Description
The present invention relates to a method for producing a footlet having a slot-shaped access opening on a circular knitting machine with at least one first and one second knitting system, wherein the first knitting system is associated with a first quadrant and the second knitting system with a second quadrant. It also relates to a programmable circular knitting machine whose programming is designed to perform such a method, as well as a computer program product for a circular knitting machine, which is designed for carrying out such a method.
So-called footlets are, to a first approximation, socks that lack the tubular part intended to cover the lower part of the calf. Footlets have become increasingly popular for several years. They are particularly popular with sports shoes and sneakers and have the advantage that, although the impression is given to the outside, the wearer would wear the shoe directly on the skin, which is actually not so. Rather, the wearer achieves this desired optical effect and still has the advantage that between his skin and the shoe is a substance that absorbs perspiration and reduces sweat odor and friction. This results in a comfortable fit with an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Under a circular knitting machine is a knitting machine to understand in which the stitch-forming elements, ie in particular needles and boards, circular are arranged. In machine circular knitting, a thread is inserted into the latch needles, the needle is closed and the thread is pulled through the loop which was already on the needle. Subsequently, the needle is opened again and pushed upwards, ie expelled. The boards, which are arranged between the needles, have substantially the shape of a horizontal Us. Their task is to keep the finished knitted mesh horizontally at the same height. The knit comes to lie inside one of these Us, before it is pulled off and wound up in the lower part of the circular knitting machine. The needles migrate while standing vertically in a circle. It is important in machine knitting as constant as possible thread feed. This is taken over by so-called yarn guides during machine knitting. Of these, several are arranged according to the number of threads to be processed simultaneously on the circular knitting machine.
Other important properties of circular knitting machines are the number of knitting systems realized thereon, the diameter of the circular knitting machine and its fineness, ie. H. For example, the number of needles per inch.
For example, in known feet, the leg cuff, i. the manhole, made-to-order. Here, a tube is first knitted, cut out the opening and then a bunch, including a rubber band, chipped.

A disadvantage of the known feet is the fact that they often have the tendency to slip into the shoe with increasing wearing time. This results in an uncomfortable wearing sensation and leads to chafing due to friction, especially at the foot - foot transition.
The object of the present invention is therefore to develop a generic method such that it can be used to produce a footlet which has a significantly lower tendency to slip into the shoe when worn. The object continues to be to provide a corresponding programmable circular knitting machine and a corresponding computer program product.
These objects are achieved by a method having the features of
The present invention is based on the finding that these objects can be achieved if the manhole is knitted so that it is slit-shaped, wherein the knitting process is to be designed such that the possibility is provided that the slot, i. the actual manhole for the foot, surrounding area, using a different thread to knit than the surrounding knit. By this measure can then be used for the material surrounding the slot threads, which are characterized in particular by a higher elasticity than the threads used for the rest of the fabric.
By means of the method according to the invention, it is possible to produce a footlet which is characterized by a narrowest possible entry opening, which is preferably closed by a thread with high elasticity. As a result, a footlet is created, which is not visible outside the shoe and reliably counteracts slipping into the shoe. This results in an outstanding wearing comfort, an excellent protection against chafing and a lasting pleasant wearing feeling.
Accordingly, in the method according to the invention the step of knitting the manhole of the footlet, wherein at least a first, a second and a third area are formed in the transverse direction of the manhole, wherein in the longitudinal direction of the manhole a first, a second and a third section are formed the following sub-steps: First, the second and the third region of the first section is knitted, within which the knitting system knitting the second region with the knitting system knitting the third region, wherein the knitting system knitting the first region with the knitting system knitting the second and the third region engages. Subsequently, the second and third regions of the second portion are knitted, within which the knitting system knitting the second region does not engage with the knitting system knitting the third region, the knitting system knitting the first region engaging with the knitting system knitting the second and third regions. Finally, the second and third portions of the third portion are knitted, within which the knitting system knitting the second portion engages the knitting system knitting the third portion, the knitting system knitting the first portion engaging the knitting system knitting the second and third portions.
In other words, first the knitting system knitting the second and the third area cooperate, whereby the heel-facing area is knitted in front of the access opening. For knitting the slit-shaped manhole then these two knitting systems do not grip together, and finally, for knitting the tip-side area above the manhole, then the two knitting systems back together. The third knitting system involved in knitting the manhole intersects the first area that is outside the second and third areas, i.e., the first area. H. in top-plan view, the left side of the footlet, the sole and the right side of the footlet.
In a preferred embodiment in which the circular knitting machine comprises only a first and a second knitting system, in the first, second and third sections, the knitting system knitting the first section is the second knitting system, the knitting system knitting the second section is the second knitting system and the third section knitting knitting system also the second knitting system, the first portion is knit with a first thread type, wherein the second portion is knitted with a second thread type and wherein the third portion is knitted with a third thread type. Although this embodiment is accompanied by a multiplicity of thread guide changes, it nevertheless makes it possible to carry out the method according to the invention already on a circular knitting machine with only two knitting systems.
In a further preferred embodiment, the circular knitting machine comprises a first, a second and a third knitting system, wherein the third knitting system is associated with a third quadrant, wherein in the first, in the second and in the third section, the knitting system knitting the first region is the second knitting system the second region knitting system is the second knitting system and the third region knitting system is the third knitting system, the first region being knit with a first type of yarn, the second region being knit with a second type of yarn and the third region being knitted with a third Thread type is knitted. This variant is characterized by the fact that, even on a circular knitting machine with only three knitting systems, it makes it possible to carry out the method according to the invention and, with respect to the aforementioned preferred embodiment, manages with significantly fewer thread guide changes. In particular, the circular knitting machine only has to comprise fewer yarn guides.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the circular knitting machine comprises a first, a second, a third and a fourth knitting system, wherein the third knitting system, a third and the fourth knitting system is assigned a fourth quadrant, wherein in the first, in the second and in the third section, the first The knitting knitting system is the second knitting system, the knitting system knitting the second region is the fourth knitting system, and the third knit knitting system is the third knitting system, knitting the first portion with a first thread type, the second portion knitting with a second thread type and wherein the third region is knitted with a third type of thread. This embodiment comes with a minimum of yarn guide changes and thus with a minimum of yarn guides to be provided. However, it requires a circular knitting machine with at least four knitting systems.
It is preferred if, in the first, second and third sections, the second and third thread types have a greater elasticity than the first thread type. By a great elasticity a particularly secure hold of the footlet is achieved on the foot and thus particularly reliably prevents slipping into the shoe.
It is furthermore preferred if in the first, second and third sections the first, second and third regions are knitted in pendulum motion.
Preferably, within the second section in each row, the number of stitches in the second area corresponds to the number of stitches in the third area. This results in a slot opening in which the elastic end is symmetrical.
A preferred development is characterized in that at the beginning of the first sub-step for knitting the access opening in each row, the sum of the mesh numbers in the second and in the third area comprises a first number m1 and at the end of the first sub-step a second number m2, the second Number m2 is less than or equal to the first number m1. If the second number m2 is actually smaller than the first number m1, this means that the distance over which the second and third areas are contacted with the surrounding area, ie. H. connected to this, is designed to be particularly long, whereby a particularly secure protection against tearing can be provided. The footlet produced with it is characterized by a significantly increased durability, an even better elasticity and thus an even better wearing comfort.
Besonders bevorzugt beträgt dann innerhalb des zweiten Abschnitts in jeder Reihe die Maschenzahl im zweiten Bereich und die Maschenzahl im dritten Bereich m2/2.Most preferably, then, within the second section in each row, the mesh size in the second area and the mesh size in the third area is m2 / 2.
Appropriate measures can also be provided at the upper end of the manhole. Thus, at the beginning of the third sub-step of manufacturing the area of the manhole in each row, the sum of the stitches in the second and third regions may comprise a third number m3 and at the end of the third sub-stage a fourth number m4, the fourth number m4 being greater than or equal to third number is m3. As a result, a correspondingly increased security against tearing is also provided at the tip-side end of the manhole. However, that is There, the risk of tearing is generally reduced since the instep of the foot, in contrast to the heel area, is essentially flat.
Preferably, prior to knitting the area of the manhole, a heel of the boot is knitted. In this case, first a first section is knitted with at least the first knitting system in the concentricity and then knitted a second section with the first knitting system by raising and lowering to form the actual heel.
Furthermore, preferably after knitting the area of the manhole, a tip of the footlet is knitted. In this case, first a first section is knit with at least the first knitting system in the concentricity, then a second section with the first knitting system by up and down and finally a third section with at least the first knitting system in the concentricity.
It can be provided that between the knitting of the first portion and the second portion of the tip of the footlet, a fourth portion is knitted with a thread which differs from the thread used for the first and the second portion of the lace, in particular with regard to its color , As a result, the tip of the footlet can be permanently marked in a particularly simple manner in order to avoid confusion with the heel and thus to ensure a correct tightening of the footlet. The risk of tearing out the second and third areas in the area of the access opening or the tearing of the area in which the knitting system knitting the second and the third area is significantly reduced.

A circular knitting machine, which is suitable with appropriate programming for carrying out the method according to the invention, is the Magica of Colosio. Particularly preferred is a 3 ¾ inch diameter magica having 120 needles. A greater fineness would result on a version with 156 needles, a reduced fineness on a version with 96 or 84 needles. The aforementioned Magica Colosio has in addition to four knitting systems an electronic control by an on-board microprocessor, as well as 18 electro-pneumatic yarn guides and a rubber yarn guide, which is electronically controlled via a feeder. It includes eight sets of needle / needle selection sensors, and allows knitting of the heel and toe without mitigation fingers.
It also has a floppy disk drive or an interface, in particular a USB interface, via which a knitting program can be copied into a memory of the circular knitting machine, from which it then comes to execution.
Dabei steht die Abkürzung EL für Elastan, Nm für Nummer metrisch (Garnstärke), PA für Polyamid, CO für Baumwolle, dtex für Dezitex (Garnstärke), wobei 1 tex = 1/1000 * 1/Nm.For the knitting of the second B2 and the third area B3, the following yarn is preferably used: 200 dtex EL plus 78/1 PA (wound). For the first area as well as for the top and the heel the following yarn is preferably used: 2 x Nm 50/1 CO plus 20/70 PA / EL (85dtex elastane). The abbreviation EL stands for elastane, Nm for number metric (yarn thickness), PA for polyamide, CO for cotton, dtex for decitex (yarn thickness), where 1 tex = 1/1000 * 1 / Nm.
In general, for the second B2 and the third area B3, preferably an elastane thread is used, which is wound with polyamide. This results in a higher elasticity and an increased clamping force compared to a cotton thread. For the rest of the fabric, a polyamide-clad cotton thread is preferably used. The outside is knitted with cotton and the inside with polyamide.
The width at the beginning of the area B2 and the area B3 in the section A1 is preferably 11 meshes. These are reduced to 5 stitches until the end of
