Claims (10)

  1. Procédé servant à modifier le jeu d'engrènement d'un outil, (6, 7) disposé radialement à l'extérieur sur au moins un cylindre (4 ; 5) associé en rotation, dans une bande de matériau (1) qui avance en ligne droite à une vitesse constante, suivant le type d'une commande de disques à cames pendant la durée d'engrènement de l'outil (6, 7) dans la bande de matériau (1), la vitesse périphérique de l'outil (6, 7) est synchronisée avec la vitesse de la bande de matériau (1) tandis que, pendant la durée restante, le jeu d'engrènement souhaité est déterminé par une vitesse périphérique du cylindre (4, 5) supérieure ou inférieure,
    caractérisé en ce que
    - pour commuter le jeu d'engrènement de l'outil (6, 7) dans la bande de matériau (1), plusieurs états d'engrènement différents disponibles sont d'abord prédéfinis de façon électronique à l'aide de différentes vitesses périphériques correspondantes de l'outil (6, 7),
    - et après l'activation d'un commutateur (13), le changement dans un autre jeu d'engrènement prédéfini est alors réalisé de façon précise pendant le fonctionnement dès que l'outil (6, 7) se trouve en engrènement, de manière à obtenir le nouveau jeu d'engrènement avec l'engrènement suivant de l'outil (6, 7) dans la bande de matériau (1).
  2. Procédé selon la revendication 1,
    caractérisé en ce que
    le jeu d'engrènement est déterminé par la vitesse périphérique de l'outil (6, 7) de manière à obtenir comme mouvement de base pour déterminer le jeu d'engrènement, une composante de mouvement uniforme superposée à une composante de mouvement de compensation entraînant une accélération ou un freinage, pour arriver à s'adapter à la vitesse périphérique synchrone avec la bande de matériau pendant l'engrènement de l'outil (6, 7).
  3. Procédé selon la revendication 2,
    caractérisé en ce que
    pour obtenir un jeu d'engrènement plus petit de l'outil (6, 7), on réalise une composante de mouvement uniforme plus rapide du cylindre (4, 5) par rapport à la vitesse de la bande de matériau (1) tandis que, pour obtenir un jeu d'engrènement plus grand de l'outil (6, 7), on réalise une composante de mouvement uniforme relativement plus lente du cylindre (4, 5).
  4. Dispositif servant à modifier le jeu d'engrènement d'un outil (6, 7) disposé radialement à l'extérieur sur au moins un cylindre (4 ; 5) associé en rotation, dans une bande de matériau (1) qui avance en ligne droite à une vitesse constante, comprenant une unité de commande électronique (10) qui, suivant le type d'une commande de disques à cames pendant la durée d'engrènement de l'outil (6, 7) dans la bande de matériau (1), synchronise la vitesse périphérique de l'outil (6, 7) avec la vitesse de la bande de matériau (1), le jeu d'engrènement souhaité étant déterminé en réglant une vitesse périphérique supérieure ou inférieure du cylindre (4, 5) pendant la durée restante,
    caractérisé en ce que
    - l'unité de commande électronique (10) met à disposition différentes vitesses périphériques disponibles représentant des états d'engrènement souhaités,
    - et, selon la mesure de l'unité de commande (10), après l'activation d'un commutateur (13), le changement dans un autre jeu d'engrènement prédéfini est alors réalisé de façon précise dès que l'outil (6, 7) se trouve en engrènement pour obtenir le nouveau jeu d'engrènement avec l'engrènement suivant de l'outil (6, 7).
  5. Dispositif selon la revendication 4,
    caractérisé en ce qu'
    on prévoit pour mesurer la vitesse de la bande de matériau (1) un capteur (9) raccordé, côté entrée, à l'unité de commande (10) qui calcule à cet effet les valeurs de consigne nécessaires au principe de commande des axes de coordonnées réelles.
  6. Dispositif selon la revendication 4,
    caractérisé en ce que
    les données de vitesse calculées de manière électronique pour la vitesse de la bande de matériau (1) sont amenées, côté entrée, à l'unité de commande (10) qui calcule à cet effet les valeurs de consignes nécessaires au principe de commande des axes de coordonnées virtuelles.
  7. Dispositif selon la revendication 5 ou 6,
    caractérisé en ce que
    l'unité de commande (10) met à disposition les valeurs de consigne obtenues pour les axes coordonnées d'une unité de réglage d'entraînement (11, 12) associée à chaque cylindre (4, 5), ce qui permet d'actionner le cylindre associé (4, 5) par un réglage de position.
  8. Dispositif selon la revendication 4,
    caractérisé en ce qu'
    on prévoit une unité de calcul (14) en liaison avec l'unité de commande (10) pour déterminer de manière électronique différentes vitesses périphériques correspondantes de l'outil (6, 7) suivant le type de disques à cames à partir de différents états d'engrènement souhaités de l'outil (6, 7).
  9. Dispositif selon la revendication 8,
    caractérisé en ce que
    les données obtenues par l'unité de calcul (14) sont enregistrées directement dans l'unité de réglage d'entraînement (11, 12) associée à chaque cylindre (4, 5), conjointement avec les données d'une transmission d'axes de coordonnées virtuelles obtenues par l'unité de commande (10).
  10. Dispositif selon la revendication 4,
    caractérisé en ce que
    l'unité de commande (10) dispose d'une entrée binaire servant de commutateur (13), qui permet d'effectuer simultanément la commutation entre plusieurs données suivant le type de disques à cames déposées dans l'unité de réglage d'entraînement (11, 12) avec les données associées de la transmission d'axes de coordonnées.
