Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method for producing a footlet having a slot-shaped access opening on a circular knitting machine with at least one first and one second knitting system, wherein the first knitting system is associated with a first quadrant and the second knitting system with a second quadrant. It also relates to a programmable circular knitting machine whose programming is designed to perform such a method, as well as a computer program product for a circular knitting machine, which is designed for carrying out such a method.
  • footlets are, to a first approximation, socks that lack the tubular part intended to cover the lower part of the calf. Footlets have become increasingly popular for several years. They are particularly popular with sports shoes and sneakers and have the advantage that, although the impression is given to the outside, the wearer would wear the shoe directly on the skin, which is actually not so. Rather, the wearer achieves this desired optical effect and still has the advantage that between his skin and the shoe is a substance that absorbs perspiration and reduces sweat odor and friction. This results in a comfortable fit with an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
  • a circular knitting machine Under a circular knitting machine is a knitting machine to understand in which the stitch-forming elements, ie in particular needles and boards, circular are arranged.
  • a thread is inserted into the latch needles, the needle is closed and the thread is pulled through the loop which was already on the needle. Subsequently, the needle is opened again and pushed upwards, ie expelled.
  • the boards which are arranged between the needles, have substantially the shape of a horizontal Us. Their task is to keep the finished knitted mesh horizontally at the same height. The knit comes to lie inside one of these Us, before it is pulled off and wound up in the lower part of the circular knitting machine.
  • the needles migrate while standing vertically in a circle. It is important in machine knitting as constant as possible thread feed. This is taken over by so-called yarn guides during machine knitting. Of these, several are arranged according to the number of threads to be processed simultaneously on the circular knitting machine.
  • the leg cuff i. the manhole
  • a tube is first knitted, cut out the opening and then a bunch, including a rubber band, chipped.
  • a sock-like article of footwear comprising a sole, a partially formed upper foot region, a heel and a toe, the heel and the tip being shaped to receive the corresponding parts of the wearer's foot and a foot access opening of the carrier between the heel and the tip in the region of the partially formed upper foot part is provided.
  • a foot-covering insole or a protective sock which is made on a circular stocking knitting machine and consists of two bag-like opposing parts, which are joined together in a central region in one piece, and a rubber space, the by directly knitting together with the two parts in one piece on the pendulum-type circular knitting machine is made.
  • the US 3,059,458 discloses a method of manufacturing a plurality of foot covers from a plurality of intermeshing tubular members, the method comprising the steps of: knitting a continuous seamless tube, alternately forming three different symmetrical areas during the knitting operation, firstly a hem containing rubber threads, secondly a main piece and thirdly excess Stitching between the end of the main piece and the beginning of the next seam, each of the three different regions having the same knit structure over the entire length and perimeter, cutting off the superfluous courses, and forming a stretchable seam at the end of the main piece opposite the seam the entire circumference of the hose.
  • a disadvantage of the known feet is the fact that they often have the tendency to slip into the shoe with increasing wearing time. This results in an uncomfortable wearing sensation and leads to chafing due to friction, especially at the foot - foot transition.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to develop a generic method such that it can be used to produce a footlet which has a significantly lower tendency to slip into the shoe when worn.
  • the object continues to be to provide a corresponding programmable circular knitting machine and a corresponding computer program product.
  • the present invention is based on the finding that these objects can be achieved if the manhole is knitted so that it is slit-shaped, wherein the knitting process is to be designed such that the possibility is provided that the slot, i. the actual manhole for the foot, surrounding area, using a different thread to knit than the surrounding knit.
  • the slot i. the actual manhole for the foot, surrounding area
  • the material surrounding the slot threads which are characterized in particular by a higher elasticity than the threads used for the rest of the fabric.
  • a footlet which is characterized by a narrowest possible entry opening, which is preferably closed by a thread with high elasticity.
  • a footlet is created, which is not visible outside the shoe and reliably counteracts slipping into the shoe. This results in an outstanding wearing comfort, an excellent protection against chafing and a lasting pleasant wearing feeling.
