Abstract

The hinge consists of a fixed section (2) joined to the fixed frame (6) by a fastening and equipped with a pivot (8) engaging with a matching component (9) on a moving section (3) connected to the door or window (10). The fixed section's pivot is joined to an intermediate support with a coupling designed to engage with a matching component on the fastening, and has a lock to prevent the coupling from disengaging. The lock is in the form of a rotary component on the fixed section's fixing plate (11) with an eccentric head to retain the intermediate support.

Description

The invention relates to a hinge fitting for a door, window or the like comprising a fixed part provided with hinge means intended to cooperate with complementary hinge means of a movable part designed to be attached to the opening of said door, window or the like, said fixed part comprising means for fastening a frame in a rebate in the form of a fixing plate provided with a hooking opening for receiving a hook which comprises an intermediate support of which are integral with said hinge means.

The present invention will find application in the field of building hardware and relates, more particularly, the hinge fittings.

Already known, a number of articulation fittings as described above. Thus, such hinge fittings for doors, windows or the like, comprise a fixed portion and a movable portion, the first being provided to be secured to the frame of this door or window, while the movable part comes, it is fix on the opening.

The cooperation between this fixed part and the moving part is effected by means of articulation means which can take different embodiments.

It is very common for the fixed part of such hinge fittings to be associated with rebate fastening means of the fixed frame which can adopt different embodiments, in particular according to whether the frame is made of wood or is in the form of an assembly of metal profiles or of synthetic material. Thus, it is customary for such profiles to define, as a recess, of said frame a "U" -shaped or "T" -shaped groove with which, usually, such rebate fastening means cooperate.

Often, these are in the form of a plate or a blade extending parallel along the rabbet so the groove, which blade or platinum is traversed by fasteners, including screws for cooperating with carpentry.

In the groove, particularly when it is of substantially T-shaped section can be engaged a nut member with which come to cooperate the fixing screws to which reference has been made. It is also customary to equip the rear face of the aforementioned mounting plate with an anchor shoe intended specifically to be anchored in said groove so as to increase the mechanical strength of the assembly. The fixing is, again, provided by screws coming into the thickness of the profile corresponding to the joinery.

It is quite common to associate with these fastening means rabbet of the frame of the fixed part of a hinge fitting adjustment means, more particularly designed to adjust the positioning of the opening relative to its frame.

It is obvious that the combination of the fixed part and the movable part of a hinge fitting, respectively to the frame and the opening of a door or window, is performed by the carpenter once and for all , the adjustment means being provided for adjusting or resuming the positioning of the opening of the door, window or the like.

Moreover, when it comes, for maintenance issues or at the time of installation of carpentry at the level of of a building, to unhook the opening of its sleeping frame this dissociation occurs at the height of the hinge means connecting the movable part to the fixed part.

When the hinge means are in the form of a succession of bushings traversed by an axis, as is the case for the hinge type hinge fittings, it is initially, to hunt the axis before removing the leaf from its sleeping frame. The problem in such a design is that it is necessary to maintain the opening while one comes to remove the link axis.

It is also known hinge means in the form of a ball or a shaft section, often associated with the fixed part of the hinge fitting, while the movable part comprises additional hinge means under shape of a socket intended to be fitted on this ball or this section of axis.

In the latter case, it is necessary, to remove the opening frame, to print to the latter a displacement, parallel to its hinge axis, a height corresponding to that of the patella or said section d 'axis.

In particular circumstances, it is possible that such a displacement of the opening on such a long length is impossible, so that it is necessary to separate or the fixed part or the movable part, respectively of the sleeping frame or the opening to remove the latter.

There are also situations where the relative movement to communicate to the opening to unhook it from the sleeping frame, thus to dissociate their respective means of articulation, has adverse consequences. This is particularly the case when one is in the presence of a hinge fitting of the invisible type, comprising a moving part taking position in rabbet and / or more simply at the cover strip extending peripherally of the opening and intended, in the closed position thereof, to be applied on the inner face of the fixed frame. It is understood that in such a situation the articulation means of the fixed part and the complementary articulation means of the movable part are also located at the height of this covering strip which also receives a gasket. Under these conditions, it would be necessary, up to these means of articulation, to interrupt the seal and, this, on a height taking into account the relative displacement that can be brought to communicate to the opening to unhook him from his sleeping frame.

In reality, it is very rarely taken into account this movement that we may have to confer to the opening to remove it from its sleeping frame, this, of course, to improve the sealing of the door or window. Obviously, under these conditions, we can not help but deteriorate, this seal at the time when the removal of the opening is necessary.

It will be noted, in passing that it is also necessary to remove such a seal to the right of a more conventional joint and, therefore, visible, because of the design constraints of the latter.

The present invention proposes to remedy the aforementioned problem. Thus, in the context of a first inventive step, it was thought to dissociate the attachment function of the opening on its sleeping frame of the articulation means that connect them, therefore to deviate from the solution. more generally used until today.

It will be noted in this regard that it is known from GB-A-14556 relatively old, a hinge consisting of two blades, one of which is attached to the opening and the other to the frame. In fact, one of these blades is subdivided into two parts, a fixing plate intended to be attached to the joinery and an intermediate blade which is provided with hinge means intended to cooperate with complementary articulation means of the other blade of this hinge.

At the mounting plate is provided a buttonhole in which can be engaged in the manner of a lock, a "button" pivotally mounted on said intermediate blade. Then, by communicating, to this button, a rotation, it follows the locking of said intermediate blade on the mounting plate.

However we do not find in this design the hooking function for securing the intermediate blade of the mounting plate, their cooperation is by horizontal interlocking. Thus, after fitting the button in its buttonhole, it must be rotated so that the leaf is secured to the frame, without it can not fall under the influence of its own weight.

In the same way, it is known from document DE-20 935, a hinge consisting of two blades, one of which is fixed to the opening and the other to the frame. One of these blades is divided into two parts: a fixing plate intended to be attached to the joinery and an intermediate blade, which is provided with hinge means for cooperating with complementary articulation means of the other blade of this hinge.

More particularly, the fixing plate comprises a transverse recess for receiving, by sliding, the intermediate blade, knowing that, this interlocking completed, it is necessary to turn a knob to come to immobilize said blade in this mounting plate.

GB-13 751 discloses a hinge consisting of two blades hinged relative to one another, one of these blades having an opening for the passage of fasteners for the to make solidarity with the joinery, while the other blade is provided with nipples in the form of mushrooms adapted to cooperate with openings in the form of buttonholes, made in particular at a metal frame frame.

It is also described in DE-609 667 a hinge of very great length, called piano. It consists of two blades in the form of bars each comprising a multitude of sockets staggered with respect to the sleeves of the adjacent blade and traversed by a rod defining the axis of articulation. One of these blades is provided, by cutting, with a plurality of tongues for cooperating with openings formed in correspondence in a fixing plate.

The manner of approaching the problem according to the invention has made it possible to envisage, in the event of a recess of the opening of its sleeping frame, having to print on this opening a displacement which is of an amplitude strictly dependent on the function opens-dormant link and not the function of articulation.

Note, in this regard, that the hinge means can borrow configurations strictly identical to those present so that it remains possible to connect the movable part of a hinge fitting to the fixed part by means of these means of articulation. This can be particularly practical at the moment when the joiner comes to associate these different parts of the hinge fitting, on one side, on the frame and, on the other, on an opening frame, at different manufacturing lines.

Thus, the present invention relates to a hinge fitting for a door, window or the like comprising a fixed part provided with hinge means intended to cooperate with complementary hinge means of a movable part provided adapted to be attached to the opening of said door, window or the like, said fixed part comprising rabbet fixing means of a fixed frame in the form of a fixing plate provided with a hooking opening for receiving a hook that comprises a support intermediate of which are integral with said articulation means, characterized in that:

• the hooking opening in the fixing plate is defined frustoconical shape in its lower part, the hook having a complementary shape so as to contribute to the transverse positioning of the intermediate support relative to said fixing plate (11);
• and that it comprises, in combination, locking means provided for, in the locked position, preventing the hook from disengaging from said fastening opening.
  The present invention will be better understood on reading the following description and in view of the attached drawings relating to one embodiment.

As shown in the figures of the accompanying drawings, the present invention relates to the field of hinge fittings for door, window or the like.

Such a hinge fitting 1 comprises a fixed part 2 and a movable part 3. The first is made integral by means of appropriate fastening means 4 rabbet 5 of the frame 6, here represented in the form of a single section profile, corresponding to a door, window or the like 7.

This fixed part 2 is further provided with articulation means 8 intended to cooperate with complementary articulation means 9 that the movable part 3 corresponding to this articulation fitting 1 and which is secured to the opening 10 corresponding to this door, window or the like 7.

The fastening means 4 rabbet 5 of the fixed frame 6 of the fixed part 2 can, of course, take different forms of embodiment.

Thus, according to the embodiment corresponding to the figures of the attached drawing, they consist of a mounting plate 11 provided, at its rear face 12, an anchoring shoe 13 of section adapted for its reception, in particular by clipping, in a groove 14 that usually has a frame 6 designed by assembling sections of metal type or synthetic material.

Such an anchoring shoe 13 can also receive prepositioning means in this groove 14 in the form, in particular, of anchoring pins 15 intended to cooperate with a side wall 16 of this groove 14 to ensure its immobility in translation in the latter , in particular until the engagement of the fixing screws 17 passing through openings 18 in the fixing plate 11 and said anchoring shoe 13 to be housed in the thickness of the fixed frame 6.

According to a particular embodiment, the fixing plate 11 and the anchoring shoe 13 are two distinct elements, the first being mounted using adjustment means 19, more particularly, an eccentric screw 20 on the second. Note, in this regard, that said mounting plate 11 may have at least one opening 21 engaging on a guide pad 22 associated with the anchor shoe 13 for guiding, when adjustments via the eccentric screw 20, the displacement of said fixing plate 11.

Thus, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, this cooperation between the opening (s) 21 and the guide stud (s) 22 makes it possible, during an intervention on the screw eccentric 20, to adjust the positioning of the fixing plate 11 in a direction parallel to the groove 14, parallel to the axis of pivoting of the opening 10.

As for the hinge means 8 they are illustrated here in the form of a ball joint 23 extending from a support base 24 perpendicular to the plane of the mounting plate 11 which it is secured.

In the embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2, the movable portion 3 of the hinge fitting 1 is provided adapted to take position in a recess 25 formed in the cover strip 26 which is equipped with the opening 10, this on the side 27 provided adapted to come against the frame against the frame 6, once the door or window 7 closed.

This moving part 3 is advantageously in the form of a housing 28 taking up position in this recess 25, inside which extends a bushing 29 corresponding to the complementary articulation means 9, thus provided adapted to receive the patella 23.

It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to this particular embodiment of the mobile part 3.

In fact, the particularity of the invention consists in that the hinge means 8 of the fixed part 2, in this case the ball 23, are integral with an intermediate support 30 having attachment means 31 provided suitable to cooperate with complementary fastening means 32 associated with the fastening means 4 in rabbet 5 of said fixed part 2. Moreover, locking means 33 are provided for, in the locked position, to prevent the fastening means 31 from being locked. to free from these complementary fastening means 32.

Substantially and outside the support base 24 which is secured to the ball 23, the intermediate support 30 is in the form of a flange 34 extending parallel to the fixing plate 11 so as to be applied on this last. On the rear face 35, facing this fixing plate 11, this flange 34 comprises a hook 36 designed to engage and cooperate with a hooking opening 37 provided for this purpose in this fixing plate 11.

In particular, the hooking aperture 37 is defined frustoconically in its lower part 38, while the hook 36 has a complementary shape, so as to contribute to the transverse positioning of this intermediate support 30 relative to to said fixing plate 11. In this regard, it should be noted that the flange 34 can be provided on its rear face 35 and at its lateral edges 39, 40 with lateral retaining flanges 41 intended to cooperate with the side edges 42 of the mounting plate 11.

Preferably, in the case of a joinery whose frame 6 is defined by metal or plastic profiles and therefore having a groove 14 in groove 14, the opening 37 in the fixing plate 11 is located to the right of this groove 14, while the hook 36 is extended so as to extend in the latter. If one now imagines the hooking aperture 37 and therefore the width hook 36 fitted to this groove 14, the assembly creates an anchorage of very good mechanical strength compared to the joinery.

As for the locking means 33, they are, according to a preferred embodiment, in the form of a pivot 43 mounted in rotation braked at the mounting plate 11 and having an eccentric head 44 which, as the case may be, is able to extend or not in front of the wing 34 of the intermediate support 30 once it hooked on said mounting plate 11.

At its edge 45 opposite this pivot 43 and thus the eccentric head 44, the flange 34 may have a recess 46 on its front face 47, opposite to the mounting plate 11 to precisely receive in part this eccentric head 44 in the locking position.

Therefore, when it is appropriate, for maintenance or other reasons, to unhook the opening 10 of its frame 6, it is sufficient to rotate the pivot 43 so as to disengage its head 44 in front of the wing 34 At this moment the intermediate support 30 and therefore the opening 10 can be lifted so as to disengage the hook 36 from the hooking opening 37. It should be noted in particular that the amplitude of this movement can be very small in the as the hooking height 48 of the hook 36 in the hooking aperture 37 can be low while offering the assembly a perfect mechanical strength.

Obviously, this manipulation is particularly simple, knowing, moreover, that this recess of the opening 10 relative to the frame 6 does not bring into play the articulated connection between the fixed part 2 and the movable part 3 the hinge fitting 1.

As is apparent from the foregoing description, the present invention responds advantageously to the problem.

Claims (5)

1. Hinge fitting for a door, window or the like, including a fixed portion (2) provided with hinging means (8) aimed at co-operating with complementary hinging means (9) of a movable portion mobile (3) designed capable of being inserted against the leaf (10) of said door, window or the like (7), said fixed portion (2) including means for fastening (4) in the fillister (5) of a sash-frame (6) in the form of a fastening plate (11) provided with a coupling opening (37) for receiving a hook (36) an intermediate support (30) said hinging means (8) are integral with includes, characterised in that:

   the coupling opening (37) in the fastening plate (11) is defmed of a truncated shape in its lower portion (38), the hook (36) including a complementary shape so as to be capable of contributing to positioning transversely the intermediate support (30) with respect to said fastening plate (11) ;

   and in that it includes, in combination, locking means (33) designed so as to impede, in locked position, the hook (36) from releasing from said coupling opening (37).
2. Hinge fitting according to claim 1, characterised in that the intermediate support (30) includes a wing (34) extending parallel to the fastening plate (11) and including, at the level of its rear face (35), said hook (36).
3. Hinge fitting according to claim 2, characterised in that the wing (34) is provided, on its rear face (35) and at the level of its side edges (39, 40), with lateral maintaining rims (41) aimed at co-operating with the side edges (42) of the fastening plate (11).

Hinge fitting according to claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the locking means (33) are in the form of a pivot (43) rotationally mounted at the level of the fastening plate (11) and including an eccentric head (44), which, as the case may be, is capable of extending or not before the wing (34) of the intermediate support (30) once it has been hooked in on said fastening plate (11).
5. Hinging fitting according to claim 3, characterised in that the wing (34) of the intermediate support (30) includes, at the level of its edge (45) in front of the pivot (43), a recess (45) in the front face (47) opposite the fastening plate (11), for partially receiving the eccentric head (44) in locked position.
