L'invention concerne un autoradio (10) comportant un lecteur MPeg amovible, en particulier un lecteur MP3 amovible (12). Selon l'invention : cet autoradio (10) comprend une partie de base (13) qui comporte au moins une partie radio ; le lecteur MPeg se présente sous la forme d'un module d'insertion et forme une unité avec la partie de base (13) lorsqu'il se trouve à l'état d'insertion ; le lecteur MPeg comporte des éléments de commande (17) et un champ d'affichage (16) ; le lecteur MPeg est configuré sous la forme d'un appareil portatif ; la partie de base (13) et le lecteur MPeg comportent des contacts électriques correspondants qui forment une liaison de transmission lorsque le lecteur MPeg se trouve à l'état d'insertion ; la partie de base (13) comprend un côté frontal librement accessible (18). L'objectif de cette invention est de concevoir un autoradio pourvu d'un lecteur MPeg amovible, qui soit peu onéreux et qui permette une manipulation simple et facile. A cet effet, les éléments de commande (17) et le champs d'affichage (16) du lecteur MPeg sont disposés sur le côté frontal (18) de manière à pouvoir être actionnés, lorsque ledit lecteur se trouve à l'état d'insertion.
