Description

„Ballschlaggerät, insbesondere Tennis- oder Squashschläger"
B e s c h r e i b u n g
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Ballschlaggerät, insbesondere Tennis- oder Squashschläger, mit einem einen Griff umfassenden Schaft, einem sich an einem Ende des Schaftes anschließenden Kopf mit Ballschlagfläche, insbesondere in Form von sich kreuzenden Saiten, und mit - einer am anderen bzw. dem Kopf gegenüber liegenden Ende des Schaftes angeordneten Abschlußkappe.
Derartige Ballschlaggeräte sind allgemein bekannt und im Handel erhältlich. Ein Tennisschläger dieser Art ist in den Figuren 4 und 5 dargestellt. Fig. 4 zeigt den Tennisschläger in Draufsicht und Fig. 5 in Seitenansicht. Der in diesen Figuren dargestellte und dort allgemein mit 1 bezeichnete Tennisschläger besteht in bekannter Weise im wesentlichen aus einem Schlägerkopf 2, aus dem von zwei Stegen 3 gebildeten Herzstück 9 sowie aus dem an das Herzstück 9 anschließenden Schlägerhals oder -schaft 4. Der Schlägerkopf 2 wird weiterhin in bekannter Weise von einem Kopfrahmen 5 begrenzt, der eine von sich kreu- zenden Saiten 6 gebildete Bespannung 7 bzw. Schlagfläche trägt.
Am freien Ende, d.h. dem Schlägerkopf 2 abgewandten Ende ist der Schaft 4 durch eine stirnseitig aufbringbare Abschlußkappe 8 abgedeckt.
Der Schaft 4 weist auch noch einen Griff 10 auf.
Im vorliegenden Fall geht es nun darum, die Balance des Schlägers durch einfache Mittel einzustellen, d.h. den Schläger mehr oder weniger köpf- bzw. grifflastig zu machen. Auf diese Art und Weise kann der Spieler den Schläger individuell auf sich in einfacher Weise einstellen.
Dieses Ziel wird dadurch erreicht, daß die stirnseitige Schaft-Abschlußkappe eine Aus- nehmung zur Aufnahme eines Gewichtelements aufweist. Je schwerer das Gewichtselement ist, desto grifflastiger wird der Schläger, und umgekehrt. Sofern nur ein geringes Gewicht oder überhaupt kein Gewicht verwendet wird, ist der Schläger kopflastiger. Bei Verwendung eines mittleren Gewichts in der Größenordnung von etwa 4 g bis 6 g, insbesondere etwa 5 g, ist der Schläger relativ gut ausbalanciert bzw. gleichgewichtig zwischen Kopf und Griff. Doch wie gesagt, bevorzugen einige Spieler einen mehr kopflastigen
Schläger und andere Spieler einen mehr grifflastigen Schläger. Dies hängt sowohl von der Technik als auch von der Schlagstärke des einzelnen Spielers ab. Hier möchte der Erfinder die Möglichkeit einer individuellen Anpassung schaffen.
Bezüglich vorteilhafter konkreter Aus führungs formen und konstruktiver Details wird auf die Ansprüche 2 bis 10 verwiesen.
Nachstehend wird eine bevorzugte Aus führungs form einer erfindungsgemäßen Schlägerkonstruktion anhand der anliegenden Zeichnung näher beschrieben. Diese zeigt in
Fig. 1 einen schematischen Längsschnitt durch eine Schaft-Abschlußkappe samt äußerem Deckel gemäß Erfindung;
Fig. 2 die Kappe samt Deckel in perspektivischer Ansicht; und
Fig. 3 eine erfindungsgemäß ausgebildete Schaft-Abschlußkappe im Längsschnitt.
Entsprechend den Figuren 1 bis 3 weist die erfindungsgemäß ausgebildete Schaft-Abschlußkappe 8 eine topfartige Ausnehmung 11 zur Aufnahme eines scheibenartigen Gewichtselements 12 auf. Das Gewichtselement 12 ist nach Art einer Münze ausgebildet und weist eine Dicke auf, die der Tiefe der topfartigen Ausnehmung 11 entspricht. Der Durchmesser des Gewichtselements ist ebenfalls nur geringfügig kleiner als der Innendurchmesser der topfartigen Ausnehmung 11. In Fig. 1 sind drei scheibenartige Gewichtselemente 12 innerhalb der topfartigen Ausnehmung 11 angeordnet. Jede dieser Scheiben hat ein unterschiedliches Gewicht, z.B. in der Abstufung von 2 g. Durch Austausch dieser einzelnen Gewichtsscheiben läßt sich das Gesamtgewicht innerhalb der Schaft-Abschlußkappe sehr individuell einstellen. Vorzugsweise dient die Ausnehmung 11 jedoch nur zur Aufnahme eines einzigen Gewichtselements mit vorbestimmtem Gewicht von z.B. 5 g oder 10 g. Ein 10 g-Gewicht macht den Schläger eher grifflastig. Ein 5 g- Gewicht führt zu einem gewissen Ausgleich zwischen Kopf- und Grifflastigkeit. Der Schläger ist weitgehend ausbalanciert.
Es ist jedoch auch denkbar, die Ausnehmung 11 ganz leer zu lassen, so daß der Schläger eher kopflastig wird.
Die Kappe 8 ist bei einer bevorzugten Aus führungs form auf das stirnseitige Ende des Schaftes 4 unter Verrastung mit diesem aufsteckbar. Zu diesem Zweck weist die Kappe 8 seitliche Rastelemente 13 mit radial nach außen vorstehenden Rastnasen 14 auf. Diese hintergreifen eine Ausnehmung, insbesondere Ringnut an der Innenseite des Schaftes 4, der in der Regel hohl ausgebildet ist. Mit etwas Geschicklichkeit läßt sich die Kappe 8 vom stirnseitigen Ende des Schaftes 4 lösen, um bei Bedarf eine Kappe anzubringen, die ein andersgewichtiges Gewichts element enthält.
Die Ausnehmung 11 der Kappe 8 ist — wie bereits dargelegt — topfartig ausgebildet, und zwar derart, daß sie sich bei montierter Kappe 8 am stirnseitigen Ende des Schaftes 4 in diesen hinein erstreckt. Die Ausnehmung 11 ist also vom Prinzip her von der Außenseite her zugänglich. Dies gilt insbesondere dann, wenn die Kappe 8 an ihrer im montierten
Zustand freien Seite durch einen Deckel 15 abgedeckt ist. Dieser Deckel 15 dient bei der konkreten Aus führungs form zugleich zur Abdeckung der Ausnehmung 11.
Der Deckel 15 ist zum Zwecke der Zugänglichkeit der Ausnehmung 11 auf die Kappe 8 vorzugsweise aufrastbar, insbesondere unter im wesentlichen spielfreiem Einschluß des oder der Gewichtselemente 12. Alternativ ist es auch denkbar, daß der Deckel 15 auf die Kappe aufklebbar oder aufsiegelbar ist. Dann ist jedoch die Ausnehmung 11 nicht mehr ohne weiteres zugänglich. Zum Zwecke einer Änderung der Kopf- bzw. Grifflastigkeit des Schlägers ist es dann erforderlich, die gesamte Kappe 8 auszutauschen, d.h. die eine Kappe durch eine andere Kappe einschließlich Gewichtselement auszutauschen.
Die Kappe 8 und der Deckel 15 bestehen entweder aus Kunststoff oder Metall, oder Metall-Kunststoff-Verbund.
Um einem Spieler die Möglichkeit zu geben, die Kopf- bzw. Grifflastigkeit zu ändern, ist erfindungsgemäß noch vorgesehen, einen Satz mehrerer unterschiedlich schwerer Gewichtselemente bzw. alternativ einen Satz von Kappen mit unterschiedlich schweren Gewichtselementen zur Verfügung zu stellen. Das Grundgewicht der Gewichtselemente beträgt vorzugsweise 2,0 g, 5,0 g und 10,0 g. Doch wie bereits vorstehend erwähnt, ist es auch möglich, mehrteilige Gewichtselemente zur Verfügung zu stellen, die sich jeweils um 1,0 g oder 2,0 g unterscheiden. Damit ist ein sehr fein abgestufter Gewichtsausgleich möglich.
Die Gewichtselemente bestehen vorzugsweise aus Metall, wie Stahl, Edelstahl, Kupfer, Aluminium oder einer Legierung davon.
Sämtliche in den Anmeldungsunterlagen offenbarten Merkmale werden als erfindungswesentlich beansprucht, soweit sie einzeln oder in Kombination gegenüber dem Stand der Technik neu sind.

Claims

„Ballschlaggerät, insbesondere Tennis- oder Squashschläger"Patentansprüche
1. Ballschlaggerät, insbesondere Tennis- oder Squashschläger, mit einem einen Griff (10) umfassenden Schaft (4), einem sich an einem Ende des Schaftes (4) anschließenden Kopf (2) mit Ballschlagfläche (7), insbesondere in Form von sich kreuzenden Saiten (6), und mit - einer am anderen bzw. dem Kopf (2) gegenüber liegenden Ende des Schaftes
(4) angeordneten Schaft-Abschlußkappe (8), dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schaft- Abschlußkappe (8) eine Ausnehmung (11) zur Aufnahme wenigstens eines Gewichtselements (12) aufweist.
2. Ballschlaggerät nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Kappe (8) auf dem stirnseitigen Ende des Schaftes (4) lösbar befestigt ist, insbesondere auf das stirnseitige Ende des Schaftes (4) unter Verrastung mit diesem aufsteckbar ist.
3. Ballschlaggerät nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Ausnehmung (11) der Kappe (8) topfartig ausgebildet ist derart, daß sie sich bei montierter Kappe (8) in den Schaft (4) hinein erstreckt.
4. Ballschlaggerät nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Kappe (8) an ihrer im montierten Zustand freien Seite, insbesondere die von dieser Seite her zugängliche Ausnehmung (11) der Kappe (8) durch einen Deckel (15) abgedeckt ist.
5. Ballschlaggerät nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Deckel (15) auf die Kappe (8) aufrastbar, aufklebbar oder aufsiegelbar ist, insbesondere unter im wesentlichen spielfreiem Einschluß eines Gewichtselements
(12).
6. Ballschlaggerät nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Kappe (8) und/oder der Deckel (15) aus Metall und/oder Kunststoff hergestellt sind, insbesondere als Kunststoff-Spritzgußteile.
7. Ballschlaggerät nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Satz mehrerer unterschiedlich schwerer Gewichtselemente (12) bzw. ein Satz von Kappen (8) mit unterschiedlich schweren Gewichtselementen (12) zur Verfügung gestellt ist.
8. Ballschlaggerät nach Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
Gewichtselemente (12) mit 2,0 g, 5,0 g und 10,0 g zur Verfügung gestellt sind.
9. Ballschlaggerät nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Gewichtselemente (12) jeweils scheibenförmig nach Art einer Geldmünze ausgebildet sind.
10. Ballschlaggerät nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Gewichtselemente (12) und/oder die Kappen (8) samt Gewichtselement austauschbar sind.
