Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif (1) pour manipuler et/ou transporter des cylindres de travail (2, 3) et/ou des cylindres de soutien (4, 5) d'une cage de laminoir (6), avec lequel les cylindres de travail (2, 3) et/ou les cylindres de soutien (4, 5) peuvent être amenés de la cage de laminoir (6) dans un atelier pour cylindres (10) au moyen d'une locomotive (9) pouvant être déplacée sur une voie (7, 8). Pour pouvoir manipuler ou encore transporter différents cylindres avec une seule locomotive sans mécanisme d'accouplement compliqué, l'invention prévoit que soient disposées à des niveaux de hauteur différents (h1, h2) au moins deux voies (7, 8) sur lesquelles un cylindre (2, 3, 4, 5) peut être déplacé au moyen de la locomotive (9) et qu'il y ait une table de levage (11) qui sert et convient au soulèvement ou à l'abaissement de la locomotive (9) à un de ces au moins deux niveaux de hauteur différents (h1, h2) pour l'amener sur la voie (7, 8) concernée.
