Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé de changement automatique des jeux de cylindres, constitués des cylindres de travail, des cylindres d'appui et des cylindres intermédiaires, d'un laminoir à feuillards équipé d'au moins une cage de laminoir, à l'aide d'un chariot de changement de cylindres qui se déplace perpendiculairement à la cage de laminoir (1), et d'une traverse de démontage permettant le démontage du jeu de cylindres d'appui (10, 13). Pour réduire le temps de remplacement (2) et automatiser le changement des cylindres, la traverse de démontage (3) est posée sur le chariot de changement de cylindres et pourvue de roues (4) qui permettent, dans les opérations selon l'invention, de retirer la traverse de démontage du chariot sur des rails de guidage (5) parallèles aux cylindres (10, 13) et de l'introduire dans la cage de laminoir sur les rails (8) de cylindres intermédiaires puis de l'extraire de la cage de laminoir en même temps que le jeu de cylindres d'appui.
