Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a dispensing cartridge according to the preamble of claim 1 and a dispenser assembly according to the preamble of claim 13, in which such dispenser cartridges are used.
  • a very simple method is to mix the substance directly into the base liquid, whereby, however, an irreversible state is created and the amount of introduced substance is set once.
  • capsules for insertion into such devices in which the substance or the flavoring agent is contained, are known from the prior art.
  • the capsule In operation, the capsule is opened once and irreversibly and then emptied the entire amount of the substance in the liquid. This is disadvantageous, since in this way the capsule can be used only once and also the intensity of the addition of the donor substance is not adjustable.
  • US 2010/0187142 A1 discloses a dispensing cartridge according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • US 2010/0154644 A1 discloses a dispenser assembly according to the preamble of claim 13. It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a dispenser cartridge of the type mentioned, on the one hand well storable, but at the same time also allows a controllable and controllable release of the added donor substance.
  • first and second closure means are provided which seal the openings in an initial configuration, wherein the closure means can be brought into an operating configuration in which a flow path through the enveloping element is released for the liquid.
  • the donor substance inside the dispenser cartridge is stored safely and permanently and above all protected against external environmental influences.
  • By providing a defined flow path through the dispenser cartridge it is ensured at the same time that the flow of the liquid entering the dispenser cartridge accommodates the donor substance and exits the dispenser cartridge again, and thus this structural design of the dispenser cartridge allows control, when and how much of the donor substance gets into the fluid.
  • dispenser cartridge or the casing element has a tubular, elongated, about its central longitudinal axis around rotationally symmetrical, in particular approximately hollow cylindrical shape or that the dispenser cartridge or the enveloping element than, in particular straight, hollow cylinder with triangular cross-section, preferably as an isosceles triangle with outwardly curved legs, or is designed as a polygonal profile.
  • the enveloping element has a corrugated or jagged or curved wall, wherein the inner surface, optionally also the outer surface, of the enveloping element has a wavy or serrated configuration deviating from a circular cylinder surface having a circular diameter, it results that a good throughflow through the Donor cartridge remains permanently guaranteed, as in this way, at least in the edge region always remain channels for the passage of liquid.
  • this shaping a rotatability of the dispenser cartridge can be prevented when the dispenser cartridge is inserted into a seat with a corresponding shape in a dispenser assembly.
  • the closure means are adjustable, whereby the inlet, the flow and the outlet of the liquid in, by the or from the central space or the donor cartridge, in particular continuously, is variable.
  • the closure means are advantageously designed so that they are adjustable via externally actuated activation or adjusting means.
  • closure means are reversibly adjustable in both directions, that is, opposite to one another, and in particular can be displaced linearly along the central longitudinal or central axis.
  • the flow of the dispenser cartridge can be both increased and decreased.
  • the flow path or the flow rate through the central space or through the dispenser cartridge through the closure means by at least 50%, preferably by 70%, particularly preferably by 90%, compared to the maximum Passage capacity is reduced or that the openings are closed again completely tightly by the closure means after the first opening.
  • a structurally advantageous embodiment provides that the first and second closure means are designed as plugs or comprise plugs.
  • a guide element in particular largely or completely sunk into the interior of the central space, is arranged, wherein the stopper is mounted or arranged in each case in a central through-going recess of the guide element.
  • the plugs permanently in both the initial configuration and in the Operating configuration are arranged completely inside the dispenser cartridge or inside the central space.
  • the plugs are thus components of the dispenser cartridge, which can not be incurred or dropped separately either before, during and also after use of the dispenser cartridge, but permanently remain inside the dispenser cartridge.
  • the donor substance itself, it is advantageous if the donor substance is present in a form in which it at least partially changes into the liquid on contact with the liquid. In this way, a reliable dosage is possible.
  • the at least one donor substance is soluble or dispersible in the liquid, and is selected from the group of flavorings, drugs, additives, vitamins, minerals and / or dyes, etc. But there are also other substances possible, which can bring in this way in a liquid.
  • the donor substance is applied to or contained in at least one separate, in particular ball, rod, thread or pin-shaped, donor element arranged in the central space.
  • This also results in that the donor substance or the donor element is reversibly exchangeable or removable after use from the donor cartridge and instead a new donor element can be used.
  • a donor element in which the donor substance has a particularly good release profile results in that the donor element has a porous matrix, in particular of plastic, which defines an internal network of channels and defines pores on the exposed surface of the matrix which are in fluid communication with the channels are, wherein the pores preferably have a mean size of 20 microns to 200 microns, wherein the donor substance is in the matrix, in particular in the channels.
  • a permanently permeable by the liquid intermediate region is formed according to the invention, which remains at least partially always free, so that there is permanently at least one continuous open flow channel between the two openings. This will be for example supported by the special shape of the wall of the shell element by this wall is wavy or jagged. In this way, there can be no blockage of the bypass path and it is ensured that the donor substance is always fed into the liquid.
  • a dispensing assembly for introducing a donor substance into a liquid comprising a dispenser cartridge as described above and a dispenser cap connectable to a liquid source or container for holding and storing liquid, in particular a bottle the dispensing cartridge is operably disposed in or on the dispensing attachment or is brought into operative connection with the dispensing attachment.
  • a dispenser assembly according to claim 13 is provided.
  • the constructive separation into a main flow path and a bypass path through the dispenser cartridge ensures that not the entire part of the liquid is mixed with the donor substance or is passed through an element containing the donor substance, but the user can adjust the flow conditions and thus the dosage of the donor substance in wide areas is flexible.
  • this ensures that the donor substance is added to the liquid only immediately before use or the exit from the arrangement and thus the mixture is always fresh. In this way, any interactions or reactions of the donor substance with the liquid are reduced or avoided altogether and the user comes with every single sip in the enjoyment of a completely fresh prepared mixture.
  • the majority of the liquid can be flowed via the main flow path or that the ratio between the liquid flow rates through the main flow path and the bypass flow can be at least 1: 1, preferably 5: 1, particularly preferably 9: 1 , is.
  • the dispenser cartridge can be kept small and thin and a small amount of fluid that can flow through the dispenser cartridge is sufficient to pressurize the fluid with the donor substance.
  • a mixing chamber arranged downstream of the dispensing opening and upstream of the dispensing cartridge can be formed or formed in the dispensing attachment, into which opening the main flow path and the bypass path. In this way, a defined space is formed, in which both flow paths necessarily combine and must mix before reaching the discharge opening.
  • the arrangement according to the invention also results from the fact that the main flow path is arranged spatially outside around the bypass path, surrounding it at least in sections, in particular on all sides, in particular in the form of a plurality of separate channels or in the form of a substantially ring-shaped or cylinder jacket-shaped channel.
  • this design results in a good mixing in the mixing chamber.
  • a structurally particularly practical dispenser arrangement results from the fact that the dispenser attachment comprises a base unit and an activation unit which can be adjusted to the base unit, mechanical activation or adjustment means acting on the closure means and for opening the dispenser cartridge and thus in both the base unit and the activation unit are provided for opening the bypass path.
  • Such a device is also light and easy to use.
  • a first seat for the dispenser cartridge is formed, wherein at its distal end portion of the dispensing opening, a first activation or setting means for opening the first plug of the dispenser cartridge, in particular a short the first pin is arranged, and in that in the activation unit, a second seat for the opposite end of the donor cartridge is formed, wherein at its end near the discharge opening a second activation or adjusting means for opening the second plug, in particular a short second bolt is arranged ,
  • the dispenser cartridge can also be inserted easily and quickly into the dispenser arrangement, where it assumes a secure and central position protected on all sides.
  • the first seat is advantageously designed so that it comprises a hollow cylindrical part which extends in operation along the longitudinal axis down to the liquid source.
  • the inner surface of the first seat or the hollow cylindrical part is formed opposite or corresponding to the outer shape of the Hüllelements, in particular corrugated or serrated, whereby a safeguard against rotation of the donor cartridge is achieved in the first seat.
  • the inner surface of the second seat is preferably smooth, in particular circular cylindrical, formed, whereby a rotation of the dispenser cartridge in the second seat is possible and thus a rotation of the activation unit to the base unit with inserted dispenser cartridge is possible.
  • the base unit and the activation unit are mutually spaced adjustable, in particular rotatable by a thread, whereby the linear distance of the first activation or adjusting means to the second activation or Adjusting means is changeable, whereby by a Reducing the distance is an impression of the plug inside the dispenser cartridge is effected.
  • a secure adjustability and adjustability of the concentration of the donor substance in the liquid advantageously results from the fact that the plugs are displaceable in each case by the same path or towards each other.
  • the bolts are dimensioned so that they force and / or positively engage in the recesses of the plug, resulting in a good reversible adjustability.
  • a movement of the closure means or the plug in the direction of its original position is effected, in particular one at least 50th %, preferably by 70%, particularly preferably by 90% compared to the maximum passage capacity reduced flowability, preferably an almost complete fluid-tight closeability of the dispenser cartridge.
  • a very special advantage for the user results from the fact that the dispenser cartridge is reversibly interchangeable inserted into the dispenser assembly.
  • the dispenser attachment in particular the base unit, has a thread, preferably an internal thread, and can be screwed onto a bottle, in particular reversibly

  • the dispenser assembly 20 comprises the dispenser cartridge 1, which is operably arranged in or on the dispenser attachment 21 or can be brought into functional operative connection with the dispenser attachment 21 so that the liquid flowing through the dispenser attachment 21 can receive donor substance from the dispenser cartridge 1.
  • FIGS. 8 to 15 is a particularly advantageous, but not limiting embodiment of a dispenser assembly 20 according to the invention for introducing a donor substance shown in a liquid.
  • the dispenser arrangement 20 comprises a dispenser attachment 21 through which a liquid can flow from a container or a liquid source, the liquid being able to be brought to a dispensing opening 23. In this way, the liquid or mixture reaches the user or consumer.
  • the dispenser assembly 20 includes a dispenser cartridge 1 inserted therein, which is constructed substantially as in Figs Fig. 1 to 7 described, and which is operable and functionally connected to the dispenser attachment 21.
  • a defined main flow path 24 is formed for the liquid in the dispenser assembly 20, which extends from the source in the direction of the discharge opening 23, avoiding the dispenser cartridge 1 or on the dispenser cartridge 1.
  • a defined by the main flow path 24 fluidly defined bypass path 25 is formed by the dispensing cartridge 1 by contacting the dispenser element 15th and also receiving at least a portion of the donor substance from the fluid source toward the discharge port 23.
  • the amount is adjustable and depends inter alia on the donor substance to be supplied and the desired concentration. It is easily possible to increase the ratio of the quantities of liquid between the main flow path 24 and the bypass path 25, for example to at least 5: 1 or 9: 1.
  • a particularly advantageous embodiment of a dispenser assembly 20 is shown.
  • the donor cartridge 1 corresponds to the donor cartridge of Fig. 1 to 4 .
  • the dispenser attachment 21 comprises a base unit 28, an activation unit 29 and a closure unit 31 as basic components.
  • the base unit 28 has an internal thread 32 with which the dispenser attachment 21 can be screwed onto a bottle.
  • the base unit 28 further comprises a first seat 30a for the dispensing cartridge 1.
  • This seat 30a comprises a hollow cylindrical part 38 which extends downwards along the longitudinal axis 5 to the liquid source.
  • the inner surface of the first seat 30a or of the hollow cylindrical part 38 is formed opposite or corresponding to the outer shape of the enveloping element 2 ( Fig. 12 ).
  • the transmitter cartridge 1 is thereby secured against rotation in the base unit 28 or in the first seat 30a or in the hollow cylindrical part 38.
  • In the lowermost end region is a grid element 39 (FIG. Fig. 12 ), which has a central, upwardly directed bolt 27a.
  • This pin 27a acts as the first activation or setting means 27a and engages in the setting guide 14a of the stopper 8a of the dispensing cartridge 1.
  • a number of passage openings 33 are provided, which are arranged in a circle around the dispensing cartridge 1. This is also in detail in Fig. 11 recognizable, in which a section along the section line XI of the activation unit 29 in the direction of the base unit 28 is shown. Recognizable are the annularly arranged passage openings 33 and the view down on the first pin 27 a. In Fig. 11 For clarity, the dispenser cartridge 1 has been omitted.
  • Fig. 12 shows the section along the section line XII through the grid element 39, which carries the first pin 27 a centrally and supports.
  • the activation unit 29 connects to the top of the base unit 28 and is relative to this adjustable or rotatably mounted via a thread 40. That way the distance between the base unit 28 and the activation unit 29 changes.
  • the activation unit 29 comprises as a substantial element a second seat 30b for the opposite end of the dispenser cartridge 1.
  • a grating element in particular identical to the first grating element 39, is provided which carries a second pin 27b pointing downwards towards the base unit 28 is aligned.
  • the inner surface of the second seat 30b is circular cylindrical ( Fig. 13 ). As a result, the dispenser cartridge 1 can rotate or rotate in or relative to the second seat 30b.
  • the activation unit 29 as well as the base unit 28 is completely permeable by the liquid.
  • the liquid can enter below through inlet openings 34.
  • Fig. 13 shown which is here the section according to the section line XIII, viewed from the base unit 28 to the activation unit 29. Visible are the slot-shaped inflow openings 34 which are arranged around the donor cartridge 1, not shown, and the centrally arranged pin 27b ,
  • the dispenser cartridge 1 is seated both in the first seat 30a and in the second seat 30b and is held by the base unit 28 and the activation unit 29 and enclosed on all sides.
  • the dispenser arrangement 20 also includes the closure unit 31. This serves to close the by-pass path 25 and optionally also the main flow path 24.
  • the dispensing openings 23 are formed in the closure unit 31. These are shown in more detail in Fig. 14 in which a section according to the section line XIV is shown from below.
  • the closure unit 31 is linearly movable up and down over a number of webs 36 which are slidably mounted in guides 37 of the activation unit 29 and thus suitable for closing the flow paths.
  • Fig. 15 the individual elements are shown in assembled condition. At the bottom, the outside of the first seat 30a including hollow cylindrical part 38 can be seen, which represents the lower part of the base unit 28.
  • the activation unit 29 is then arranged at the top and then the closure unit 31 with the discharge openings 23 again.
  • the diameters of the components taper from the base unit 28 via the activation unit 29 to the closure unit 31 corresponds to the diameter of a conventional bottle mouthpiece.
  • Fig. 8 shows a cross-section through a particularly advantageous embodiment of a dispenser assembly 20, in a position in which the dispenser cartridge 1 has indeed been activated and opened, but the closure unit 31 is still closed.
  • the reference numeral 24 designates the main flow path, which can initially freely flow through a space 41 of the base unit 28 and leaves the base unit 28 through the throughflow openings 33, passes through the inflow openings 34 into the activation unit 29, flows upwards through the space 42, and the dispenser assembly 20 exits through the dispensing openings 23.
  • the discharge openings 23 are not closable by the closure unit 31, but permanently open. In this way, therefore, the pure liquid from the source can permanently flow through the dispenser assembly 20 and exit.
  • the closure unit 31 also blocks the main flow path 24 by, for example, shifting the dispensing openings 23 further inwards, whereby the web of the activation unit 29 closes them.
  • the reference numeral 25 denotes the bypass path which passes through the dispenser cartridge 1.
  • the liquid absorbs donor substance and exits from the central recess 12b from the dispensing cartridge 1 and into an annular space 43, which is subdivided by the grating element 39 into areas.
  • this annular space 43 is closed by the closure unit 31, whereby the liquid can indeed pass through the dispenser cartridge 1, but can not leave the dispenser assembly 20 and in particular can not connect to the main flow path 24. In this position, therefore, only pure liquid reaches the consumer.
  • Fig. 9 For example, the dispenser assembly 20 is shown in a position where the closure unit 31 has been opened.
  • a mixing chamber 26 is formed downstream of the discharge openings 23 and upstream of the mouth end portions of the main flow path 24 and the bypass path 25.
  • the main flow path 24 discharges from the space 42 into the mixing chamber 26 and can be distributed there.
  • the bypass passage 25 opens from the annular space 43 into the mixing chamber 26 and can also be distributed there.
  • the two streams are mixed and the pure liquid mixes with the liquid added by the donor substance. The thus mixed streams may then leave the mixing chamber 26 via the discharge openings 23.
  • the dispenser cartridge 1 is shown in each case in a maximum open position, in which the flow path through the dispenser assembly 1 is maximally open, that is, the plugs 8a, 8b are displaced maximally inward into the central space 3. In this way, the largest possible amount of donor substance is absorbed into the liquid.
  • a position of the dispenser assembly 20 is shown in which the mixing chamber 26 is formed, that is, the closure unit 31 is opened, in which, however, the flow path through the dispensing cartridge 1 is reduced. This is caused by a rotation of the activation unit 29 in comparison to the base unit 28 (indicated by the arrow), whereby a gap region 44 recognizable between these units is formed. This increases the linear distance of the two bolts 27a, 27b to each other. Due to the fact that the bolt 27b engages in the plug 8b with clamping and snug fit, the bolt 27b carries the plug 8b upward when the activating unit 29 is displaced upward.
  • the plug 8b reduces the central recess 12b and thus reduces the escape of the liquid from the dispensing cartridge 1.
  • the outlet is almost completely prevented, since the plug 8b already almost tight against the central recess 12b.
  • the flow rate is reduced by at least 50%, in particular cases at least 70% or at least 90%, compared to the maximum possible flow rate at full aperture, so there is always some residual flow and it remains always some liquid enriched with donor substance passes through the dispenser cartridge 1 in the direction of the annular space 43 and the mixing chamber 26.
  • the bypass path 25 is thus largely closed and only a very small amount of donor substance passes into the mixing space 26 and subsequently to the discharge openings 23.
  • the inner circumference of the hollow cylindrical part 38 in the base unit 28 may be an inside smooth, circular cylindrical one Have cross-section.
  • the dispenser cartridge 1 can be secured in the activation unit 29 by opposite or corresponding formation of the inner periphery of the second seat 30b to the outer shape of the enveloping element 2 against rotation.
  • the inner circumference of the second seat 30b may also have an inner smooth, circular cylindrical cross section, so that the dispenser cartridge 1 can rotate about its longitudinal axis both in the first seat 30a and in the second seat 30b.
  • the base unit 28 is placed with the thread 32 on the external thread of the bottle.
  • the first seat 30a extends into the interior of the bottle, wherein the seat 30a is above the liquid level. It is thereby excluded that donor substance penetrates into the liquid.
  • a sealed dispensing cartridge 1 is inserted into the base unit 28.
  • a donor substance for example, a flavoring agent is used in the present case.
  • the insertion and the secure hold are facilitated by the fact that both the dispenser cartridge 1 and the corresponding recess or the first seat 30a have a corresponding corrugated shape. In this way, the donor cartridge 1 is also secured against rotation.
  • the activation unit 29 is placed on the base unit 28 and screwed by rotation over the thread 40 down. This reduces the distance between the bolts 27a and 27b and both plugs 8a and 8b are pushed inwardly by a perceptible click.
  • the dispenser cartridge 1 is thus activated and in the open operating configuration in which there is a flow path therethrough.
  • the closure unit 31 is opened by lifting relative to the activation unit 29, whereby the mixing chamber 26 is formed and all flow paths are opened.
  • the water from the bottle enters the mixing chamber 26 both through the main flow path 24 and into the mixing chamber 26 as well as through the bypass path 25 through the dispensing cartridge 1.
  • the bypass flow 25 takes the maximum amount of flavoring and you can thus remove a flavored water from the discharge openings 23.
  • bypass 25 can be completely closed by closing the closure unit 31.
