Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for stapling from collected printed sheet formed printed products and the Trimming the printed products at the open side edges, with a first saddle stitcher, the first stapler and with a downstream of the first saddle stitcher first cutting machine and with a switchable second Saddle stitcher, which has a second stapler and with a second saddle stitcher downstream second Cutting machine, and with a transfer element between the row staplers.
- a tandem saddle stitcher of the type mentioned is by EP 1 232 978 A1 become known.
- the first saddle stitcher will too Slave and the second saddle stitcher called Master.
- Both saddle stitchers are each with a saddle chain or another suitable conveyor organ, at least one feeder, one Stapler, a cutting device and usually with an ejector and a stacker provided. In the stacker The printed products produced are stacked.
- the cutting machines are preferably three-knife and are also Called trimmer. After the first stapler is the ejector arranged, with which the printed products to the first Cutting machine to be handed over.
- This tandem saddle stitcher is either in a so-called solo operation or a Tandem operation usable.
- each cutting machine has an asynchronous motor and each stapler on a servomotor.
- the servomotors follow each with its own asynchronous motor and drive the collector chain and the investors of their own saddle stitcher.
- the two saddle stitchers are on the transfer element connected with each other. They work at the same time together, the asynchronous motor of the first cutting machine and However, the ejector of the first cutting machine stand still. In tandem operation the first cutting machine must not run, otherwise the knives will become dull.
- the servomotor of the first Stapling machine follows the asynchronous motor of the second cutting machine.
- the disadvantage here is that there is no possibility Staple precursors with the first stapler. in the Tandem operation the printed products run at standstill Stapling through the first stapler and be thus not stapled in this one. Should staple products stapled must be stapled in another saddle stitcher and created a second time.
- the invention has for its object to provide a device of the type mentioned above, which allows a stapling of a partial product in the first saddle stitcher connected in series saddle stitchers.
- the problem is solved according to claim 1.
- the inventive device is in tandem operation disconnected the first cutting machine from the main drive.
- the first cutting machine is thus still.
- the first stapler is by a the first saddle stitcher and the first Cutting machine associated drive motor driven and not as before from the asynchronous motor of the second cutting machine.
- This makes it possible to bow on the first saddle stitcher astride and in the first stapler too baste.
- the pre-stitched partial products can with the transfer element transported to the investors of the second saddle stitcher become.
- the investors put the second saddle stitcher more sheets on the pre-stitched printed product.
- the stapler the second saddle stitcher staples the entire printed product and thus the individual sheets of the second saddle stitcher and the pre-stitched sheets of the first saddle stitcher.
- Possible is also a tandem operation where only the partial products stapled to the first saddle stitcher.
- the other bows of the second saddle stitcher are then only stapled to the Partial product applied and not stapled.
- the said drive motor arranged in the first three-knife trimmer.
- this drive motor via a clutch with the first Cutting machine connected.
- the first Cutting machine uncoupled from the drive motor.
- the drive motor drives for example via a gear arrangement the first stapler, the feeder of the first saddle stitcher as well the first collection chain. For example, via a superposition gearbox becomes the transfer element from the first saddle stitcher driven.
- the drive motor arranged on the first stapler.
- the drive motor can be coupled with the first cutting machine. In the coupled state and thus in solo mode drives the engine of the first stapler the first cutting machine and for example via a further gear arrangement the Feeder and a conveyor device resp. Chain of the first Saddle stitcher.
- the said drive motor a servo motor and in particular via a gear arrangement with other organs of the first saddle stitcher connected. These are driven by Antriebstmotor organs in particular the collecting chain and feeder of the first saddle stitcher.
- Vorheft istстетда ⁇ дант ⁇ is a Vorheft plante provided in which the first cutting machine of said Main drive is disconnected and said main drive the first stitching machine and a collecting chain as well as investor of the first saddle stitcher drives, with one after the first saddle stitcher arranged ejector is disengaged.
- the stitched Part products can in the second saddle stitcher through additional sheets are added to a main product.
- the second Stapling machine can handle the entire product, and thus the single sheet of the second saddle stitcher and the pre-stitched Staple the bow of the first saddle stitcher.
- Figures 1, 3 and 4 show a device 1, a first saddle stitcher A and a second saddle stitcher B, which are arranged inline to each other.
- the two saddle stitchers A and B are interconnected by a transfer element 2 eligible to be linked. With this transfer element 2 can Products or partial products of the first saddle stitcher A dem second saddle stitcher B are passed.
- a transfer element 2 is described for example in EP 1 232 978 A1.
- the first saddle stitcher A has a gathering chain 3 or a another suitable conveying device, with the example Sheet can be promoted astride.
- the conveying direction is indicated in Figure 3 with an arrow 26 and runs thus from right to left.
- the first saddle stitcher A has In addition, several investors 4, each with printed sheets on the Collector chain 3 are stored. After the investors 4 is a Stapling machine 5 arranged, with which the collected sheet can be stapled at its fold F. After the stapler 5 is a per se known ejector 24 is arranged with the lifted the collected sheet from the gathering chain 3 and a first cutting machine 6 can be fed.
- the transport direction after the ejector 24 is in Figure 4 with the arrow 27th indicated.
- the transport direction in the cutting machine 6 thus takes place at right angles to the transport direction according to the arrow 26.
- the first cutting machine 6 is preferably not Mandatory a three-knife trimmer. After the cutting machine 6 is For example, arranged a cross-stacker 7, with which the cut Print products can be stacked. After all is still a conveyor belt 25 for dispensing the stack provided.
- the second saddle stitcher B can be constructed similarly or identically be like the first saddle stitcher A.
- a Stapling machine 5 ' In front of an ejector 24 ' is a Stapling machine 5 'arranged, which may be the same like the stapler 5.
- the second saddle stitcher B a cutting machine 6 ', a crosslapper 7' and a conveyor belt 25 '.
- the device 1 can basically in two modes be used.
- the first mode the so-called Solo operation
- the two saddle stitchers A and B are separated used from each other, the transfer element 2 is here thus shut down.
- Both saddle stitchers A and B can work simultaneously operate. It is also possible to use only of a saddle stitcher A or B.
- the second mode is a so-called tandem operation. In this are the two Saddle stitcher A and B with the transfer element 2 with each other connected.
- the cutting machine 6 and according to the stacker 7 and the conveyor belt 25 are shut down.
- tandem operation Again, there are three variants of the procedure, the following will be explained in more detail with reference to FIGS 2a to 2c.
- a partial product 8 produced is for example from several sheets not shown here.
- the sub-product 8 has a fold F and is as in Figure 1 indicated transported astride the gathering chain 3.
- the partial product 8 is with the first stapler. 5 stapled and thus at the fold F, for example, with two wire clips 21 provided.
- This sub-product 8 is with the transfer element 2 passed to the second saddle stitcher B and in this is a second partial product on the first partial product 8 9 produced.
- This second sub-product 9 will turn Stapled and provided with brackets 22, which also the Can take sub-product 8.
- From the two partial products 8 and 9 produces a total product 10.
- This total product 10 thus contains on the inside the partial product 8, which stands alone is stapled.
- the overall product 10 becomes the second cutting machine 6 'fed and in this in the usual way with a Front, foot and head section provided. Finally, be the total products 10 in the stacker 7 'stacked and with the Conveyor belt 25 'designed.
- the Sub Product 8 stapled in the second saddle stitcher B is a Part product 11 prepared and added to the partial product 8. However, the partial product 11 is not stapled.
- the overall product 28 thus consists of a stapled partial product 8 and a partial product 11, for example, a simple bow or an envelope or the like may be.
- a drive motor is attached to the first cutting machine 6 15, which is preferably a servomotor is.
- the drive motor 15 has a drive 17, the over a coupling 16 with the cutting machine 6 can be coupled.
- This coupling 16 is preferably an electromagnetic Clutch that can be operated by the control device.
- the transmission 17 is connected via a further transmission 18 with a Gear assembly 19 connected to the drive motor 15th with the other driven organs of the first saddle stitcher 8 is connected.
- These are in particular the first stapler 5, the investors 4 and the collecting chain 3.
- About one Superposition gear 20 or other suitable gear can at the same time the transfer element 2 from the first saddle stitcher A to be driven. Is the first cutting machine 6 disengaged, so the drive motor 15 is thus the main drive for the first stapler 5, the feeder 4 and the Saddle chain 3.
- the partial product 8 according to FIGS. 2 a and 2 b with the first stapling machine 5 be stapled.
- the partial products 8 are thus stapled and as explained above with the transfer element 2 the second Handing over saddle stitcher B.
- the drive motor 15 is at the first Stapling machine 5 arranged.
- the remaining features are here but continues to exist, and in particular is also at this Variant of the drive motor 15 with the cutting machine 6 connected via a coupling 16.
