Abstract

The strike plate (4) is intended to be positioned in a groove (7) made in the rabbet (2,3) of a door frame. It is formed fro shoe (18) adjusted to the opening section in the groove. The invention relates to a striker type fitting, intended to take position, to be fixed in a groove formed in a rabbet of an opening frame or a door frame, window or the like, according to the preamble of the claim 1.

The invention also relates to a frame or frame of a door, window or the like intended to receive such a fitting.

The present invention relates to the field of building hardware, particularly that of fittings or parts of fittings intended to equip a door, window or the like.

Such doors, windows or the like comprise, firstly, a frame and, secondly, an opening comprising a frame. In fact, the uprights and / or crosspieces of said frame and / or chassis have, in most cases, a groove rabbet, which is capable of receiving a fitting, including locking and / or articulation. It is then a question of positioning and fixing this fitting on and / or in such a groove which is achieved by means of appropriate positioning and fixing means.

It will be noted that it is customary to set up such a fitting during manufacture of a door, window or the like. However, when mounting on site it often finds that the position of the fitting in the groove prevents its operation optimally. This results, for example, a bad setting of the frame opening inside the frame during transport or appears due to a deformation of the latter and / or the opening frame. Such deformation may be due to various causes, including the conditions of transport, storage and / or handling.

It is then necessary to disassemble and reposition the fitting in said groove.

Such a problem has already been solved in the state of the art by ensuring, during the manufacture of the door, window or the like, a prepositioning of said rabbet fitting of the opening and / or of the fixed frame allowing, in case if necessary, a subsequent repositioning during assembly on site.

Thus, it is known to make special arrangements in the form of a reservation or a notch at the uprights and / or sleepers in which said fitting is able to be positioned. In fact, during the definitive establishment of the door, window or the like, it is then possible to adjust the position of said fitting in two different ways.

A first solution is to enlarge the reservation. To do this, it is necessary to have a particular tool adapted to resume the rabbet of the frame and / or frame of the opening. In addition, it will be observed that such a recovery is often unsightly.

A second solution is to leave said reservation in the state, but to use a fitting of a particular type. This then comprises a fixed support permanently engaged in the groove, on this support is able to be moved the body of said fitting. It will be noted that the latter is then of relatively complex design and, here again, has a particularly unsightly appearance when the door, window or the like is open.

Finally, it should be added to the list of the aforementioned drawbacks, the fact that the two previous solutions require, for their implementation, qualified personnel performing adjustment operations for the final positioning of the fitting.

In the case of a door or window whose dormant frame and / or the opening frame comprises, in rabbet, a groove, often in "T", intended, in particular, for the reception of such fittings, these are often provided with means fixing in said groove allowing, effectively, a rear adjustment of these fittings, but pose the problem of the prepositioning of the latter during manufacture of said door or window. Also, it is known in the prior art to use templates. These can be of different types, the first of which is relative to a fixed template of fixed length. The establishment of all fittings for equipping a door, window or the like, then requires the use of several of these templates. The second type relates to adjustable templates requiring particularly delicate handling and being likely to cause a number of errors in this prepositioning hardware.

Furthermore, document DE-A-195 023 62 discloses a door-like hardware, window or the like, whose fixed frame and / or the opening frame have a rebate of their uprights and / or sleepers, a groove for the reception of such a fitting. Along this groove is made a reservation defining at its side walls recesses of semi-cylindrical shape. Such a reservation, perfectly centered with respect to the groove, is provided to receive semi-cylindrical bosses extending on either side of a shoe, under the fitting, intended to take position in said groove. As is apparent, moreover, from the description of this prior document, reservations, defining additional indexing means provided for cooperating with means indexing corresponding to said striker, are delicate machining and are necessarily visible rabbet of the frame or the opening frame. Thus, it is noted in this description that such a reservation must be perfectly centered, and therefore of symmetrical configuration with respect to the median axis of the groove.

The present invention proposes, precisely, to remedy this machining problem of a reservation coming to encroach on the lateral edges of such a groove and which, in certain cases, can weaken the latter, in particular if it is bordered, at its mouth, by returns of hanging.

It is, moreover, to note that the solution as described in this prior document does not allow to consider the repositioning of the striker along the groove unless resume, substantially, the machining of the reservation, even to make a new reservation a little higher or a little lower than the previous one.

The present invention is intended to provide a solution to the aforementioned problems.

To this end, the invention relates to a door-type fitting, intended to take position, to be fixed in a groove formed in rabbet of an opening frame or door frame, window or the like, comprising, in combination, at least one shoe adjusted to the opening opening section in the groove for its housing therein, this shoe receiving indexing means provided to cooperate with complementary indexing means at the groove to ensure the proper positioning of said fitting along the latter, said indexing means being in the form of at least one stud extending under said shoe, said defined state pin adapted to cooperate with indexing means complementary formed in groove bottom.

According to an advantageous embodiment, said pin extends under said shoe to be housed in an opening, of adjusted section, formed in the bottom of the groove.

Preferably, this stud is breakable nature for the positioning of the fitting along the groove.

According to the invention, the shoe receives, laterally, locating lugs, in the form of pins or the like intended to cooperate with the return hooking of the groove to ensure the longitudinal immobilization in the latter of the fitting.

The invention also relates to an opening frame or door frame, window or the like having a rabbet in which is formed a groove for receiving the fitting as defined above, an opening being provided in the bottom of the groove for the reception of a stud is substantially in the median plane of this groove.

Advantageously, the bottom of the groove is reinforced, on its opposite side to the latter, by two longitudinal flanges extending parallel and on either side of the median plane with a spacing substantially corresponding to the section of a nipple. .

The advantages deriving from the present invention consist in that a bracket, of the striker type, can take a particularly simplified configuration while presenting the characteristics necessary to facilitate its prepositioning along a groove formed in a rebate of a sash or frame dormant, door, window or the like. In addition, through its shoe extending integrally in the groove, on the one hand, and indexing means which, beyond this shoe, extend into the bottom of the groove, other On the other hand, such a type or strike fitting wins, considerably in resistance to tearing. The invention relates to the field of building hardware, especially lock fittings and / or articulation for fitting a door, window or the like.

In fact, such a door, window 1 or the like comprises a frame on which is mounted slidably, swinging or tilt-and-turn, at least one opening frame 2, 3.

In this regard, it has been shown in Figure 1, a window 1 whose opening is composed of two leaves 2, 3, one 3 coming, when closing the window 1, fall back on the other 2 still called beat. In this regard, it should be noted that the present invention is particularly applicable to the case where the frame or the opening frame 2 receiving the fitting 4 is constituted by an assembly of posts and sleepers PVC, aluminum or the like, having in rabbet 6 a groove 7 often shaped "T".

Thus, such a groove 7 is delimited, usually, by a bottom 8 and two side walls 9, 10, extending substantially parallel to the plane 11 of the frame and / or the opening frame 2. Frequently, again, these side walls 9 , 10 comprise, at their free ends, a return 12, 13 parallel to the bottom 8, delimiting, ultimately, an access opening 14 to the groove 7 of width 1 less than the internal width L of the latter.

In the end, such a "T" -shaped groove 7 is usually intended to receive several types of fittings such as striker, hinge support or the like, comprising, precisely, positioning means 16, as well as means for fixing 17 on and / or in such a groove 7.

As already indicated above, the fitting 4 illustrated by way of example in the figures of the attached drawing, is in the form of a striker, taking into account that the present invention is not limited to such a form of production.

Anyway, the positioning means 16 of the fitting 4 in the groove 7 are in the form of a shoe 18 extending under the bracket 4 and receiving indexing means 19 provided to cooperate with complementary indexing means 20 formed at the bottom 8 of the groove 7 and provided to ensure the prepositioning of said bracket 4 along the latter.

According to the invention, said indexing means 19 are defined by at least one stud 21 extending under the shoe 18, perpendicularly to the bottom 8 corresponding to the groove 7 and in which an opening 22 fitted to the this stud 21 and defining the complementary indexing means 20.

Finally, and as can be seen in FIG. 3, it is sufficient, at the time of fitting the fitting 4, to ensure the prepositioning of the latter by finding, by means of the stud 21, the corresponding opening 22 pre-machined in the groove 7, before inserting completely into the latter the shoe 18 of this bracket 4.

In particular, the height of said shoe 18 is determined substantially equal to or only slightly less than the depth of the groove 7, so as to increase the seat in the latter, the fitting 4 and, finally, the tear resistance. of the latter under the action of a thrust that would be applied perpendicularly to the plane 11.

Finally, in a design as described above and coming to exert on the fitting 4 a pressure perpendicular to its median plane, the shearing action of the bottom 8 of the groove 7 on the pin 21 is exerted at the junction even of the latter with the shoe 18 is at a place where its resistance is the most important.

Preferably, the opening 22 for receiving a pin 21 is substantially in the median plane M of this groove 7, while the longitudinal edges 26, 27 extend, on the side 25 of the bottom 8, in parallel and on either side of this median plane M with a spacing substantially corresponding to the section 28 of said stud 21.

Such fastening means 17 may be further defined by at least one locating pin 29 arranged on at least one of the lateral sides 30 of the shoe 18 in such a way as to anchor itself. in the thickness of the return hooks 12, 13 delimiting the access opening 14 in the groove 7.

Preferably, such positioning pins 29, in the form of pins or the like, are chamfered at their end with respect to the groove 7 so as to facilitate the engagement of the shoe 18 in the latter and their insertion between said return snaps 12 , 13.

Finally, through the features of the present invention, it satisfies the problem encountered in the state of the art.

Claims (9)

Striker to be placed in a groove (7), in order to be secured in it, provided for in the fillister of a leaf (2, 3) or a door- or window-frame or the like (1), including, in combination, at least one shoe (18) adapted to the cross-section of the access opening (14) in the groove (7) for its accommodation in the latter, this shoe (18) receiving indexing means (19) designed capable of co-operating with complementary indexing means (20) at the level of the groove (7), in order to ensure the proper positioning of said striker (4) along the latter, characterised in that said indexing means (19) are in the form of at least one stud (21) extending under said shoe (18), said stud (21) being designed capable of co-operating with complementary indexing means (20) provided for in the bottom of the groove (7).
2. Striker according to claim 1, characterised in that said stud (21) extending under said shoe (18) is aimed at being accommodated in an opening (22) with an adjusted cross-section provided for in the bottom (8) of the groove (7).
3. Striker according to any of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the height of the shoe (18) is defined substantially equal or slightly smaller than the depth of the groove (7).
4. Striker according to claim 2, characterised in that said stud (21) is designed of a shearable type, in order to allow re-positioning the striker (4) along the groove (7).
5. Striker according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that it includes fastening means (17) in the form of a fastening screw passing through an opening (23) provided for in a proper way in said striker (4), in order to co-operate with a passage (24) in the bottom (8) of the groove (7).

Striker according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that it includes fastening means (17) in the form of a positioning pin (29) provided for at least at one of the sides (30) of the shoe (18) so as to be capable of anchoring into the thickness of coupling bends (12, 13) delimiting the access opening (14) in the groove (7).
7. Striker according to claim 6, characterised in that the positioning pins (29) are in the form of spurs or the like bevelled at their end (31) in front of the groove (7), so as to facilitate the insertion of the shoe (18) into the latter and their insertion between said coupling bends (12, 13).
