Definitions
- the invention relates to a device in Preamble of claim 1 mentioned type.
- the application takes place of paint not on the entire surface of the sub-floors the cans, but only on the bead-like protruding edges of the subfloor to the bottom Purpose, these protruding areas in transportation and later use of the cans on a document against damage and corrosion protect.
- a disadvantage of this known application device of paint on the bottom of containers Disadvantage that of the peripheral surface of the applicator roller Uneven amount of paint taken from the tub is, and not just in the circumferential direction the application roller but also across it. This results in there is an uneven paint application on the sub-floors of cans.
- Another disadvantage is that the application roller dipping into the paint in the tub also, at least partially, on their faces is wetted with varnish, partly through Immerse the end faces in the paint in the tub and partly by varnish, which is excess from the peripheral surface the application roller flows to the end faces.
- the invention has for its object a Establishment of those mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 Type for applying varnish to the bottom of containers to create metal that is even Paint application ensures.
- the basic idea of this teaching is that Paint on the application roller not simply by immersion to apply the application roller in varnish in a tub, but through a pair of spreader rollers that are between form a gap, fed into the paint becomes.
- the width of the gap determines the amount of the lacquer passing through the gap, which then from one of the distribution rollers to the peripheral surface of the Application roller is transferred by the peripheral surface this distribution roller with the peripheral surface of the application roller is in paint-transferring contact.
- the feeder of lacquer in the gap between the distribution rollers means So that none of the rollers in a paint supply in a tub enters, rather the supply of paint only in the gap between the distribution rollers.
- For dosing through the gap between the distribution rollers amount of paint passing through and thus the amount of the amount of paint transferred is according to a Development of the invention of the gap between the Distribution rollers adjustable.
- the gap between the distribution rollers are kept constantly full, so that it is useful in the supply of Paint to work with a certain excess. That means, that the formed in the inlet area of the gap Paint bead slowly axially outwards to the ends migrates and there the end faces of the distribution rollers would wet and pollute. For this reason provides a development of the invention that the Gap at the end faces of the distribution rollers into one Excess paint catcher passes over. The excess collected by this collector Lacquer can then be removed in a controlled manner, expediently be returned to the paint supply.
- the collecting device has of the invention on the end faces of the distribution rollers attached scraper blades, which ensure that the whole, from the gap to the end faces migrating paint is scraped off the end faces and practically no paint remains on the end faces.
- the scraper blades form in this embodiment expediently part of only the end faces the distribution rollers open housing, which with a drain channel is connected.
- the scraper blades are preferably resilient the end faces of the distribution rollers to ensure that on the one hand the pressure is not too great, on the other hand not too low, what the complete scraping of the paint could prevent.
- the scraper blades can either be self-resilient or else it will be the housing from which the doctor blades form part by means of a preferably adjustable spring on the end faces of the distribution rollers pressed.
- the scraper blades are preferably arranged in a V-shape, the opening of the V of the inlet side in faces the gap between the distribution rollers. This leads to a merging of the scraped off Lacquer and thus promotes it to the drain channel of the Housing.
- the means for feeding varnish into the gap between the distribution rollers on a feed pipe for paint preferably not with the paint application roller in contact with the distribution roller parallel to the axis this is arranged and over the axial extent this distribution roller distributes outlet openings for Has paint.
- the feed pipe is convenient connected to a pump for supplying paint.
- the suction side of the pump can expediently be connected to the paint tub.
- the distribution rollers are preferably smooth Surface and advantageously consist of metal.
- Fig. 1 shows a frame 2, which is adjustable in height is held on columns 4 and 6.
- a swing arm 10 On the frame 2 is attached to a swing arm 10 via a swivel 8 by means not of interest here in the Height can be pivoted together with those located on it Elements.
- These include an application roller 12, whose axis 14 via a bearing block 16 from the rocker 10 is held.
- the application roller 12 has in its Outside a flexible layer 18, the Outer surface 20 for applying paint to the sub-floors of cans, not shown, is used by Means not shown horizontally across the applicator roller be carried away so that paint from the outer surface 20 of the application roller 12 on the sub-floors of the Cans is transferred.
- rocker 10 On the rocker 10 are two distribution rollers 22 and 24 arranged, the axes 26 and 28 by means of bearing blocks 30 and 32 are mounted on the rocker 10.
- the distribution roller 22 stands with its peripheral surface with the outer surface 20 of the application roller in paint transfer Contact. Between the distribution rollers 22 and 24 is not visible in this size display Gap formed on the front side visible in Fig. 1 the distribution rollers 22 and 24 in a collecting device 34 passes for excess paint, whose Details from the following Fig. 3 can be seen in more detail which enlarge a detail A from FIG. 1 shows.
- Fig. 2 shows a top view of the device according to FIG. 1.
- a feed pipe 36 is arranged for paint that with a feed hose 38 for supplying paint in the direction of a Arrow 40 is connected and on its the distribution roller 24 facing side distributes outlet openings for Has paint on the paint on the distribution roller 24th arrives.
- 1 and 2 are the means for rotary drive the application roller 12 and the distribution roller 22 and 24, but they are not discussed here described.
- FIG. 3 shows an enlarged detail A from FIG. 1 Presentation, with the for better clarity Bearings of the distribution rollers 22 and 24 omitted are.
- the collecting device 34 is via pins 42 and 44 pivotally held on rockers 46 and 48, the held pivotably by studs 50 and 52 are.
- the collecting device 34 is one of those in FIG. 3 visible end faces of the distribution rollers 22, 24 out open and has scraper blades 54 and 56 on abut the end faces of the distribution rollers 22 and 24 and are arranged in a V-shape so that they paint from the Scrape the end faces of the distribution rollers 22 and 24 and, because the opening of the V's formed by them to the inlet side a gap 58 between the distribution rollers 22 and 24 is open to catch paint and a drainage channel 60 feed.
- FIG. 4 shows a part of FIG. 3 in a radial view, so that the catcher 34 and its holder better by means of the pin 54 on the rocker 48 is recognizable.
- the Set the preload with a screw 64 can, so the pressure of the scraper blades 54, 56th adjustable on the end face of the distribution rollers 22, 24 is.
- Fig. 5 shows a single view 3, the collecting device 34, so that the Details and their bracket are more visible. For these details, refer to the description Fig. 3 referenced.
