Abstract
Verfahren zur Carbonylierung von n-Pentensäure oder deren Derivate der Formel (I) C4H7 - R1 wobei R1: -CN oder COOR?2 mit R2¿: Wasserstoff, Alkyl oder Aryl durch Umsetzung einer Verbindung der Formel (I) mit Kohlenmonoxid und einer eine Hydroxylgruppe enthaltenden Verbindung (II) in Gegenwart eines Katalysatorsystems, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Katalysatorsystem erhältlich ist durch Umsetzung von a) einer Quelle für ein Metall-Ion eines Metalls (III) der 8. Nebengruppe des Periodensystems der Elemente mit b) einem Bidentaten-Phosphin-Liganden der Formel (IV) (RR?3R4R5C) (R6R7R8C)P - L1¿ - X - L?2 - P(CR9R10R11)(CR12R13R14¿) (IV) wobei R?3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, R12, R13, R14¿ unabhängig voneinander ein organischer Rest ist, der jeweils ein Kohlenstoffatom enthält, über den der jeweilige Rest mit dem betreffenden in Formel (IV) genannten tertiären Kohlenstoffatom verknüpft ist; L1, L2 unabhängig voneinander eine niedere Alkylengruppe darstellen; X eine Arylengruppe darstellt.

Verfahren zur Carbonylierung von Pentensäure und deren Derivate
Beschreibung
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Carbonylierung von n-Pentensäure oder deren Derivate der Formel (I)
C4H7 - Ri (I)
wobei R1: -CN oder COOR2 mit R2 : Wasserstoff, Alkyl oder Aryl
durch Umsetzung einer Verbindung der Formel (I) mit Kohlenmonoxid und einer eine Hydroxylgruppe enthaltenden Verbindung (II) in Gegenwart eines Katalysatorsystems, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Katalysatorsystem erhältlich ist durch Umsetzung von a) einer Quelle für ein Metall-Ion eines Metalls (III) der 8. Nebengruppe des Periodensystems der Elemente mit b) einem Bidentat-Phosphin- iganden der Formel ( IV)
(R3R4R5C ) (R6R7R8C ) P - L1 - X - 2 - P (CR9Rl°RH ) (CR1 R13Rl4 ) ( IV)
wobei
R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, R12 , R" , R14 unabhängig voneinander ein organischer Rest ist, der jeweils ein Kohlenstoffa- tom enthält, über den der jeweilige Rest mit dem betreffenden in Formel (IV) genannten tertiären Kohlenstoffatom verknüpft ist; L1, L2 unabhängig voneinander eine niedere Alkylengruppe darstellen; X eine Arylengruppe darstellt.
Verfahren zur Carbonylierung von n-Pentensäure oder deren Derivate der Formel (I) ist bekannt, beispielsweise aus GB-1497046, DE-A-2541640, US 4508660, EP-A-373579, US 4933483, EP-A-450577, US 4257973, WO 2000/14055, EP-A-577204, WO 2000/56695, EP- A-662467 oder WO 2000/42717.
Bei den genannten Verfahren werden geradkettige und verzweigte Produkte erhalten.
Die geradkettigen Produkte der Carbonylierung von Verbindungen der Formel (I) , also Adipinsäure oder deren Derivate, finden in großem Umfang Anwendung bei der Herstellung technisch bedeutender Polymere, insbesondere Polyamide, während die verzweigten Pro-

dukte keine oder nur eine mengenmäßig untergeordnete Bedeutung aufweisen.
Wünschenswert ist daher ein hohes n/i-Verhältnis bei gleichzeitig hoher Ausbeute. Unter dem n/i-Verhältnis wird das Verhältnis der Selektivität von geradkettigen Produkten zu der Selektivität der verzweigten Produkte verstanden. Die in diesem Zusammenhang im Stand der Technik genannte inearität bezeichnet die Selektivität der geradkettigen Produkte. Das n/i-Verhältnis errechnet sich aus der Linearität gemäß der Gleichung
n/i-Verhältnis = Linearität [%] / (100 % - Linearität [%] )
Unbefriedigend bei den genannten Verfahren ist das n/i-Verhältnis bei gleichzeitig hoher Ausbeute.
So wird gemäß US 4933483, Beispiel 6, ein n/i-Verhältnis von 24 (Linearität 96 %) bei einer Ausbeute von nur 70 % erreicht.
WO 98/42717 offenbart in Beispiel 7 eine Ausbeute von 84 % (Umsatz 100 %, Selektivität 84 %) ; allerdings beträgt das n/i-Verhältnis nur 5,25 (84 % lineares Produkt, Rest 16 % verzweigtes Produkt) .
Der vorliegenden Erfindung lag die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein Verfahren zur Carbonylierung von n-Pentensäure oder deren Derivate der Formel (I) zur Verfügung zu stellen, das die genannten Nachteile auf technisch einfache und wirtschaftliche Weise vermeidet.
Demgemäß wurde das eingangs definierte Verfahren gefunden.
Erfindungsgemäß setzt man n-Pentensäure oder deren Derivate der Formel (I)
C4H7 - Ri (I)
ein, wobei im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung hierunter auch Gemische solcher Verbindungen verstanden werden.
Als Rest R1 kommt -CN oder COOR2 in Betracht, wobei R2 Wasserstoff, Alkyl, oder Aryl, vorteilhaft Wasserstoff oder Alkyl, vorzugsweise Wasserstoff, Methyl, Ethyl, n-Propyl, i-Propyl, n-Bu- tyl, i-Butyl, s-Butyl, t-Butyl, insbesondere Wasserstoff, Methyl, Ethyl, besonders bevorzugt Wasserstoff oder Methyl sein kann.
Falls R2 eine Alkyl- oder Aryl-Gruppe ist, kann diese Substituen- ten, wie funktionelle Gruppen oder weitere Alkyl- oder Arylgrup- pen tragen. Vorzugsweise trägt R2 im Falle einer Alkyl- oder Aryl- Gruppe keine Substituenten.
Als n-Pentensäure oder deren Derivate der Formel (I) kommen grundsätzlich alle Isomeren, wie cis-2-, trans-2-, cis-3-, trans-3- und 4-Isomer, sowie deren Gemische in Betracht. Solche Gemische können den gleichen oder unterschiedliche Reste R1 auf- weisen. Bevorzugt sind solche Gemische, die den gleichen Rest R1 aufweisen.
Vorteilhaft kommt der Einsatz von cis-2-, trans-2-, cis-3-, trans-3- oder 4-Pentennitril sowie deren Gemische in Betracht. Bevorzugt sind dabei solche Gemische, die mindestens 80 Gew.-% 3-Pentennitril, also die Summe aus cis-3-Pentennitril und trans-3-Pentennitril, enthalten.
In einer weiteren vorteilhaften Ausführungsform kommt der Einsatz von cis-2-, trans-2-, cis-3-, trans-3- oder 4-Pentensäure sowie deren Gemische in Betracht. Bevorzugt sind dabei solche Gemische, die mindestens 80 Gew.-% 3-Pentensäure, also die Summe aus cis-3-Pentensäure und trans-3-Pentensäure, enthalten.
In einer weiteren vorteilhaften Ausführungsform kommt der Einsatz von cis-2-, trans-2-, cis-3-, trans-3- oder 4-Pentensäuremethyl- ester sowie deren Gemische in Betracht. Bevorzugt sind dabei solche Gemische, die mindestens 80 Gew.-% 3-Pentensäuremethylester, also die Summe aus cis-3-Pentensäuremethylester und trans-3-Pen- tensäuremethylester, enthalten.
Pentensäure und deren Derivate gemäß Formel (I) können nach an sich bekannten Verfahren, beispielsweise durch Addition von Kohlenmonoxid und einer eine Hydroxylgruppe enthaltenden Verbindung oder von Cyanwasserstoff an Butadien in Gegenwart eines Katalysators, erhalten werden.
Erfindungsgemäß setzt man Verbindung der Formel (I) mit Kohlenmonoxid um. Dabei kann Kohlenmonoxid als reine Verbindung oder in Gegenwart von Gasen, die das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren im wesentlichen nicht nachteilig beeinflussen, insbesondere sich inert verhalten, eingesetzt werden. Als solche Inerte kommen beispielsweise Stickstoff, Wasserstoff, Kohlendioxid, Methan und die Edelgase, wie Argon, in Betracht.
Vorteilhaft kann das molare Verhältnis von Verbindung (I) zu Kohlenmonoxid mindestens 1:1, vorzugsweise mindestens 3:1, insbesondere mindestens 5:1 betragen, vorzugsweise im Bereich von 5:1 bis 50:1, besonders bevorzugt im Bereich von 7:1 bis 15:1 liegen. Führt man das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren bei molaren Verhältnissen von Verbindung (I) zu Kohlenmonoxid kleiner als 5:1, insbesondere kleiner als 3:1, speziell kleiner 1:1 durch, so kann dies zu einer raschen Verschlechterung der Eigenschaften des Katalysatorsystems führen.
Erfindungsgemäß setzt man Verbindung der Formel (I) mit einer eine Hydroxyl-Gruppe enthaltenden Verbindung (II) um. Im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung werden unter Verbindung (II) einzelne Verbindungen (II) wie auch Gemische verschiedener solcher Verbin- düngen verstanden.
Die Art von Verbindung (II) bestimmt mindestens teilweise das Endprodukt des vorliegenden Verfahrens. Setzt man Wasser als Verbindung (II) ein, so erhält man die entsprechende Säure, während bei Einsatz eines Alkohols, wie eines Alkanols, der entsprechende Ester erhalten wird. Als Alkohol kommen primäre, sekundäre oder tertiäre, vorzugsweise primäre, Alkohole in Betracht, vorteilhaft Cι-C o-Alkanole, die gegebenenfalls Substituenten tragen können, wie eine oder mehrere Halogen-, Nitril-, Carbonyl-, Alkoxy- oder Aryl-Gruppen. Vorteilhaft kommen als Alkanol Methanol, Ethanol, n-Propanol, i-Propanol, n-Butanol, i-Butanol, s-Butanol, t-Buta- nol, n-Hexanol, n-Octanol, i-Octanol, 2-Ethylhexanol, Cyclohexa- nol, Benzylalkohol, Phenylethylalkohol, Ethylenglykol, 1,2-Pro- pandiol, 1, 3-Propandiol, Neopentylglykol, Trimethylolpropan, Pen- taerythriol, bevorzugt Methanol, Ethanol, n-Propanol, i-Propanol, n-Butanol, i-Butanol, s-Butanol, t-Butanol, besonders bevorzugt Methanol oder Ethanol, insbesondere Methanol in Betracht.
Das molare Verhältnis von Verbindung (I) zu Verbindung (II) ist an sich nicht kritisch und kann in einem weiten Bereich liegen, vorteilhaft im Bereich von 0,001:1 bis 100:1 mol/mol.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren führt man durch in Gegenwart eines Katalysatorsystems, das erhältlich ist durch Umsetzung von einer Quelle für ein Metall-Ion eines Metalls (III) mit einem Bidentat- Phosphin-Liganden der Formel (IV) .
Als Metall (III) kommt ein Metall der 8. Nebengruppe des Periodensystems, wie Eisen, Cobalt, Nickel, Ruthenium, Rhodium, Palla- dium, Osmium, Iridium, Platin, vorzugsweise Palladium, Platin,
Rhodium, Iridium, insbesondere Palladium, in Betracht, sowie deren Gemische.
Als Quelle für ein Metall-Ion eines solchen Metalls kann man vor- teilhaft Salze solcher Metalle mit, oder Verbindungen, in denen ein solches Metall schwach koordinativ mit ein Anion verbunden ist, die sich ableiten von Mineralsäuren, wie Salpetersäure, Schwefelsäure, Phosphorsäure, Carbonsäuren, vorteilhaft cι-ci2~Carbonsäure, vorzugsweise Essigsäure, Propionsäure, Butter- säure, Sulfonsäure, wie Methansulfonsäure, Chlorsulfonsäure, Fluorsulfonsäure, Trifluormethansulfonsäure, Benzolsulfonsäure, Naphthalinsulfonsäure, Toluolsulfonsäure, insbesondere p-Toluol- sulfonsäure, t-Butylsulfonsäure, 2-Hydroxypropansulfonsäure, sul - fonierte Ionentauscher, Halogenpersäuren, wie Perchlorsäure, Per- fluorierte Carbonsäuren, wie Trifluoressigsäure, Nonafluorbutan- sulfonsäure, Trichloressigsäure, Phosphonsäuren, wie Benzol - phosphonsäure, Säuren, die sich ableiten aus der Wechselwirkung von Lewis-Säuren mit Broensted-Säuren, Anionen, wie Tetraphenyl- borat und Derivate hiervon, oder deren Gemische einsetzen.
Ebenso können Verbindungen vorteilhaft eingesetzt werden, in denen ein solches Metall nullwertig mit leicht abtrennbaren Liganden vorliegt, wie beispielweise Tris (dibenzylidenaceton) alladium, Tetrakis (triphenylphosphan) palladium, Bis (tri-o-tolyl- phosphan) palladium.
Das molare Verhältnis von Metall (III) zu Verbindung (I) ist an sich nicht kritisch. Als vorteilhaft hat sich ein molares Verhältnis von Metall (III) zu Verbindung (I) im Bereich von 10-7:1 bis 10_1:1, vorzugsweise 10"6:1 bis 10"2:1 erwiesen.
Erfindungsgemäß setzt man als Verbindung (IV) einen Bidentaten- Phosphin-Liganden ein der Formel
(R3R4R5C) (R6R7R8C)P - L1 - X - L2 - P (CR9R10R13-) (CRl2R13R14) (IV)
wobei
R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, R12, R3, Ri* unabhängig voneinander ein organischer Rest ist, der jeweils ein Kohlenstoff - atom enthält, über den der jeweilige Rest mit dem betreffenden in Formel (IV) genannten tertiären Kohlenstoffatom verknüpft ist; L1, L2 unabhängig voneinander eine niedere Alkylengruppe darstellen; X eine Arylengruppe darstellt.
Die Reste R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9 , R10, R11, R12, R13, R14 können unabhängig voneinander in einem weiten Bereich von organischen Gruppen gewählt werden. Als organische Gruppen bevorzugt sind niedere Alkylgruppen, vorzugsweise lineare oder verzweigte Cι-C-Alkylgruppen, wie Methyl, Ethyl, n-Propyl, i-Propyl, n-Bu- tyl, i-Butyl, s-Butyl, t-Butyl.
Besonders bevorzugt sind solche Gruppen R3 , R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, R12, R13, R14 , die zusammen mit dem tertiären Kohlenstof - fatom, mit dem sie direkt verknüpft sind, eine Gruppe bilden, die jeweils mindestens einen sterischen Raumbedarf aufweist wie t-Bu- tyl . Im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung wird unter dem sterischen Raumbedarf der in: Homogeneous Transition Metal Catalysis - A Gentle Art", von C Masters, veröffentlicht von Chapman and Hall, 1981, Seite 14 folgende diskutierte Begriff der "steric hindrance" verstanden.
Die Gruppen L1 und L2 können unabhängig voneinander eine niedere Alkylengruppe, vorzugsweise Cι-C4-Alkylengruppe, wie Methylen-, Ethylen-, n-Propylen-, n-Butylen-Gruppe, darstellen, die substituiert oder unsubstituiert sein kann. Besonders bevorzugt sind L1 und L2 jeweils eine Methylengruppe.
Als X kommt eine Arylengruppe in Betracht, beispielsweise eine Phenylengruppe, die substituiert oder unsubstituiert sein kann. Besonders bevorzugt sind dabei solche Arylengruppen, in denen L1 und L2 mit X über benachbarte Kohlenstoffatome verknüpft sind. Im Falle einer Substitution an X kommen als Substituenten Alkyl- Gruppen, insbesondere Cl-C4-Alkyl-gruppen, wie Methyl, Ethyl, n-Propyl, i-Propyl, n-Butyl, i-Butyl, s-Butyl, t-Butyl, Alkoxy-, Carbalkoxy-, Halogen-, Nitro, Trihalomethyl- oder Cyano-Gruppen in Betracht. Weiterhin kann X Bestandteil eines gesättigten oder ungesättigten polyzyklischen Systems, wie Naphthalin, Tetralin, Biphenylen, Inden sein.
Vorteilhaft können als Verbindung (IV) Bis (di-t-butyl-phosp- hino) -o-xylol ("1, 2-Bis (di-t-phosphino)benzol") , Bis (di-t-neopen- tyl-phosphino) -o-xylol und 1, 2-Bis (Di-t-phosphino) naphthalin eingesetzt werden.
Weiterhin kommen als Verbindung (IV) solche Bidentat-phosphine in Betracht, die an Polymere, vorzugsweise über die Gruppe X, L1 oder L2 gebunden sind. So kann beispielsweise Bis (di-t-butyl-phosp- hino) -o-xylol über die o-Xylol-Gruppe an Polystyrol gebunden sein. In einem solchen Fall erhält man ein heterogenes Katalysatorsystem.
Das molare Verhältnis von Ligand (IV) zu Metall (III) kann in ei¬ nem weiten Bereich gewählt werden. Vorteilhaft kommt ein Verhältnis im Bereich von 0,5 bis 50, vorzugsweise 0,5 bis 20 besonders bevorzugt 0,5 bis 10, insbesondere 1 bis 5 mol/mol in Betracht.
In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform ist das Katalysatorsystem erhältlich in Gegenwart einer Anionenquelle (V) .
Als Anionenquelle können Verbindungen eingesetzt werden, die das Anion bereits enthalten, wie Salze, oder Verbindungen, die durch chemische Reaktion, wie heterolytische Bindungsspaltung, ein Anion freisetzen können, eingesetzt werden.
Geeignete Anionenquellen sind beispielsweise aus EP-A-495 547 be- kannt.
Als Anionenquelle (V) kann man vorteilhaft Verbindungen einsetzen, die in der Lage sind, unter Abspaltung eines H+-Ions ein Anion zur Verfügung zu stellen, wie Salpetersäure, Schwefelsäure, Phosphorsäure, Carbonsäuren, vorteilhaft Cι-C2o-Carbonsäure, vorzugsweise Essigsäure, Propionsäure, 2 , 4, 6-Trimethylbenzoesäure, 2, 6-Dichlorbenzoesäure, 9-Anthracencarbonsäure, Pivalinsäure, 1,2, 3-Benzoltricarbonsäure, 1,2, 3-Benzoltricarbonsäure-1, 3-Di- ester, 2-Ethoxy-l-naphthalincarbonsäure, 2 , 6-Dimethoxybenzoe- säure, 5-Cyanvaleriansäure, Sulfonsäure, wie Methansulfonsäure, Chlorsulfonsäure, Fluorsulfonsäure, Trifluormethansulfonsäure, Benzolsulfonsäure, Naphthalinsulfonsäure, Toluolsulfonsäure, insbesondere p-Toluolsulfonsäure, t-Butylsulfonsäure, 2-Hydroxypro- pansulfonsäure, sulfonierte Ionentauscher, Halogenpersäuren, wie Perchlorsäure, Perfluorierte Carbonsäuren, wie Trifluoressigsäure, Nonafluorbutansulfonsäure, Trichloressigsäure, Phosphon- säuren, wie Benzolphosphonsäure, Säuren, die sich ableiten aus der Reaktion von Lewis-Säuren, wie BF3, PF5, ASF5, SbFs, T Fs oder NbFs, mit einer Broensted Säure, wie HF (beispielsweise Fluorosi- likatsäure, HBF4, HPF6, HSbF6, Tetraphenylborsäure und Derivate hiervon) oder deren Gemische.
Unter den Verbindungen (V) , die in der Lage ist, unter Abspaltung eines H+-Ions ein Anion zur Verfügung zu stellen, sind diejenigen bevorzugt, die einen pKa-Wert von höchstens 3,5, insbesondere höchstens 2 aufweisen.
Das molare Verhältnis von Verbindung (V) zu Metall (III) ist an sich nicht kritisch. Vorteilhaft kann das molare Verhältnis von Verbindung (V) zu Metall (III) im Bereich von 0,5 bis 100, vorzugsweise 1 bis 20 mol/mol liegen.
Das Katalysatorsystem kann vor dem Einsatz in dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren oder in dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren selbst hergestellt werden.
Stellt man das Katalysatorsystem in dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren selbst her, so hat sich der Einsatz von solchen Verbindungen von Metall (III) als vorteilhaft erwiesen, die in dem Reaktionsgemisch soweit löslich sind, daß sie mit den anderen Komponenten ein aktives Katalysatorsystem bilden können.
Das im erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren eingesetzte Katalysatorsystem kann in homogener oder heterogener, vorzugsweise homogener Phase eingesetzt werden.
Das Katalysatorsystem kann vorteilhaft in flüssiger Phase erhalten werden. Die flüssige Phase kann dabei durch eine oder mehrere der Komponenten, aus denen das Katalysatorsystem erhältlich ist oder erhalten wurde, gebildet werden. Ebenso ist es möglich, die flüssige Phase durch ein anorganisches oder organisches, Vorzugs - weise organisches flüssiges Verdünnungsmittel bereitzustellen.
Als flüssiges Verdünnungsmittel kommen vorteilhaft aprotische flüssige Verdünnungsmittel in Betracht, wie Ether, beispielsweise Diethylether, Dimethylether, Dimethylether von Ethylenglykol, Di- metyhlether von Diethylenglykol, Tetrahydrofuran, Polyether, funktionalisierte Polyether, Anisol, 2, 5, 8-Trioxanonan, Diisopro- pylether, Diphenylether, wie Aromaten, einschließlich halogenier- ter Aromaten, beispielsweise Benzol, Toluol, o-Xylol, m-Xylol, p- Xylol, Chlorbenzol, o-Dichlorbenzol, m-Dichlorbenzol, p-Dichlor- benzol, wie Alkane, einschließlich halogenierter Alkane, beispielsweise Hexan, Heptan, 2, 2 , 3-Trimethylpentan, Methylen- dichlorid, Tetrachlormethan, wie Nitrile, beispielsweise Benzoni- tril, Acetonitril, wie Ester, beispielsweise Methylbenzoat, Me- thylacetat, Dimethylphthalat, Butyrolacton, wie Sulfone, bei- spielsweise Diethylsulfon, Diisopropylsulfon, Tetrahydrothio- phen-1, 1-dioxid ("Sulfolan" ) , 2-Methyl-sulfolan, 3-Methyl-sulfo- lan, 2-Methyl-4-butyl-sulfolan, wie Sulfoxide, beispielsweise Di- methylsulfoxid, wie Amide, einschließlich halogenierter Amide, beispielsweise Dimethylformamid, Dimethylacetamid, N-Methylpyrro- lidon, wie Ketone, beispielsweise Aceton, Methylethylketon, Methyl-isobutyl-keton, sowie deren Gemische.
Besonders bevorzugt sind solche flüssigen Verdünnungsmi tel, deren Siedepunkt höher ist als der Siedepunkt des nach dem erfin- dungsgemäßen Verfahren erhaltenen jeweiligen Produkts. Hierdurch
kann die Abtrennung des Produkts von der restlichen Reaktionsmischung, beispielsweise durch Destillation, erleichtert werden.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren kann vorteilhaft bei einer Tempe- ratur im Bereich von 20 bis 250°C, vorzugsweise 40 bis 200°C, besonders bevorzugt 70 bis 170°C, insbesondere 80 bis 140°C, durchgeführt werden.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren kann vorteilhaft bei einem Gesamt - druck von 1*105 bis 200*105 Pa, vorzugsweise 5*105 bis 70*105 Pa, insbesondere 6*105 bis 20*105 Pa, durchgeführt werden.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren kann kontinuierlich, diskontinuierlich oder semi-kontinuierlich durchgeführt werden.
Das Verfahrensprodukt kann von den anderen Komponenten nach an sich bekannten Verfahren, wie Extraktion oder Destillation, abgetrennt werden.
Durch das hohe n/i-Verhältnis des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ist der nachfolgende Reinigungsaufwand deutlich reduziert, da weniger unerwünschte Nebenprodukte erhalten werden.
Ein weiterer Vorteil der erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens besteht darin, daß die restlichen Komponenten, die das Katalysatorsystem enthalten, in das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren zurückgeführt werden können. Dabei kann gewünschtenfalls neuer Katalysator zugesetzt werden.
Beispiele
Beispiel 1
In einen 400 ml-Glasautoklaven mit Begasungsrührer wurden 70 mg (0,31 mmol) Palladiumacetat, 244 mg (0,62 mmol) Bis(di-t-bu- tyl.phosphino) -o-xylol ("Ligandl"), 590 mg (3,1 mmol) p-Toluol - sulfonsäure, 80 ml (830 mmol) 3-Pentennitril ("3-PN") und 34 ml Methanol gefüllt, nach dem Verschließen Kohlenmonoxid bis auf einen Druck von 4*105 Pa aufgepreßt und der Autoklav auf 90°C er- hitzt. Dabei wurde der Gesamtdruck auf 7*105 Pa eingestellt. Nach der Reaktionszeit gemäß Tabelle 1 wurde der Autoklav abgekühlt und das Reaktionsgemisch gaschromatographisch analysiert. Das Ergebnis ist aus Tabelle 1 ersichtlich.
Beispiel 2
Es wurde wie in Beispiel 1 verfahren mit dem Unterschied, daß an¬ stelle- von 3-Pentennitril 102 ml (840 mmol) 3-Pentensäuremethyl- ester ("3-PSE") eingesetzt wurde.
Das Ergebnis ist aus Tabelle 1 ersichtlich.
Beispiel 3
Es wurde wie in Beispiel 1 verfahren, jedoch wurde anstelle von Palladiumacetat und Ligandl 192 mg (0,31 mmol) Palladiumacetat- Ligandl-Komplex eingesetzt.
Zur Herstellung des Palldaiumacetat-Ligandl-Komplexes wurde 1,0 g (4,4 mmol) Palladiumacetat in 50 ml Aceton gelöst und die Lösung über Celit (geglühtes Kieselgel) filtriert. Zu der Lösung wurde eine Suspension von 1,73 g (4,4 mmol) in 50 ml Aceton gegeben und 1 Stunde bei Raumtemperatur gerührt. Der entstandene hellgelbe Feststoff wurde abfiltriert und im Vakuum getrocknet. Die Ausbeute betrug 2,57 g (94 %) .
Das Ergebnis ist aus Tabelle 1 ersichtlich.
Beispiel 4
Es wurde wie in Beispiel 3 verfahren, jedoch wurde anstelle von 3-Pentennitril 102 ml (840 mmol) 3-Pentensäuremethylester eingesetzt.

Claims
1 . Verfahren zur Carbonylierung von n-Pentensäure oder deren De - rivate der Formel ( I)
C4H7 - R1 ( I)
wobei R1: -CN oder COOR2 mit R2 : Wasserstoff, Alkyl oder Aryl
durch Umsetzung einer Verbindung der Formel (I) mit Kohlenmonoxid und einer eine Hydroxylgruppe enthaltenden Verbindung (II) in Gegenwart eines Katalysatorsystems, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Katalysatorsystem erhältlich ist durch Um- setzung von a) einer Quelle für ein Metall-Ion eines Metalls (III) der 8. Nebengruppe des Periodensystems der Elemente mit b) einem Bidentaten-Phosphin-Liganden der Formel (IV)
(R3R4R5C) (R6R7R8C) P - L1 - X - L2 - P (CR9R10R11 ) (CR12R13R14 ) ( IV)
wobei R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9 , R10, R11, R12 , R13, R14 unabhängig voneinander ein organischer Rest ist, der jeweils ein Kohlenstoffatom enthält, über den der jeweilige Rest mit dem betreffenden in Formel (IV) genannten tertiären Kohlenstoffatom verknüpft ist; L1, L2 unabhängig voneinander eine niedere Alkylengruppe darstellen; X eine Arylengruppe darstellt.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei R2 ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Wasserstoff, Methyl, Ethyl, n-Propyl, i-Propyl, n-Butyl, i-Butyl, s-Butyl, t-Butyl.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei man als Verbindung der Formel (I) zu mindestens 80 Gew.-% 3-Pentennitril ein- setzt.
4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei man als Verbindung der Formel (I) zu mindestens 80 Gew.-% 3-Pentensäuremethyl- ester einsetzt.
5. Verfahren nach den Ansprüchen 1 bis 4, wobei Metall (III) ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Palladium, Platin, Rhodium und Iridium.
6. Verfahren nach den Ansprüchen 1 bis 4, wobei man als Metall (III) Palladium einsetzt.
7. Verfahren nach den Ansprüchen 1 bis 6, wobei R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, R12, R13, R14 unabhängig voneinander je- weils niedere Alkylreste darstellen.
8. Verfahren nach den Ansprüchen 1 bis 7, wobei die Reste R3, R4 , R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, R12, R13, R14 zusammen mit dem tertiären Kohlenstoffatom, mit dem sie direkt verknüpft sind, eine Gruppe bilden, die jeweils mindestens einen sterischen Raumbedarf aufweist wie t-Butyl.
9. Verfahren nach den Ansprüchen 1 bis 8, wobei L1 und L2 jeweils eine Methylengruppe ist.
10. Verfahren nach den Ansprüchen 1 bis 9, wobei das Katalysatorsystem erhältlich ist in Gegenwart einer Anionenquelle (V) .
11. Verfahren nach Anspruch 10, wobei man als Anionenquelle (V) eine Verbindung einsetzt, die in der Lage ist, unter Abspaltung eines H+-Ions ein Anion zur Verfügung zu stellen.
