Die Saugdüse 15 positioniert den Oberfaden 31 dabei auch in der oberen Fadenklemmeinrichtung 44 sowie zwischen den Werkzeugen der unteren Fadenschneideinrichtung 41.

Sobald die beide Fäden 31 und 32 in den Spleißkanal 26 eingelegt und in den Fadenklemmeinrichtungen 43 bzw 44 mechanisch fixiert sind, werden, durch entsprechendes Ansteuern eines Ventils 22, die Halte- und Auflöseröhrchen 33, 34 mit Druckluft beaufschlagt.
Anschließend werden die Fäden 31 und 32 durch die Fadenschneideinrichtungen 41 bzw. 42 abgelängt.

Die Fadenenden von Ober-und Unterfaden 31, 32 werden dadurch pneumatisch fixiert und damit daran gehindert, sich zu stark zu kräuseln.
Durch die über die Tangentialbohrungen 56 bzw. 57 der Halte- und Auflöseröhrchen 33 bzw. 34 einströmende Druckluft werden die Fadenenden von Ober- und Unterfaden außerdem vorschriftsmäßig pneumatisch vorbereitet.
Das heißt, die in die Halte- und Auflöseröhrchen 33 bzw. 34 eingesaugten Fadenenden von Ober- und Unterfaden werden weitestgehend von ihrer Garndrehung sowie von Kurzfasern befreit.

  1.     in that the central axis (37, 38) of the holding and opening tubes (33, 34) runs respectively at the height of the base (55) of the splicing channel (26) and
    in that the entry opening (48, 49) of the holding and opening tube (33, 34) has a funnel-shaped contour (52), which ensures a reliable suctioning in of a cut off thread end from the top or bottom thread (31, 32) into the holding and opening tube (33, 34).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the funnel-shaped contour (52) is a component of an arresting element (53) which can be secured by means of at least one bolt (54) onto the splicing prism (25).

Device according to claim 1, characterised in that injection openings (29) and tangential bores (56, 57) arranged in the splicing channel (26) of the splicing prism (25) are connected in the holding and opening tubes (33, 34) by means of pneumatic lines (18 or 35) and controllable valves (22 or 36) to a source of compressed air (11).
  4. Device according to claim 3, characterised in that the valves (22 or 36) are connected via control lines (27 or 28) to a winding station computer (5) and can be controlled so that the thread ends (31 or 32) are fixed pneumatically in the holding and opening tubes (33 or 34) at least until the introduction of a first injection of splicing air into the splicing channel (26) of the splicing prism (25).
  5.
