Abstract

The fitting (15), e.g. catch plate or hinge support for a door or window with a groove in a vertical or cross member of its fixed or opening frame, has positioning (16) and fixing (17) elements to engage with the groove. The positioning element incorporates a marker (20) designed to ensure a pre-positioning of the fitting by engaging with a matching marker in the frame groove. The markers can be detachable, e.g. by breaking them off, so that the position of the fitting can be adjusted independently along the groove.

Description

The invention relates to a strike-type fitting, support hinge or other, for door, window or the like, of which the sleeping frame and / or the frame of the opening rebate of their uprights and / or crosses a groove intended, in particular, for the reception of such a fitting, the latter comprising positioning and fixing means on and / or in such a groove.

The present invention relates to the field of hardware building, more particularly that of fittings or parts of fittings for fitting a door, window or the like.

Such doors, windows or the like, comprise, on the one hand, a sleeping frame and, on the other hand, an opening comprising a frame. In fact, the uprights and / or the crosspieces of said frame frame and / or chassis are, in most cases, in rebate, a groove which is likely to receive a fitting, in particular locking and / or articulation. he it is then a question of positioning and fixing this fitting on and / or in such a groove which is achieved by means of proper positioning and fixing.

Such a state of the art is particularly described in document DE-U-92 16 213. Thus, in this document it is refers to a keeper that can be attached to the level a groove in the rebate of a type of carpentry door, window or the like. This strike has a base intended to come to apply on said groove, under this base and at each of its ends extending from the tongues defining means for transverse positioning of said strikes along this groove. Fastening means, under form of screw passing through the keeper to be housed in the thickness of the profile corresponding to the joinery, ensure the connection of said striker at the level of the latter.

Note that it is customary to set up such a fitting during the manufacturing of a door, window or similar. However, during assembly on site, often finds that the position of the fitting in the groove prevents its optimal functioning. This results, for example, of a bad timing of the chassis opening to inside the frame during transport or appears next to a deformation of the latter and / or of the opening frame. A such deformation can be due to various causes, in particular transport, storage and / or handling conditions. It is then necessary to disassemble and reposition the fitting in said groove.

Such a problem has already been resolved in the state of the art in ensuring, during the manufacture of the door, window or analogous, a prepositioning of said rebate fitting of the opening and / or the frame allowing, if necessary, subsequent repositioning during assembly on site.

Thus, it is known to make special arrangements in the form of a reservation or tapping at the level of uprights and / or sleepers in which said fitting is able to even be positioned. In fact, when setting final place of the door, window or the like, it is then possible to adjust the position of said fitting by two different ways.

A first solution is to enlarge the reservation. For to do this it is necessary to have a tool individual able to take up the rebate of the sleeping frame and / or of the opening frame. Furthermore, it will be observed that such recovery is often unsightly.

A second solution consists in leaving said reservation in condition but to use a fitting of a particular type. This then includes a fixed support permanently engaged in the groove, on this support is able to be moved the body of said fitting. Note that the latter is then relatively complex design and again, a particularly unsightly appearance when the door, window or the like is open.

Finally, it should be added to the list of drawbacks mentioned above, the fact that the two previous solutions require, for their implementation, qualified personnel performing adjustment operations for positioning final fitting.

In the case of a door or window whose frame and / or opening frame comprises, in rebate, a groove, often in "T", intended, in particular, for the reception of such fittings, these are often provided with fixing in said groove, which if they allow, indeed, a later adjustment of these fittings, they pose the problem of the prepositioning of the latter during the manufacture of said door or window. Also, it is known in the prior art to make call for templates. These can be of different types of which the first relates to a fixed length gauge determined. The installation of all fittings intended to equip a door, window or the like, then requires the use of several of these templates. The second type relates to adjustable templates requiring manipulation particularly delicate and being likely to cause a number of errors in this prepositioning of fittings.

The present invention is intended to solve the problems encountered in the devices of the prior art and mentioned above.

To this end, the invention relates to a strike type fitting, hinge or other support, for door, window or similar, comprising positioning and fixing means on and / or in a groove, characterized in that the said positioning means include indexing means capable of ensuring the prepositioning of said fitting along of such a groove, these indexing means being, in addition, provided for retractable nature, in particular breakable to allow a later adjustment of the fitting along said groove.

The invention also relates to a door, window or the like of which the sleeping frame and / or the opening frame comprise, in rebate of their uprights and / or crosspieces, a groove intended, in particular, for the reception of a fitting according to the invention, characterized in that in said groove additional means of indexing are used able to cooperate with the indexing means corresponding to means for positioning said fitting to ensure the prepositioning of the latter along this groove.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the means additional indexing formed in the groove present in the form of reservations, in particular in the form circular, produced during the production of the frame and / or the opening frame.

In fact, it will be observed that only the means of indexing are retractable nature so as to allow the repositioning of the fitting on the frame and / or the opening frame.

As for the additional indexing means, these are present in the form of reservations made once for all during the manufacture and assembly of this frame frame and / or opening frame.

Thus, during the manufacture of the door, window or the like, the prepositioning of the fitting can be done in such a way than normal, and in the event that the door, window or analog would not be distorted, cooperation between said fitting and its complementary locking member and / or articulation would take place with maximum efficiency. Such a design advantageously allows and in the case the more favorable to install the door, window or similar, without having to make a later adjustment of the position of the fitting and therefore without intervening on the means indexing.

However, in the event of a mismatch between said fitting and its complementary organ, it is possible to reposition these last, one in relation to the other, by intervening only on the indexing means integral with said fitting without have to resume reservations. Such an intervention consists, then, in a first step, of retracting said means of indexing what can be done, in particular by proceeding removing the easily breakable portions which constitute them. Secondly, the fitting is replaced before the permanently fix in relation to the groove.

It will be noted that such a way of proceeding is reflected advantageously by a particularly simplified intervention for the editor, as well as an appreciable time saving.

Finally, it will be observed that, if over time and following the fatigue, wear etc., the fitting is no longer able to cooperate optimally with its locking member and / or additional articulation, it is easily possible to compensate for a lack or insufficient cooperation in simply moving said fitting inside the groove.

The invention relates to the field of hardware building, more specifically the manufacture of fittings locking and / or articulations intended to equip a door, window or the like.

In fact, such a door 1, window or the like has a sleeping frame 2 on which is slidably mounted, swing or tilt and turn, an opening frame 3.

It should be noted that the present invention applies more particularly in the case where such a sleeping frame 2 and the opening frame 3 are constituted by an assembly of uprights, respectively 4 and 5 and of sleepers, in particular in PVC, aluminum or the like, which have, in rebate 6, a groove 7 often in the shape of a "T".

Thus, such a groove 7 is usually delimited by a bottom 8 and two side walls 9, 10 extending substantially parallel to the plane 11 of the fixed frame 2 and / or of the opening frame 3. In addition, these side walls 9, 10, comprise, at their free end, a return 12, 13 parallel to the bottom 8 delimiting, ultimately, an access opening 14 to this groove 7 of width l less than the internal width L of the latter.

Ultimately, such a "T" shaped groove 7 is usually intended to receive one or more fittings 15 striker type, articulation support or the like comprising, precisely, positioning means 16 as well as fastening means 17 on and / or in such a groove 7.

As visible in Figures 1, 3 and 4, the fitting 15, here illustrated as an example, is in the form of a keeper formed at the level of the “T” groove 7 in rebate 6 of the sleeping frame 2, this keeper 18 being intended to cooperate with a complementary locking member 19 disposed at opening frame rebate 3.

It is understood, of course, that the present invention does not does not apply exclusively to such fittings in the form of strikes, but, in general, with all fittings intended to take a position in the rebate of doors or windows provided with a groove, in particular in “T”.

According to the invention, said positioning means 16 include indexing means 20 capable of ensuring, at when the door or window was made, the prepositioning of the fitting 15 along the groove 7, this with respect to additional indexing means 21 practiced in the latter. These indexing means 20 are, in addition, provided of a retractable nature, in particular breakable, for authorize a later adjustment of the fitting 15 along of said groove 7, independently of the indexing means complementary 21.

As shown in Figure 2, said means of additional indexing 21 are in the form of at minus a reservation 22 in particular of circular shape made preferably centered in relation to the opening access 14 in said groove 7.

In fact, such a reservation 22 has a diameter D which, while being greater than the width l of this access opening 14 of the groove 7, is preferably chosen to be less than or equal to the internal width L of the latter. This allows, in particular, not to unnecessarily cut the side walls 9, 10 of this groove 7.

As for the indexing means 20 which are provided for retractable, preferably breakable, they present themselves, advantageously, in the form of an annular rim 23 of section 24 adjusted to the diameter D of a reservation 22 and extending under a fitting 15, at the level of the lower face 25 of the latter intended to come into application on said groove 7.

Note that in this annular rim 23 are made one or several axial cutouts 26 capable of imparting to said means indexing 20 the shape of one or more tabs 27 arranged in a crown. In fact, such tabs 27, as well delimited and weakened by the axial cutouts 26, can be easily sectioned when it is necessary to reposition, later, said fitting 15.

As it appears more particularly, in Figures 3 and 4, the annular rim 23, in particular the tongues 27 extend from a recess 28 formed at this level underside 25 of said fitting 15.

In this regard, it should be noted that when breaking said tabs 27, it remains, at the level of the face lower 25 of the fitting 15, burrs which, if they were protruding, could prevent displacement of this fitting 15 along the groove 7. Ultimately, at through the recess 28, these burrs remain recessed by relative to this underside 25 of the fitting 15 coming in applies to groove 7.

Finally, as appears from the above description, the indexing means 20 associated with a fitting 15 and the additional indexing means 21 provided at the level of the rebate 6 of the frame 2 and / or of the opening frame 3 considerably facilitate the prepositioning of this fitting 15 on this sleeping frame 2 and / or on this opening frame 3 at the time of manufacturing and assembling a door, window or the like.

On the other hand, it will suffice, either later, for the fitter or the user, to withdraw the indexing means 20 to ensure the repositioning of this fitting 15.

In this regard, it should be noted that the means of positioning 16 fitted to such a fitting 15 are still supplemented by one or more positioning pins 30. These are prominent compared to the face lower 25 of fitting 15 and are adjusted to width 1 of the access opening 14 in the groove 7. In the end, such positioning pins 30 not only ensure the angular positioning of the fitting 15 along this groove 7, but also its centering relative to the latter in case of removal of indexing means 20. As visible in Figure 4 such positioning pins 30 can be provided on both sides with indexing means 20.

Note, moreover, that one or more of these positioning lugs 30 can receive, laterally, a slight protrusion, such as a pin or the like 31, so as to give them a width 32 adjusted tight to the width 1 of l 'access opening 14 in the groove 7. In fact, such pins 31 contribute to keeping the fitting 15 in position in this groove 7 before the fixing means 17 are put in place, such as a screw for example. It will be understood, of course, that these pins 31 have all their interest, mainly, during the repositioning of a fitting 15 and, therefore, devoid of indexing means 20.

Thus, during the manufacture of the door, window or the like 1, it is first carried out, at the level of the sleeping frame 2 and / or the opening frame 3, indexing means additional 21 in the form of reservations 22 at the the groove 7 formed in the rebate 6 of their uprights and / or sleepers. On and / or in the latter is prepositioned a fitting 15 thanks to these indexing means 20 before setting place fixing means 17.

When mounting the door, window or the like on site, it is carried out a verification of the optimal cooperation between this fitting 15 placed on the frame or the frame opening and the complementary member disposed, conversely, on the opening frame or sleeping frame. If necessary we resume the positioning of this fitting 15 and, for this, it is first removed from groove 7 so that we can section its indexing means 20 allowing, precisely, the repositioning of this fitting 15 throughout said groove 7.

As is apparent from the foregoing description, it is clear that the present invention has real advantages and brings significant progress compared to known fittings in the state of the art.

Claims (9)

1. Fitting for a door, window or the like, such as a keeper, a hinged support or the like, including means for positioning (16) and fastening (17) on and/or in a groove (7), characterised in that said positioning means (16) include indexing means (20) capable of ensuring the pre-positioning of said fitting (15) alongside said groove (7), these indexing means (20) being, in addition, designed so as to be withdrawable, namely shearable, in order to authorise a post-adjustment of the fitting (15) alongside said groove (7).
2. Fitting according to claim 1, characterised in that the indexing means (20) are in the form of an annular rim (23) extending under the fitting (15), at the level of the lower face (25) of the latter aimed at being applied against a groove (7).
3. Fitting according to claim 2, characterised in that in the annular rim (23) are provided for one or several axial cut-outs (26) capable of imparting to said indexing means (20) the shape of one or several tongues (27) arranged into a crown and being of a shearable nature.
4. Fitting according to claim 3, characterised in that the annular rim (23), in particular the tongues (27), extends from a recess (28) provided for at the level of the lower face (25) aimed at being applied against a groove (7) of the fitting (15).
5. Fitting according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the positioning means (16) are completed with one or several positioning pawls (30) protruding with respect to the lower face (25) of the fitting (15) and adjusted to the width (1) of the access opening in a groove (7).
6. Fitting according to claim 5, characterised in that one or several positioning pawls (30) laterally receive a slight excrescence, such as a pin or the like (31), so as to provide them a width (32) closely adjusted to the width (1) of the opening (14) of access to the groove (7).

Door, window or the like the sash-frame of which (2) and/or the door frame (3) of which include, in the fillister (6) of their stiles and/or rails, a groove (7) namely aimed at receiving a fitting (15) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that in said groove (7) are provided for complementary indexing means (21) designed so as to be capable of co-operating with the indexing means (20) corresponding to the positioning means (16) of said fitting (15), in order to ensure the pre-positioning of the latter alongside this groove (7).
8. Door, window or the like according to claim 7, characterised in that the complementary indexing means (21) provided for in the groove (7) are in the form of recesses (22), namely of a circular shape, provided for during the manufacture of the sash-frame (2) and/or of the door frame (3).

Door, window or the like according to claim 8, said groove (7) of which in the fillister (6) of a stile and/or a rail of a sash-frame (2) and/or of the door frame is T-shaped and delimited by a bottom (8) and two side walls (9, 10) extending substantially parallel to the plane (11) of the sash-frame (2) and/or of the door frame (3), these side walls (9, 10) including, at the level of their free end, a bend (12, 13) parallel to the bottom (8), delimiting an opening (14) of access to that groove (7) of a width (1) smaller than the inner width (L) of the latter, characterised in that a circularly shaped recess (22) has a diameter (D) that, while being larger than the width (1) of the opening (14) of access to that groove (7), is chosen smaller than or equal to the width (L) of the latter.
