Definitions
- the invention relates to a focusing drive for optical instruments, especially microscopes. It has a pinion and rack arrangement as well as guide means for moving a device component opposite a stationary additional component. With such adjustment mechanisms The problem often arises that when the pinion and Rack aging or wear and tear occur, causing it to jerky adjustments can come. The racks have to carefully centered and adjusted on the component to be moved. This leads to time-consuming and costly assembly procedures. In connection with the aforementioned susceptibility to wear of such systems therefore, with frequent use, no play or jerk-free guidance over one longer period.
- Support elements arranged. These can be articulated in an arm shape.
- the support elements are advantageous in pairs on the rack, so that one left arm and one right arm are, so to speak, an arm "pair" form. It is also possible that the support elements have an "L” shape the rack are articulated.
- the support elements are resilient. For example, they can be stepped or weakly "S" shaped in the longitudinal cross section his. The support elements lie with their respective ones End areas on the device module to be moved.
- One piece Training the rack is an advantage.
- the focusing drive according to the invention also has guide means for the displacement of a device module relative to a fixed one Device tripod on parallel slide rods. These can be loose in "V" grooves be positioned, the grooves on the one hand in the to be moved Device module and on the other hand provided in the fixed device tripod are.
- the slide rods are under Compressive stress held in their respective position. This will do so realized that the device tripod surrounding the slide rods from the outside in such a way is structurally equipped and dimensioned that a pressure-generating clamp effect on the slide rods. That’s it possible, means for permanent retention or for targeted changes of the pressure.
- These agents can be spring loaded standing knob.
- the slide rods are made of an electrically conductive plastic material and are circular in cross section.
- the special choice of materials succeeds in representing a focusing drive in which the shift is carried out dry sliding along the slide rods. It is also possible to use funds for adjusting or changing the stiffness of the focusing drive to provide.
- this focusing drive according to the invention use in antistatic optical devices, especially microscopes, intended.
- Figure 1 is a side view of a vertical part of a fixed tripod 6 shown, which shows a focusing knob 8 with its axis of rotation 1a.
- An angled holding arm 5, for example for a microscope stage, is slidably mounted along the vertical tripod 6.
- FIG. 4 shows a horizontal section along the plane BB of FIG. 1.
- On their common axis 1a is the pinion 1, which meshes with the rack 2.
- the slide bars are circular in cross section. If you press one Focus button 8 or both focus buttons 8 in the same direction, see above moves the holding arm 5 connected to the rack 2 perpendicular to Drawing level, either up or down.
- FIGs 5a to 5c is in different views Rack 2 according to the invention shown in sections.
- Figure 5a you can see a top view of part of the rack 2.
- the Support elements 3 in pairs - in the form of angled arms - shown.
- Your end regions 3a form on the "angled arms” so to speak the "hands”.
- the sliding device module 5 This is in illustrated in Figure 5c. You can see that only that End regions 3a of the support elements 3 on or on the shifting device module 5 on or rest.
- the rack 2 can - as indicated in Figure 5a - on the wall of the Device module 5 are attached by means of screws 9, some of the End regions 3a for the passage of screws either with a hole 9a or a half-hole 9b or an elongated hole 9c.
- the Elongated holes 9c compensate for any changes in detail that may occur Dimensioning of the rack 2 or 2a and the support elements 3 or 3a, for example, due to temperature and others Environmental influences.
- the complete rack 2, 2a, 3, 3a made of a plastic composite material consisting of "DELRIN 577" with 20% glass fiber.
- each slide rod 4 has a Has anti-twist protection. From Figure 2 it can be seen that this is in the form a transverse pin 4a can be realized. From Figure 2 is can also be seen that the device tripod 6 in cross section such is designed so that it is a bracket-shaped pressing causes two slide rods 4. For this purpose, the device stand 6 has a cross section (see Figure 2) deep incisions 10 on the entire device module give a lasting clinging effect in this area.
- Adjusting screw 7a which has a rotary knob 7b, which in the area 7c has a spring under pressure (not shown), can the bracket effect already described increased or targeted can be preset. This can be done with simultaneous, but opposite, vigorous rotation of both focusing knobs 8 an increased compressive stress be generated on the device tripod 6, so that the "Stiffness" of the focusing drive can be changed.
- the slide bars are made of electrically conductive plastic material, for example from a carbon fiber reinforced composite material, manufactured. This creates an electrically conductive connection between the two components to be moved (device module 5 / device tripod 6) given, which advantageously uses this described arrangement in antistatic microscopes.
