Abstract

The strike plate (4) is intended to be positioned in a groove (7) made in the rabbet (2,3) of a door frame. It is formed fro shoe (18) adjusted to the opening section in the groove. Description

The invention relates to a strike type fitting, intended for take position, to be fixed, in a groove made in rebate of an opening frame or a door frame, window or the like according to the preamble of claim 1.

The present invention relates to the field of hardware building, more particularly that of fittings or parts of fittings for fitting a door, window or the like.

Such doors, windows or the like, comprise, on the one hand, a sleeping frame and, on the other hand, an opening comprising a frame. In fact, the uprights and / or the crosspieces of said frame frame and / or chassis are, in most cases, in rebate, a groove which is likely to receive a fitting, in particular locking and / or articulation. he it is then a question of positioning and fixing this fitting on and / or in such a groove which is achieved by means of proper positioning and fixing.

Note that it is customary to set up such a fitting during the manufacturing of a door, window or similar. However, during assembly on site, often finds that the position of the fitting in the groove prevents its optimal functioning. This results, for example, of a bad timing of the chassis opening to inside the frame during transport or appears next to a deformation of the latter and / or of the opening frame. A such deformation can be due to various causes, in particular transport, storage and / or handling conditions.

It is then necessary to disassemble and reposition the fitting in said groove.

Such a problem has already been resolved in the state of the art in ensuring, during the manufacture of the door, window or analogous, a prepositioning of said rebate fitting of the opening and / or the frame allowing, if necessary, subsequent repositioning during assembly on site.

Thus, it is known to make special arrangements in the form of a reservation or tapping at the level of uprights and / or sleepers in which said fitting is able to be positioned. In fact, when setting up definitive of the door, window or the like, it is then possible to adjust the position of said fitting by two different ways.

A first solution is to enlarge the reservation. For to do this it is necessary to have a tool individual able to take up the rebate of the sleeping frame and / or of the opening frame. Furthermore, it will be observed that such recovery is often unsightly.

A second solution consists in leaving said reservation in state, but to use a fitting of a particular type. This then includes a fixed support permanently engaged in the groove, on this support is able to be moved the body of said fitting. Note that the latter is then relatively complex design and again, a particularly unsightly appearance when the door, window or the like is open.

Finally, it should be added to the list of drawbacks mentioned above, the fact that the two previous solutions require, for their implementation, qualified personnel performing adjustment operations for positioning final fitting.

In the case of a door or window whose frame and / or opening frame have, in rebate, a groove, often in “T”, intended, in particular, for the reception of such fittings, these are often provided with fixing means in said groove effectively allowing adjustment of these fittings, but raise the problem of prepositioning of the latter during the manufacture of said door or window. Also, it is known in the art previous, to use templates. These can be of different types, the first of which relates to a fixed gauge of determined length. The establishment of all the fittings intended to equip a door, window or the like, then requires the use of more than one of these templates. The second type concerns adjustable templates requiring particularly delicate handling and being likely to cause a number of errors in this prepositioning of fittings.

Furthermore, document DE-A-195 023 62 describes a fitting of the strike type for door, window or the like, including the frame frame and / or the opening frame have rebate of their uprights and / or crosspieces, a groove intended for the receipt of such a fitting. Along this groove is made a reservation defining at the level of its walls lateral of the semi-cylindrical recesses. Such a reservation, perfectly centered with respect to the groove, is designed to receive semi-cylindrical bosses extending, on both sides, a shoe, under the fitting, intended to take position in said groove. As is evident, by elsewhere, from the description of this previous document, the reservations, defining means of indexing complementary planned to cooperate with means indexing corresponding to said strike, are machining delicate and are necessarily visible in the rebate of the frame frame or opening frame. So, we note in this description that such a reservation must be perfectly centered, and therefore, of symmetrical configuration with respect to the center line of the groove.

The present invention proposes, precisely, to remedy this problem with machining a reservation that encroaches on lateral edges of such a groove and which, in certain cases, can weaken the latter, especially if it is bordered, at its mouth, by hooking returns.

It should be noted, moreover, that the solution such as described in this previous document does not allow to consider the repositioning the strike along the groove within substantially resume the machining of the reservation, or even make a new reservation a little higher or a little lower from the previous one.

The present invention aims to provide a solution to above problems.

To this end, the invention relates to a fitting, of the keeper type, intended to take position, to be fixed there, in a groove formed in the rebate of an opening frame or sleeping frame of door, window or the like, comprising, in combination, at least a shoe adjusted to the section of the access opening in the groove for its housing in the latter, this shoe receiving indexing means provided capable of cooperating with additional indexing means provided at the level of the groove to guarantee the correct positioning of said fitting on along the latter, said indexing means associated with the shoe being defined capable of cooperating with means additional indexing formed at the bottom of the groove.

According to an advantageous embodiment, the indexing means are in the form of at least one stud extending under said shoe to come to be housed in an opening, of section fitted, formed in the bottom of the groove.

Preferably, these indexing means in the form of at less than one nipple are breakable in nature for repositioning of hardware along the groove.

According to the invention also, the shoe receives, laterally, positioning pins, in the form of pins or the like intended to cooperate with the catching return of the groove to guarantee the longitudinal immobilization in the latter of hardware.

The advantages of the present invention consist of what a hardware, of the type striker, can borrow a particularly simplified configuration while presenting the characteristics necessary to facilitate its prepositioning along a rebate groove opening or sleeping frame, door, window or the like. Of more, through its hoof extending fully into the groove, on the one hand, and indexing means which, beyond this shoe, come to extend in the bottom of the groove, else hand, such a fitting or striker, wins, considerably in resistance to tearing. So under the action of a force which would be applied to it, for example, by the organ lock that such a strike is likely to accommodate, action corresponding, for example, to an attempted break-in, it cannot unexpectedly disengage from the "T" groove.

The invention relates to the field of building hardware, more particularly locking fittings and / or hinges intended to equip a door, window or similar.

In fact, such a door, window 1 or the like has a sleeping frame on which is slidably mounted, swing or tilt-turn, at least one opening frame 2, 3.

In this connection, a window has been shown in FIG. 1. 1 whose opening is made up of two leaves 2, 3, one 3 coming, when closing window 1, fall back on the other 2, also known as beat. In such configuration, this beat identified, in the rest of the more generic description, like an opening frame 2, usually receives one, often several, fittings 4 in the form of strikes intended to cooperate with a locking 5, such as a roller as shown here, controlled by a locking fitting, for example, a cremone bolt, associated with the other leaf (opening frame 3).

It will already be observed that the present invention is not in no way limited to such a configuration where the fitting 4 is associated with an opening frame 2, in addition such a fitting, under waste form can still take up a position on the rebate of a sleeping frame of such a door, window or the like.

In this regard, it should be noted that the present invention particularly applies to the case where the frame or the opening frame 2 receiving the fitting 4 is constituted by a assembly of uprights and crosspieces in PVC, aluminum or similar, having in rabbet 6 a groove 7 often in "T" shape.

Thus, such a groove 7 is usually delimited by a bottom 8 and two side walls 9, 10, extending substantially parallel to the plane 11 of the frame and / or the opening frame 2. Frequently, these side walls 9 again , 10 comprise, at the height of their free ends, a return 12, 13 parallel to the bottom 8, delimiting, ultimately, an access opening 14 to this groove 7 of width l less than the internal width L of the latter.

Ultimately, such a "T" shaped groove 7 is usually intended to receive several types of fittings such as keeper, articulation support or the like, comprising, precisely, positioning means 16, as well as fastening means 17 on and / or in such a groove 7.

As already indicated above, the fitting 4 illustrated as example in the figures of the attached drawing, is presented under form of a keeper, taking into account that the present invention is not in no way limited to such an embodiment.

Anyway, the positioning means 16 of the fitting 4 in groove 7 is in the form of a shoe 18 extending under this fitting 4 and receiving means indexing 19 provided able to cooperate with means additional indexing 20 provided at the bottom 8 of groove 7 and provided capable of guaranteeing the prepositioning of said fitting 4 along the latter.

In particular, said indexing means 19 are defined by at least one stud 21 extending under the shoe 18, either perpendicular to the bottom 8 corresponding to the groove 7 and in which is made an opening 22 adjusted to the section of this stud 21 and defining the indexing means complementary 20.

Finally and as seen in Figure 3, there suffices, when fitting the fitting 4, to ensure the prepositioning of the latter by coming to find, at by means of the stud 21, the corresponding opening 22 pre-machined in groove 7, before fully inserting it shoe 18 of this fitting 4.

In particular, the height of said shoe 18 is determined substantially equal to or barely less than the depth of the groove 7, this so as to increase the seat in this last, fitting 4 and ultimately resistance to the tearing of the latter under the action of a push which it would be applied perpendicular to the plane 11.

Ultimately, in a design as described previously and coming to exert pressure on the fitting 4 perpendicular to its median plane, the shearing action from the bottom 8 of the groove 7 on the stud 21 is exerted at the junction even of the latter with the shoe 18 either at a place where its resistance is the most important.

This does not preclude defining the means of indexing 19, under shape of a nipple 21, of breakable nature to allow, if necessary if necessary, the repositioning of the fitting 4 along the said groove 7. Such repositioning may indeed prove to be necessary over time due, for example, to sagging of an opening frame relative to its frame sleeping.

As for the fixing means 17, they can be defined under form of a fixing screw coming through an orifice 23 adequately arranged in the fitting 4 to cooperate there again, with the bottom 8 of the groove 7.

It will be noted, in particular, that at the right of this passage 24 of the fixing screw, this bottom 8, on its side 25 opposite to said groove 7 can be reinforced by two longitudinal edges parallels 26, 27 coming, in a way, to increase, locally, the thickness of material corresponding to this bottom 8, to favor the catch of the thread of a possible screw fixing, taking into account, as visible in figures 1 and 3, that this results, again, in better retention of the nipple 21.

Preferably, the opening 22 for the reception of a nipple 21 is located substantially in the median plane M of this groove 7, while the longitudinal edges 26, 27 extend, on the side 25 of the bottom 8, parallel and apart and other of this median plane M with a corresponding spacing, substantially, in section 28 of said stud 21.

Such fastening means 17 can also be defined by at at least one positioning lug 29 formed on at least one of the lateral sides 30 of the shoe 18 so as to be anchored in the thickness of the hooking returns 12, 13 delimiting the access opening 14 in the groove 7.

Preferably, such positioning pins 29, under shaped like pins or the like, are chamfered at their ends with regard to the groove 7 so as to facilitate the engagement of the shoe 18 in the latter and their insertion between said attachment returns 12, 13.

Finally through the characteristics of this invention it comes to answer, advantageously, the problem encountered in the state of the art.

Claims (9)

Strike type fitting, intended to take position, to be fixed in a groove (7) formed in the rebate of a opening frame (2, 3) or door, window or window frame analog (1), comprising, in combination, at least one shoe (18) fitted to the access opening section (14) in the groove (7) for its housing in the latter, this shoe (18) receiving means of indexing (19) provided capable of cooperating with additional indexing means (20) at the level of the groove (7) to guarantee the correct positioning of said fitting (4) along the latter, characterized in that that said indexing means (19) associated with the shoe (18) are defined able to cooperate with indexing means complementary (20) formed at the bottom (8) of groove (7). Fitting according to claim 1, characterized in that that the indexing means (19) are in the form of at at least one stud (21) extending under said shoe (18) to come be housed in an opening (22), of adjusted section, formed in the bottom (8) of the groove (7).
