Definitions
- the invention relates to a latch needle, in particular for knitting machines, in particular circular knitting machines.
- Tongue needles are used, for example, in circular knitting machines used.
- the latch needles have one at one end Hook on, in the neighborhood of a tongue in one corresponding tongue slot pivotable on the latch needle is stored.
- the tongue is arranged so that in the closed position at or on the end of the hook rests and the thread space bounded in part by the hook closes. In its open position is the Tongue, however, in reserve and thus gives the thread space free.
- tongue needles are in large number available.
- the latch needles are in needle channels stored during the operation of the Knitting machine in the longitudinal direction in rapid succession be moved forth. The tongues beat open and closed. You have to be easy going, what in the Usually a certain lateral play of the tongue on the latch needle conditionally.
- the hook of the latch needle engages a thread with the needle in the return stroke.
- a thread behind the tongue, which is in reserve is located on the needle top closes first the tongue.
- this thread slides over the hook. It then becomes a mesh formed.
- the hook in this process caught thread must slide into the hook interior can, with the thread space closed by the tongue must become. Only with the following opposing Movement of the needle allows this thread from the hook interior slip out and then the tongue and thus the Thread space opens. If the tongue is previously off the hook lifted and thus the thread space opened and escapes the thread between the hook tip and the tongue out of the Thread space, arise drop stitches, i. it will be a mistake Knitted fabric with insufficient quality.
- Tongue pins are also often used for two-ply knits used. To a two-ply knit with uniform It is, however, from appearance crucial that the threads in the Thread space of the latch needle does not follow their order To deceive.
- Two-thread knit, so-called clad Goods are often different by combination Threads, for example a natural fiber yarn with an elastomer thread, produced.
- the elastomer thread in the Usually on the later invisible product page, eg. On the back of the goods, lie. Swap the threads their position, i. they reject, is this requirement not met, and then an undesirable pattern arises, because usually both threads are different Shape and / or color as well as various other properties to have.
- Tongue needles are known, for example, from DE-PS 1069812.
- the latch needle has a pivotally mounted Tongue, in whose tongue spoon a zasche, i. a Recess for receiving the hook tip is formed.
- the tongue is straight.
- the inner contour of the tongue connects directly to the tip of the hook when the tongue in the closed position.
- Right-left circular knitting machines i. single surface Circular knitting machines, have one instead of the dial Circuit board ring with containment boards. This ring or These boards are needed to make the knitted fabric too hold. For this they will, when the knitting machine needles in their respective uppermost position the stitch forming part of the needle passed and hold down the last knitted stitch.
- the knitting machine needles subject when knitting a high Wear, e.g. due to the high working speeds the knitting machine, due to the processed Yarns, through abrasive wear and more Influences. The wear usually leads to the tongue bearing both in the axial and in the radial direction over time gets more and more game, what to do causes the tongue to deflect laterally during operation.
- Needle tongues with Zasche are particularly sensitive to such wear. Due to the aforementioned abrasion arises from a former Rounded tongue head a tongue spoon with sharp-edged Zaschenr Sn. There is a risk of damage the threads what with break- or tear-sensitive threads, such as. Elastomer threads particularly serious Has consequences, tear the strings.
- Such tongue needles also behave simultaneous processing of multiple threads, e.g. to Producing two-ply knitwear, critical.
- the latch needle for two-ply knits known.
- the latch needle has one hinged tongue on the inside with a slope or step projecting into the hook space is provided.
- the tongue shaft has an im Essentially constant height, starting at the level, until about the rounded tongue end.
- the tongue has a spoon with a recess (Zasche), which is used to hold part of the Hook tip serves.
- the step is called oblique surface in Direction of the hook tip formed and serves as Support surface for the threads of the two-ply knitted fabric.
- the support surface faces the hook interior and comes in contact with the thread, especially if the threads on the tongue bearing edge of the Thread space abut.
- GB 1 398 419 discloses a latch needle known with a tongue, at the end one with a generous recess provided spoon is formed. This spoon is used to hold the hook tip in the closed Status. Immediately following this Spoon is formed on the tongue inner contour a step pointing away from the tip of the hook. With such needles For example, threads may get stuck on the step when attached to the step Inner contour of the tongue sliding along in the hook interior to arrive.
- the latch needle according to the invention has a tongue on, on their inner contour, i. at her the thread room facing side has a step. This level when retracting the needle, e.g. when knocking off a stitch the thread towards the needle back in the Hook interior and thus away from the hook tip.
- the Stage directs the thread, which is located in the thread space and from which a stitch is formed when knocked off, in the hook interior and avoids that the thread like a wedge between the tip of the hook and the tongue spoon urges and as a consequence between the tip of the hook and the Tongue spoon escapes. In this way, drop stitches reliably avoided.
- the needle according to the invention by the step on the inner contour of the tongue ensured be that the two threads in their original Enter sequence in the hook interior.
- the inner contour the thread space is relatively smooth, so no one the threads during knitting on an edge or a Paragraph stuck. This is especially because the has provided on the tongue stage provided to the hook tip and with this to a substantially smooth inner contour the thread space complements.
- the stage and itself subsequent area of the tongue thus form when the Tongue is closed, i. if the tongue spoon in the Zasche rests, as it were a bridge to the overpass of the thread in the hook interior.
- This is the Transition from the lower tongue edge (inner contour) to the bottom edge of the hook tip and the subsequent inner edge formed almost completely. Neither can a thread slip through (drop stitch), nor is a cause of confusion Thread order given (faults).
- Tongue of the hook tip is arranged adjacent. Of the remaining space between hook tip and step can then be made very small. Preferably opens this gap or gusset in the direction on the opposite inner wall of the thread space or towards the hook interior.
- the stage is here However, preferably formed undercuts to when opening the tongue no obstacle to the thread too form.
- the step is preferably by a projection trained under the imaginary extension of the Hook inner bow or the inner shape of the hook ("Inner edge”) protrudes into the thread space. This avoids both drop stitches and thread distortions.
- the latch needle is preferably a hook-toothed Needle.
- a recess for recording the spoon end or spoon head provided.
- Such hooked tongue needle has the above Benefits in addition to the advantage that they relatively little susceptible to wear.
- the hooked Ping-needle according to the invention has clear advantages.
- the tongue is slightly flattened at its end, it is therefore narrower than the hook and she has no zasche.
- the hooked Tongue needle is the Zasche at least at the tip of the hook, but preferably overall, so flat that at no point is it deeper than half the hook thickness. In this way, a weakening of the hook tip is avoided. In addition, the formation of sharp edges the tip of the hook avoided. This, though thanks to the level the inner contour of the tongue is a smooth transition from the Tongue is reached to the hook interior.
- FIG. 1 illustrates a latch needle 1, whose shaft 2 is provided at one end with a hook 3 is.
- the hook 3 is bent away in the direction of the needle back 10 and expires in a hook tip 4, which, like Figure 5 illustrates in particular, approximately spherically curved and thus formed rounded.
- the tip of the hook 4 may also be different from FIG Form e.g. a substantially tapered cone shape exhibit.
- Figure 1 further illustrates an intermediate the needle shaft 5 formed on the shaft 2 and the hook 3, which merges seamlessly into the needle top 20.
- a tongue slot 6 is formed in the Needle breast 5, a tongue slot 6 is formed.
- Tongue slot 6 is a tongue 7 pivotally mounted. As is indicated in Figure 3, the tongue 7 can between move two positions back and forth.
- the first Position is a closed position I ( Figure 2) and the second Position is a reserve II.
- For storage serves a not further illustrated pin, which has a pivot axis 8 determines.
- the closed position I is off the hook 3 and the tongue 7 a thread space 9 bounded. Is located the tongue 7 in reserve II, the thread space 9 is released, i.e. open.
- a part of the thread space 9 is of the Hook 3 limited and referred to as hook interior 9a.
- the latch needle 1 is a hook-toothed needle.
- the zasche 11 is, as shown in Figure 5, relatively flat.
- she preferably has a bottom 14, which leads to both Long sides framed by remaining fascia walls is. He preferably reaches an imaginary center line 15 of the hook cross section not. However, they are also embodiments possible, in which the Zasche 11, for example. In Area of the hook tip 4, the center line 15 reaches or cuts.
- the hook 3 has, as is apparent in particular from FIG. 5, an inner contour, starting from a Bending area 16 merges into an area in which the Hook 3 has a substantially straight inner edge 17. This ends at a point 18, at the tip of the hook 4 ends with a corresponding curvature. For differentiation the hook tip 4 of the remaining hook. 3 is entered in Figure 5, a line 19. About in Zaschenmitte is another line 21 registered, at the Zasche 11 has approximately its greatest depth and less than half, preferably about one third the hook strength occupies.
- the tongue 7 provided with a step 22, in particular from Figure 4 and 5 shows.
- the step 22 is formed by that the tongue 7 with its inner contour 23 of an imaginary, shown in broken lines in Figure 4 and 5 Line 24 deviates.
- This line 24 illustrates the imaginary extension of the floor 14 of the Zasche 11.
- On the bottom 14 of the zipper 11 is the tongue 7 with their contact surface 25 on.
- the step 22 preferably begins immediately at the tongue spoon end 12, which, when the tongue 7 is in the closed position, engages the zipper 11. As a result, the step 22 hides the hook tip 4, so that the thread does not touch them when the tongue 7 is closed can.
- the deviation of the inner contour 23 from the line 24th is by a preferably beginning at the Zasche 11 Projection 26 is formed, the inner contour 23 of the Tongue 7 without offset to the inner edge 17 of the hook 3 pass over leaves.
- This is in particular with reference to FIG. 5 can be seen in a connecting line 27 between the Point 18 at which the inner edge 17 of the hook 3 to the Hook tip 4 passes, and registered a point 29 is at which the step 22 in the inner contour 23 of the tongue 7 passes.
- the point 29 can, however, also in the Thread space 9 to be shifted in, i. the level 22 can If necessary, be significantly larger than in figure 4 and 5 shown.
- the location is 29 designed so that the connecting line 27 is approximately parallel to the direction of the latch needle and thus is parallel to the longitudinal direction of its shaft 2.
- the point 29 may be designed that this connection line 27 with the longitudinal direction of Stem 2 of the latch needle forms an acute angle, the tip of the angle in the direction of the hook 4 points away.
- the inner contour 23 is from the perspective of the hook interior 9 preferably concavely curved and jump-like.
- the shoulder is 22 without undercut, i. she concludes with the Inner contour 23 and the support surface 25 each one obtuse angle ⁇ , ⁇ .
- the angle is ⁇ while slightly larger than the angle ⁇ . It turns out, from the tongue bearing seen from, thereby one of the Line 24 away in the thread space 9 running inner contour 23rd the tongue 7.
- the an approximately isosceles or equilateral triangle forms. This is relatively narrow and preferably so close that no thread can penetrate. This means that the Distance of the point 18 from the point 29 preferably lower is as the diameter of the thinnest, with the latch needle 1 to be processed thread ( Figure 2). Furthermore is both the inner edge 17 of the hook 3, and the Inner contour 23 of the tongue 7, in particular at its side edges 33 rounded.
- the tongue needle 1 described so far works as follows:
- the latch needle 1 can operate like a conventional one Tongue needle 1, especially as a replacement or Exchange for this, to be used. It is suitable like other latch needles, for processing conventional ones Threads and yarns under normal conditions of use. However, it is also particularly suitable for processing of delicate threads, of monofilament threads such as elastomeric threads and clad for making Goods, i. two- or Merfädiger knitted fabric.
- the latch needle 1 In Driven driving direction, whereby the tongue 7, as shown in FIG 3 illustrates, through which located in the yarn interior Thread is moved to the reserve II. In the further Movement of this thread slides over the inner contour 23 of the tongue 7 away until he at the back of the needle 10 facing away from the needle top 20 is applied.
- the hook 3 can now be e.g. two threads 35, 36 capture ( Figure 2), whereupon the latch needle 1 their Return stroke begins.
- the tongue 7 beats in her Closing position I, whereby she closes the thread space 9.
- the Threads 35, 36, in Figure 2 with the same diameter are shown, but also a divergent, may have different diameters are now taken in the thread space 9 and can be in this move.
- the advantage is the advantage 26 like a ski jump or a bridge Transition from the inner contour 23 to the inner edge 17. Die Threads 35, 36 thus run smoothly over the gap 32, without to swap their order.
- Reed needle 1 can be seen in FIG. It deals Here is a tongue - stained needle, in which the Tongue-spoonful 12, that the free end of the tongue 7 forms, has a zasche 11a.
- the zasche 11a is from an edge 14a surrounded, whose just imagined extension in figure 6 is shown as line 24.
- the projection 26 protrudes again in the direction of the hook space via the line 24 in front. This projection can, as illustrated in FIG. 6, with a step 22 to the edge 14a of the zasche 11a pass.
- the inner contour the tongue 7 set so that the edge 14 a of the tongue 7, starting at about point 29, just about to Tip of the tongue 12 runs. It is essential here that the tongue 7, when in the closed position, with the hook 3 defines a substantially smooth contour. In other words, the inner edge 17 substantially closes smooth on the inner contour 23 at.
- the orientation of line 27 is correct approximately in accordance with the orientation of the needle back.
- a latch needle is on the inner contour 23 of the Tongue 7 a step 22 formed, which serves a smooth transition of a along the inner contour 23 along grazing thread in the hook interior 9a enable.
- the level 22 closes smooth inside with the Inner edge 17 and the hook tip 4 from or protrudes something further into the thread space 9. This reduces the Risk of formation of drop stitches or of Yarn distortions with clad knitted fabric.
- the Tongue 7 is in particular at its tongue spoon end 12th not wider than the hook 3 and has no zasche, so the danger of sharp edges (acute-angled wedge) is largely reduced by lateral grinding. The formation of sharp edges due to increasing needle wear and thus the risk of thread damage is thus reduced. This also serves to increase the Quality of the fabric produced with the reed needle 1.
