Definitions

  • the invention relates to a positive connection between a piece of wire and a molded body molded from plastic, in particular for glasses, one end of the wire piece being anchored in the molded body via two sections of a holder arranged next to one another.
  • the parallel mounting pins also result in a twist-proof mounting of the wire piece relative to the fitting, which is advantageous fastening conditions.
  • a disadvantage of this fastening via parallel fastening pins is, above all, the increased construction effort associated with soldering or welding, the soldering or welding points being at risk of corrosion and increasing the risk of breakage if the wire piece compared to the shaped piece holding it, for example for adapting the nose pad Glasses to be bent.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to design a positive connection between a piece of wire and a molded plastic injection molded body of the type described so that a safe, well-resilient connection between the end of the wire piece and the molded plastic body can be ensured with little design effort can.
  • the invention achieves the object in that the wire piece has a hairpin-shaped end, the legs of which form the holder, and the hairpin-shaped end engages in a form-fitting manner in a plug-in receptacle of the shaped body which is adapted to the hairpin shape of the wire end and forms an undercut.
  • an axially secured holding of the end of the wire piece in the molded body made of plastic can be achieved if the molded body has a plug-in receptacle for the wire end that is adapted to the hairpin shape of the wire end, because the undercut engages with the portion of the hairpin-shaped wire end engaging behind the undercut Pulling out of the wire end from the plug-in receptacle prevented.
  • the elasticity of the plastic or of the hairpin-shaped bent wire end enables the wire end to be inserted in a simple manner into the undercut plug-in receptacle of the shaped body.
  • the legs of the hairpin-shaped end could converge against the adjoining section of the wire piece, so that the greatest width of the wire end results in the region of the curved web connecting the two legs of the hairpin-shaped end.
  • a plug receptacle adapted to such a wire end forms an undercut that can hardly be removed from the mold. It is therefore advantageous to use the gusset area resulting from the use of a round piece of wire between the two legs of the hairpin-shaped end for the axial anchoring of the piece of wire in the plug-in receptacle, in that the plug-in receptacle forms wall sections projecting into these twisted areas.
  • Another possibility of the tensile anchoring is to provide the leg of the hairpin-shaped end of the wire piece which is bent back against the other leg with a widening which is directed away from the other leg and is formed by a squeeze and which subjects the subsequent wall of the plug receptacle to a pressure load with the effect that the plastic in the area of the widening is displaced by a cold flow and in the wall of the plug-in receptacle a widening-receiving depression is created, which represents an undercut and ensures that the hairpin-shaped bent end of the wire piece is secured against being pulled out.
  • the broadening of one Legs of the hairpin-shaped end can also be used in connection with the wall sections of the plug-in receptacles projecting into the gusset area between the legs in order to ensure particularly advantageous anchoring conditions. Since the widening weakens the leg bent back against the further leg, this weakening has no effect on the load-bearing capacity of the connection between the wire piece and the molded body. The bending of the piece of wire held in the molded body stresses above all the leg directly passing into the piece of wire, while the other bent-back leg merely takes over rotation and pull-out protection.

  • Plug-in receptacles 8 are provided in the nose bridge 2, which have the outline shape of the hairpin-shaped end 5 of the wire pieces 4 correspond and take up the hairpin-shaped ends 5 of the wire pieces 4. As can be seen in FIG.
  • the plug receptacle 8 has projecting wall sections 9 against the gusset area between the two legs 6 and 7, which extend to the curved web of the hairpin-shaped end 5 connecting the two legs 6 and 7, so that these protrude Wall sections 9 are engaged by this web, which entails a tensile anchoring of the hairpin-shaped end 5 in the plug receptacle 8. Due to the elasticity of the plastic of the molding 1, the projecting wall sections 9 can be elastically deformed when the hairpin-shaped end 5 is inserted into the plug-in receptacle 8 until the web between the legs 6 and 7 engages in the undercut at the end of the wall sections 9. However, such an undercut does not have to be provided from the outset.
  • the bent-back leg 6 of the hairpin-shaped end 5 has a widening 10 which is produced by squeezing and which is directed away from the leg 7.
  • This widening 10 causes a pressure load on the wall of the plug receptacle 8, so that the plastic of the nose bridge 2 is permanently deformed in this area by cold flow and forms a depression 11 in which the widening 10 latches, as a result of which the hairpin-shaped end 5 of the wire piece 4 in the respective connector 8 is anchored tensile.
  • the recess 11 results in an undercut of the plug receptacle 8, which is widened behind by the widening 10.
  • the wire pieces 4 form curved eyelets 12 which, in undercut receptacles 13 of the nose pads 3, engage in a latching manner, as can be seen in FIG. 2. This results in simple connections both with regard to the nose pads 3 and with regard to the nose bridge 2, which meet the respective requirements for the load-bearing capacity.
