Definitions
- the invention relates to impregnated sun and weather protection textiles such as Awning fabrics, boat soft tops u. the like and a method for Manufacture of these textiles.
- Sun and weather protection textiles especially awnings and Boat soft tops serve to protect against solar radiation and others Weather influences especially for protection against rain. That's why they have to Fabrics should be designed to block the sun's rays and avoid Sun rays z. B. get into the rooms of the house and there for example bleaching delicate carpets or other im Objects. Of course you should too Protect people from direct exposure to sun and UV radiation.
- impregnated sun and weather protection textiles are in still in need of improvement in some respects. So there is a need for impregnated sun and weather protection textiles, which have a higher overall bending stiffness own and especially by a good one Resilience, i.e. characterized by increased resilience and the can absorb the largest possible amount of impregnating compound.
- the object of the invention is therefore impregnated sun and To provide weather protection textiles that have good overall bending stiffness and therefore good reshapability i.e. a good Have resilience and a sufficient or large amount of Contain impregnating compound and mechanically, e.g. B. can be claimed by rolling up and down.
- impregnated sun and weather protection textiles comprising a textile fabric made entirely or partially from Siro spun yarns is built up and in which the solid of the impregnating compound in Spun thread is largely evenly distributed and the individual fibers of the Spinnzwirns are largely covered by the impregnating compound.
- the textile fabric is preferably a woven fabric. Fabrics are advantageous with plain weave. Also very advantageous are fabrics with ribbed or Cross rib weave and fabric with Panama weaves.
- the textile fabric initially contains after impregnation in the general 20 to 100 weight percent impregnating compound, based on the Weight of the fibers of the textile fabric, in particular 20 to 40 preferably 30 to 35 percent by weight.
- Weight percent impregnating compound based on the weight of the fibers means Parts by weight of impregnating composition, based on parts by weight of the fibers, e.g. 20 Weight percent impregnating compound means that 20 g impregnating compound per 100 g Fibers have been picked up from the fabric, i.e. Impregnating compound including water, which is used as a solvent or Dispersant for the impregnating compound used in wet impregnation.
- the water and any volatile constituents are removed by drying and there is a solid support, which is dependent on the Solids concentration of the impregnating mass and the amount of absorbed Impregnating.
- Advantageous values are in the range of 2 to 10% in particular 4-6, preferably 5 to 6% by weight.
- the impregnated sun and weather protection textiles or awning fabrics Boat cover fabrics.
- the twists are advantageously made from man-made fibers, preferably from mixtures made of man-made fibers.
- man-made fibers synthetic fibers as well as regenerated fibers, e.g. based on regenerated cellulose.
- Preferred blends are: polyacrylic fibers with polyester fibers, Polypropylene fibers with polyethylene fibers, polyacrylic fibers with polyolefin fibers, Polyacrylonitrile fibers with polyvinyl alcohol fibers, polyester fibers with Polyvinyl alcohol. Other mixtures are possible, more can are mixed together as two types of fiber.
- Another object of the invention is a method for producing impregnated sun and weather protection textiles such as awning fabrics, Boat roofing materials and the like, which is characterized in that one a Siro spinning yarn made from two fiber slivers (rovings) using the Siro spinning process produces from the threads a textile fabric that subjects textile fabrics to wet impregnation, dries and assembled.
- a Siro spinning yarn made from two fiber slivers (rovings) using the Siro spinning process produces from the threads a textile fabric that subjects textile fabrics to wet impregnation, dries and assembled.
- a Siro spun thread is first produced.
- This can For example, in the following way: Two roving lines are placed in the so-called stretch field spinning line fed. This introduction of the two fuses takes place separately, but parallel to each other in the drafting system of the Spinning machine, with the help of double condensers. That is, the The process corresponds to the process of creating a normal single yarn a common spinning machine, but has the decisive difference that two fuses are spun at the same time per spinning position.
- the means that the roving slats pass through a double strap system and then become warped side by side by the trigger cylinder (system of advance).
- the number of twists of the thread inevitably results from the Ratio of the delivery speed of the roving sliver and the number of Spindle speed.
- the drive of the spindle turns a so-called Rotate ring traveler, which sits on the circular ring of the ring bench, the thread is of course drawn into the groove of the ring traveler.
- the speed of the ring traveler is slightly smaller than that of the Spindle namely around the friction ring to runner.
- the threads are then, as is known per se, first of all the warping fed and then to a textile fabric, in particular to processed a fabric.
- impregnation liquor is applied to the fabric, but especially also to the inside of the thread.
- Conventional commercial liquor compositions can be used for wet impregnation.
- particularly suitable compositions can contain the following commercially available components: Function of the component Brand or trade name Manufacturer wetting agent Invadin CIBA crosslinkers LYOFIX CIBA Hydro-Oleophosie FC 3 sts mold-resistant FUNGI OP CIBA Crosslinker catalyst KNITTEX CAT CIBA
- impregnation means in the general sense soaking treatment of textiles with solutions, dispersions and Emulsions and the passage of a fabric through an impregnation solution (Impregnation liquor), after which an even squeezing over length and width of the goods. (from: H.K. Rouette, page 877, Lexicon for textile finishing, Volume 2, 1995 edition; ISBN: 3-87466-228-4, Laumann-Verlag-Dülmen).
- the fibers from which the twists are made can be common Chemical fibers act, in particular those made from synthetic polymers such as polyacrylnytril, polyester, polyolefins, especially those made from Polyethylene terephthalate, polyolefins such as polyethylene and polypropylene, and Mixtures of these man-made fibers, mixtures of two or more Types of synthetic fibers are possible, including the mixing ratios of the individual Synthetic fiber components can be varied in a wide range.
- synthetic polymers such as polyacrylnytril, polyester, polyolefins, especially those made from Polyethylene terephthalate, polyolefins such as polyethylene and polypropylene, and Mixtures of these man-made fibers, mixtures of two or more Types of synthetic fibers are possible, including the mixing ratios of the individual Synthetic fiber components can be varied in a wide range.
- the drying of the fabric after the wet impregnation can in itself usual drying processes can be carried out.
- the drying temperature and the dwell time also depends on the amount of the taken Impregnation, on the other hand also from the composition of the Impregnation. Suitable drying temperatures and residence times can be determined by few trials can be easily determined by the average specialist.
- a very useful drying temperature is 150 ° C, for example the associated dwell time, for example in a stenter, is about 45 Seconds.
- Awning fabrics and boat top fabrics as well as others are known comparable materials frequently use mechanical stresses, especially exposed to bending stress. So especially in Summer awnings often rolled up and down; the same applies to boat top fabrics. The impregnation is also stressed and affected. The overall bending stiffness of the previously known materials is reduced frequent use, which means that the resilience of the Textile is getting worse.
- the impregnated sun and weather protection textiles are surprising the invention is very improved in this regard.
- the manufacturing process is simple and works more economically than before known methods.
- the impregnated sun and weather protection textiles according to the invention can be easily based on appropriate mechanical Clamp devices e.g. on those that are common with awnings that are attached to the outside of a house above windows, or at Terraces.
- the visual appearance of the impregnated sun and Weather protection textiles according to the invention is very good, wrinkling and The formation of creases on the textile fabrics is considerably reduced.
- FIGS. 4 and 5 are two assembled, sewn together Awning webs, the left part of which is made using Siro spun yarn manufactured awning track, i.e. according to the invention, and the right lane an awning lane, which is made using ring twists has been manufactured.
