Abstract

The hinge consists of a fixed section (2) joined to the fixed frame (6) by a fastening and equipped with a pivot (8) engaging with a matching component (9) on a moving section (3) connected to the door or window (10). The fixed section's pivot is joined to an intermediate support with a coupling designed to engage with a matching component on the fastening, and has a lock to prevent the coupling from disengaging. The lock is in the form of a rotary component on the fixed section's fixing plate (11) with an eccentric head to retain the intermediate support.

Description

The invention relates to a hinge fitting for a door, window or the like, comprising a fixed part, on the one hand, made integral by means of fixing means suitable for rebating a frame and, on the other hand, provided with articulation means, such as a ball joint, a socket or pin, intended to cooperate with means of complementary articulation of a movable part attached to the opening of said door, window or the like.

The present invention will find its application in the field of the building hardware and concerns, more in particular, the hinge fittings.

We already know a number of fittings of articulation corresponding to the description above. So such hinge fittings for doors, windows or similar, have a fixed part and a mobile part, the first being intended to be secured to the frame of this door or window, while the moving part comes, attach to the sash.

The cooperation between this fixed part and the mobile part is carried out by means of articulation which can borrow different embodiments.

It is very common for the fixed part of such fittings of articulation are associated fixing means in frame rebate which can adopt different embodiments, in particular depending on whether this sleeping frame is made of wood or is in the form of an assembly of metal or synthetic profiles. So it is usual that such profiles define, in the rebate of said frame frame, a “U” or “T” section groove with which usually cooperate such means of rebate fixing.

Often these come in the form of a turntable or a blade extending parallel along this rebate therefore of the groove, which blade or plate is crossed by fixing members, in particular screws intended to cooperate with woodwork.

In the groove, especially when it is of cross section substantially in the shape of a "T" can be engaged an element forming a nut with which the fixing screws cooperate to which we have just referred. It is also common to equip the rear face of the aforementioned fixing plate an anchoring shoe intended, precisely, to come to anchor in said groove so as to increase the mechanical strength of all. Fixing is again ensured using screws coming to engage in the thickness of the profile corresponding to the carpentry.

It is quite common to combine these fixing means in rebate of the frame of the fixed part of a fitting of articulation of the adjustment means, more particularly provided for adjusting the positioning of the sash relative to its sleeping frame.

It is obvious that the association of the fixed part and the movable part of a hinge fitting, respectively at sleeping frame and the opening of a door or window, is done by the carpenter once and for all, the means of adjustment being provided to adjust or resume positioning opening the door, window or the like.

Furthermore, when it comes, for questions of maintenance or when installing the carpentry at the level of a building, to unhook the sash from its sleeping frame this dissociation occurs at the level of the means of articulation connecting the mobile part to the fixed part.

When the articulation means are in the form of a succession of bushings crossed by an axis, as is the case for hinge-type hinge fittings, we come, first, drive out the axis before removing the sash of its sleeping frame. The problem in such a conception consists in maintaining the opening while comes to remove the connecting pin.

It is also known means of articulation in the form a ball joint or a section of axis, often associated with the part fixed the hinge fitting, while the movable part includes additional articulation means in the form a socket designed to be fitted onto this ball or socket axis section.

In the latter case, it is advisable to remove frame sleeping the opening, to print to the latter a displacement, parallel to its axis of articulation, a height corresponding to that of the ball joint or of said axis section.

In special circumstances, it may be that such displacement of the sash over such a long length, impossible, so it is necessary to separate or the fixed part or mobile part, respectively of the frame or opening it to remove it.

There are also situations where the movement relating to communicate to the sash to unhook it from the frame sleeping, so to dissociate their means of articulation respective, has harmful consequences. This is notably the case when there is a hinge fitting of the invisible type, comprising a movable part taking position in rebate and / or more simply at the level of the strip of covering extending around the periphery of the opening and intended, in the closed position of the latter, to be applied on the internal face of the sleeping frame. We understand that in such a situation the means of articulation of the fixed part and the additional means of articulation of the mobile part are also located at the level of this covering strip also receiving a peripheral seal.

In these conditions, it would be necessary, up to these means of articulation, to interrupt this seal and, this, on a height taking into account the relative displacement that we can be brought to communicate to the opening to unhook it of its sleeping frame.

In reality, it is very rarely taken into account displacement that one may have to give to the opening for unhook it from its sleeping frame, this, of course, to improve the tightness of the door or window. Obviously, in these conditions, we cannot help but deteriorate, this seal when this removal of the sash proves necessary.

Note, by the way, that it is also necessary to remove such a seal at the right of a joint more classic and, therefore, visible, due to the constraints of design of the latter.

The present invention has proposed to remedy the problem cited above. So, as part of a first inventive step, we imagined to dissociate the hooking function from opening it onto its dormant frame means of articulation which connect them, so to move away from the most generally used to date.

It will be noted in this regard that it is known from document GB-A-14556 relatively old, a hinge made up of two blades one of which is attached to the sash and the other to the frame sleeping. In fact, one of these blades is divided into two parts, a fixing plate intended to be attached to the carpentry and an intermediate blade which is provided with articulation means intended to cooperate with means complementary articulation of the other blade of this hinge.

At the level of the fixing plate is provided a buttonhole in which can engage, like a lock, a "Button" pivotally mounted on said intermediate blade. Then, by communicating, to this button, a rotation, it follows the locking of said intermediate blade on this plate of fixation.

However, we do not find in this conception the function attachment to secure the intermediate blade of the mounting plate, their cooperation is by interlocking horizontal. So, after fitting the button into its buttonhole, it must be rotated so that the opening is secured to the sleeping frame, without being able to detach it under the influence of its own weight.

The way of approaching the problem according to the invention made it possible to consider, in the event of a drop in the opening from its frame sleeping, to have to print to this opening a displacement which either of an amplitude strictly dependent on the function opening-standing link and not of the articulation function.

Note, in this regard, that the means of articulation can borrow configurations strictly identical to those current so that it is still possible to connect the part mobile of a hinge fitting to the fixed part by through these means of articulation. This may be particularly practical when the carpenter comes combine these different parts of the hinge fitting, on one side, on the frame and, on the other, on a frame opening, at the level of separate production lines.

Thus, the present invention relates to a hinge fitting for door, window or the like comprising a fixed part, on the one hand, made united by means of means of suitable rebate fastening of a frame and, on the other part, provided with articulation means intended to cooperate with means of complementary articulation of a movable part attached to the opening of said door, window or the like, characterized by the fact that the means of articulation of the fixed part are secured to an intermediate support comprising provided attachment means capable of cooperating with additional attachment means associated with the means of rebate fixing of said fixed part, means of locking being provided for, in the locked position, prevent the means of attachment from being released from their means additional attachment.

Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent during the description which follows relating to a mode of realization which is only given as an indicative example and not limiting.

As visible in the figures of the attached drawings, the present invention relates to the field of fittings hinge for door, window or the like.

Such a hinge fitting 1 has a fixed part 2 and a movable part 3. The first is made integral by by means of suitable fastening means in rebate 5 of the frame 6, here shown in the form of a simple profile section, corresponding to a door, window or analog 7.

This fixed part 2 is further provided with means hinge 8 intended to cooperate with means of additional articulation 9 that comprises the mobile part 3 corresponding to this hinge fitting 1 and which is made integral with the opening 10 corresponding to this door, window or similar 7.

The fastening means 4 in rebate 5 of the sleeping frame 6 of the fixed part 2 can, of course, borrow different forms of production.

Thus, according to the embodiment corresponding to the figures of attached drawing, they consist of a fixing plate 11 provided, at its rear face 12, with an anchoring shoe 13 of section adapted for its reception, in particular by clipping, in a groove 14 that usually has a frame frame 6 designed by assembling metal type profiles or made of synthetic material.

Such an anchoring shoe 13 can still receive means for prepositioning in this groove 14 in the form, in particular, anchor pins 15 intended to cooperate with a wall lateral 16 of this groove 14 to ensure its immobility in translation in the latter, in particular until the moment engagement of the fixing screws 17 coming through openings 18 in the fixing plate 11 and said shoe anchor 13 to be accommodated in the thickness of the frame sleeping 6.

According to a particular embodiment, the fixing plate 11 and the anchoring shoe 13 are two separate elements, the first being mounted using adjustment means 19, more in particular, an eccentric screw 20 on the second. To note, in this regard, that said fixing plate 11 can present to the at least one opening 21 engaging on a guide pad 22 associated with the anchoring shoe 13 in order to guide, during the adjustments via the eccentric screw 20, the displacement of said fixing plate 11.

So, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, this cooperation between the opening (s) 21 and the stud (s) guide 22 allows, during an intervention on the screw eccentric 20, to adjust the positioning of the fixing 11 in a direction parallel to the groove 14, either parallel to the pivot axis of the opening 10.

As for the articulation means 8, they are illustrated, here, under form of a ball joint 23 extending from a support base 24 perpendicular to the plane of the fixing plate 11 of which it is made united.

In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the movable part 3 of the hinge fitting 1 is provided able to take position in a recess 25 formed in the covering strip 26 with which the opening 10 is fitted, this of the side 27 provided suitable for coming into contact with the frame 6, once the door or window 7 is closed.

This mobile part 3 is advantageously in the form a housing 28 taking position in this recess 25, at the interior of which extends a socket 29 corresponding to the additional articulation means 9, therefore provided capable of receive the ball 23.

It should be noted that the present invention is not in no way limited to this particular embodiment of the moving part 3.

In fact, the peculiarity of the invention consists in that the articulation means 8 of the fixed part 2, in this case the ball 23, are integral with an intermediate support 30 comprising hooking means 31 provided capable of cooperating with additional attachment means 32 associated with fastening means 4 in rebate 5 of said fixed part 2. By elsewhere, locking means 33 are provided for, in locked position, prevent the hooking means 31 from coming free from these additional attachment means 32.

Substantially and apart from the support base 24 which is integral with the ball 23, the intermediate support 30 is presented in the form of a wing 34 extending parallel to the plate fixing 11 so as to come to apply on this last. On the rear face 35, facing this plate of attachment 11, this wing 34 has a hook 36 provided for come to engage and cooperate with a hanging opening 37 provided for this purpose in this fixing plate 11.

In particular, the attachment opening 37 is defined frustoconical in its lower part 38, while the hook 36 has, itself, a complementary shape, this of so as to contribute to the transversal positioning of this support intermediate 30 relative to said fixing plate 11. A also note, in this regard, that the wing 34 can be provided on its rear face 35 and at its lateral edges 39, 40, lateral retaining flanges 41 intended to cooperate with the lateral edges 42 of the fixing plate 11.

Preferably, in the case of a carpentry whose frame frame 6 is defined by metal or material profiles plastic and therefore comprising rebate 5, a groove 14, the opening 37 in the fixing plate 11 is located to the right of this groove 14, while the hook 36 is extended so as to extend into the latter. If we imagine now the hanging opening 37 and therefore the hook 36 of width adjusted to this groove 14, the assembly creates an anchorage of very good mechanical strength compared to the carpentry.

As for the locking means 33, they are, according to a preferred embodiment, in the form of a pivot 43 mounted in braked rotation at the level of the fixing plate 11 and comprising an eccentric head 44 which, as the case may be, is capable whether or not to extend in front of the wing 34 of the intermediate support 30 once it is hooked onto said fixing plate 11.

At its edge 45 opposite this pivot 43 and therefore the head 44 eccentric, the wing 34 may have a recess 46 on its front face 47, opposite the fixing plate 11 for, precisely, to receive in part this eccentric head 44 in locking position.

Therefore, where appropriate, for questions of maintenance or other, to unhook the sash 10 from its frame dormant 6, it suffices to pivot the pivot 43 so as to release its head 44 in front of the wing 34. At this time the intermediate support 30 and therefore the opening 10 can be lifted so as to release the hook 36 from the hooking opening 37. It should be noted in particular that the amplitude of this movement can be greatly reduced since the height hooking 48 of the hook 36 in the hooking opening 37 can be low while offering the whole a perfect hold mechanical.

Obviously, this manipulation is particularly simple, knowing, moreover, that this step of the opening 10 relative to the frame 6 does not involve the connection articulated between the fixed part 2 and the mobile part 3 of the hinge fitting 1.

As is apparent from the foregoing description, the present invention is an advantageous answer to the problem posed.

Claims (6)

Hinge fitting for door, window or the like comprising a fixed part (2), on the one hand, made integral by by means of fixing means (4) suitable for rebate (5) of a frame (6) and, on the other hand, provided articulation means (8) intended to cooperate with means complementary articulation (9) of a movable part (3) attached to the opening (10) of said door, window or analog (7), characterized in that the means articulation (8) of the fixed part (2) are integral with a intermediate support (30) comprising hooking means (31) provided capable of cooperating with attachment means complementary (32) associated with the fixing means (4) in rebate (5) of said fixed part (2), means for lock (33) being provided for, in the locked position, prevent the fastening means (31) from being released from their additional attachment means (32). Hinge fitting according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the fixing means (4) of the fixed part (2) comprise a fixing plate (11) extending in rebate (5) of the frame (6), at the level of this fixing plate (11) being formed a hooking opening (37), defining the additional attachment means (32) and provided capable of receiving a hook (36), corresponding to the hooking means (31), which comprises the rear face (35) of a wing (34), extending parallel to the fixing plate (11) and corresponding to the intermediate support (30). Hinge fitting according to claim 2, characterized by the fact that the hooking opening (37) is defined by frustoconical shape in its lower part (38), the hook (36) having a complementary shape capable of contribute to the transverse positioning of the support intermediate (30) relative to the fixing plate (11). Hinge fitting according to any one of Claims 2 and 3, characterized in that the wing (34) is provided, on its rear face (35) and at its lateral edges (39, 40), lateral retaining edges (41) intended to cooperate with the side edges (42) of the plate fixing (11). Hinge fitting according to claim 1 and one any one of claims 2 to 4, characterized in that that the locking means (33) are in the form a pivot (43) mounted in rotation at the level of the plate fixing (11) and comprising an eccentric head (44), which, depending on the case, is able to extend or not in front of the wing (34) of the intermediate support (30) once it is hooked on said fixing plate (11). Hinge fitting according to claim 5, characterized by the fact that the wing (34) of the intermediate support (30) comprises, at its edge (45) opposite the pivot (43), a recess (46) on the front face (47), opposite the plate of fixing (11), to receive, in part, the eccentric head (44) in the locked position.
