Definitions

  • the invention relates to an additional handle for releasably fixing to a hand-held tool, in particular a drill or chisel hammer.
  • the US 4,060,940 shows a power cutter having a rear handle and a bow-shaped handle.
  • the bow-shaped handle is fixed both to the housing of the cutting grinder and to the protective cover and secures the position of the guard relative to the housing of the cutting grinder.
  • the auxiliary handle has a rod-shaped base body to which a grip sleeve is attached via elastic means.
  • the grip sleeve extends concentrically to the rod-shaped body.
  • the rod-shaped design of the auxiliary handle requires an unfavorable for some applications hand gesture of the operator. In addition, the achievable damping effect is often insufficient.
  • the auxiliary handle comprises a fastening area for fixing to the tool and a grip area which forms a largely closed frame with the fastening area.
  • the attachment area and the grip area each have a largely dimensionally stable base body.
  • the DE 101 06 050 A1 describes a hand tool with an additional handle.
  • the auxiliary handle is spade-shaped and provided with a locking ring which is arranged at a corner of the spade-shaped auxiliary handle.
  • the spade-shaped section forms the grip area and the locking ring forms the attachment area. Locking area and fixing area are made in one piece.
  • a handle that is intended to isolate harmful vibrations.
  • a rigid connecting part which is screwed by means of an end portion in a housing of a vibration generating machine, provided at a further end portion with an elastic body which is inserted into a tubular handle.
  • the invention has for its object to provide an additional handle for releasable fixation on a hand-held tool that allows a comfortable working posture of the operator and has a good damping behavior for vibrations.
  • the auxiliary handle has a mounting portion which is connected to a grip portion via a vibration-damping, elastic material.
  • the fastening area and the grip area form a closed frame.
  • the additional handle is thus designed as a bow handle. This training as a bow handle with a largely closed frame allows a comfortable working posture of the operator, since the tool can be guided laterally, without a twisting of the hand of the operator is necessary. At the same time a good vibration damping can be achieved through the closed frame of the auxiliary handle.
  • the elastic material forms the surface of the auxiliary handle at least in the region of the connection.
  • the arrangement of the elastic material also on the surface a large damping cross section can be achieved. This is particularly enlarged with respect to handles in which vibration damping elements are arranged inside the handle.
  • the elastic material is in particular a thermoplastic elastomer.
  • the two gripping areas can be encapsulated together with the elastic material. So the bow handle can be made in a few steps.
  • the elastic material in the grip area causes the gripping of the auxiliary handle to be perceived as pleasant by the operator.
  • the attachment region is formed substantially cylindrical.
  • the grip region has a substantially cylindrical grip section, which is connected to the attachment region via two limbs formed on its ends.
  • This shape of the frame-shaped auxiliary handle allows a good guidance of the tool with low transmitted vibrations.
  • the legs extend approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the attachment area.
  • the mobility of the grip area relative to the attachment area is limited by at least one stop.
  • the stop is advantageously formed by a finger connected to the main body, which is arranged in a recess, wherein the recess is bounded by the other base body. This ensures a secure limitation of mobility. At the same time, such a trained stop can be well integrated into the auxiliary handle.
  • the finger has a distance from the recess over its entire circumference. Improved damping characteristics are achieved when the distance is about 1 mm to 10 mm, in particular 3 mm to 6 mm.
  • a stop is formed on each leg of the grip area.
  • the attachment area can be fixed on the tool via a tension band.
  • the strap is suitably arranged in a holder which is held between two sections of the mounting area.
  • the attachment region expediently has teeth which protrude into corresponding recesses on the holder of the tension band.
  • the protruding teeth in recesses allow when arranged on the entire circumference, that the angle formed between the handle portion of the auxiliary handle and the tool is variable.
  • the holder is advantageously formed of two jaws, which are penetrated by a clamping screw, wherein the jaws on the opposite side of the clamping band of the clamping screw abut each other.
  • the clamping screw penetrates expediently the cylindrical mounting area. So the strap can be stretched easily.
  • the in Fig. 1 Additional handle 1 shown in perspective has a fastening region 2.
  • a grip region 3 is formed on the fastening region 2.
  • the handle portion 3 is formed bow-shaped in the embodiment and forms with the mounting portion 2 a particular closed frame.
  • the grip area 3 has a grip portion 6, which is approximately cylindrical and extends parallel to the cylindrical attachment area 2.
  • each leg 7 and 8 are integrally formed, via which the handle portion 6 is connected to the mounting portion 2.
  • the first leg 7 has a recess 12 into which a finger 10 protrudes.
  • the second leg 8 has a recess 13 in which a finger 11 is arranged.
  • the arranged in the recesses 12 and 13 fingers 10 and 11 form stops for the mobility of the mounting portion 2 relative to the handle portion 3.
  • the mounting portion 2 has in the region of the connection to the first leg 7 a thickening 39 and in the region of the connection to the second leg a thickening 40 on.
  • the fastening region 2 is designed to be split and has a first section 16 which is connected to the first leg 7 and a second section 17 connected to the second leg 8.
  • a holder 18 for a tensioning strap 14 is arranged between the sections 16 and 17.
  • the holder 18 has a toothing, which is arranged in a corresponding toothing on the sections 16 and 17.
  • teeth 21 arranged in the first section 16 protrude into recesses 23 of the holder 18 and teeth 22 formed in the second section 17 in recesses 24 of the holder 18.
  • the teeth are formed concentrically and thus permit a change in the position of the clamping band 14 to the fastening region 2 Extension of the attachment area 2, a toggle nut 26 is arranged on the second leg 8.
  • the leg 7 and also the leg 8 is arcuate.
  • the attachment area 2 is as in Fig. 3 shown divided formed. Between the first portion 16 and the second portion 17, the holder 18 of the clamping band 14 is arranged.
  • the holder 18 has a first jaw 19 and a second jaw 20.
  • the mounting portion 2 is penetrated by a clamping screw 25, the head 43 is arranged in a hex recess 41.
  • the hexagonal recess 41 is arranged in the region of the first leg 7 in the attachment region 2.
  • the clamping screw 25 extends through the first portion 16, the jaws 19 and 20 of the holder 18 and the second portion 17 of the mounting portion 2.
  • the toggle nut 26 is arranged on the second leg 8, in particular on the side facing away from the first leg 7 of the second leg 8, the toggle nut 26 is arranged.
  • the toggle nut 26 has an internal thread 42, in which the clamping screw 25 is screwed.
  • the internal thread 42 is advantageously formed in a arranged in the toggle nut 26 metallic sleeve.
  • the attachment region 2 has a largely dimensionally stable base body 4.
  • the base body 4 is connected to the base body 5 of the grip region 3 via an elastic material 34.
  • the elastic material 34 is in particular a thermoplastic elastomer.
  • a finger 10 is arranged, which is formed on the base body 4 of the attachment region 2.
  • the finger 10 is arranged in a recess 12.
  • a finger 11 is formed on the attachment portion 2 in the region of the second leg 8, which is arranged in a recess 13 in the main body 5 of the handle portion 3.
  • connection 36 between the basic bodies 4 and 5 on the second leg 8 is shown in section.
  • the finger 11 is integrally formed on the base body 4 and has the base body 4 at a distance a and a distance c in the circumferential direction of the clamping screw 25.
  • the base body 4 and 5 are connected in the region of the connection 36 only via the elastic material 34.
  • a thickening 40 of the elastic material 34 is formed, which ensures good damping between the fastening region 2 and the grip region 3.
