  window or the like comprising a rod extending at the rear of a headrest and one end of which is capable of being projecting with respect to a corresponding end of said headrest in order to define a locking member capable of cooperating with a keeper, on this rod being capable of acting an organ

  The present invention relates to the field of building hardware and relates, in particular, to locks provided capable of being recessed in a rebate groove of a leaf,

  more particularly, a window with two leaves.

  In this regard, in the case of a window with two leaves hinged articulated on a sleeping frame without central mullion, one of these leaves, called service, is equipped with a locking fitting, very often a cremone bolt, while the rebate of its front upright overlaps the rebate of the front upright corresponding to the other leaf, said to be fixed. Under these conditions, it can only be ajar after having

  unlocked and pivoted the service leaf.

  In fact, the fixed leaf is also so-called insofar as it is associated, usually, with locking means in the form of one or more latches taking up the rebate position of its front upright. Connecting means connect this slider to said rod through one or more oblong openings in this headrest making it possible to reach the locking position and vice versa for unlocking. This control member can also be in the form of a lever pivotally mounted at the front of the headrest and which, after locking, comes to be erased by positioning in the

extension of the latter.

  In certain cases, this lock can be controlled through the locking fitting, in particular the cremone bolt fitted to the service leaf. In this case, the control member is defined capable of cooperating, window closed, with a driver that

  includes, in rebate, the front upright of this service leaf.

This lock, according to the invention, is also intended to be simplified to implement, either alone or in connection with other fittings on the same leaf and / or on an adjacent leaf, or even a sleeping frame. In particular, this simplicity of design makes it possible to envisage such a lock acting as an extension in the case of a

  application, for example of the bolt-lock type.

The present invention relates to a lock, various embodiments of which have been illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 11 of the attached drawings. Usually, such a lock 1 is provided capable of being embedded in a rebate groove of a window sash, window-door

or similar.

  Thus, it will find its usefulness in the case of windows with two leaves whose frame has no central mullion. Under these conditions, it takes position at the upper or lower end of a rabbet groove of the front upright corresponding to the so-called fixed leaf, as opposed to the so-called service leaf equipped with the locking fitting, in particular the cremone bolt or

Furthermore, according to another feature of the invention, the complementary fixing means 9A, 9B, 9C, 9D of the rod 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D substantially define the member.

  Furthermore, at this end 11 said headrest 3A also comprises, in addition to the fixing opening 8A, a retaining loop 12, defining, in the extension and above the front face 7 of this headrest 3A, an opening 13 section

adjusted to that of the rod 2A.

  In this regard, the latter comprises, as complementary fixing means 9A, an end portion 14 forming a step relative to its main plane, so as to be able to extend, passing through the rectangular light 10A in the headrest 3A, along the front face 7 of the latter, knowing that in the mounted position of said rod 2A its free end 15, opposite to that 4 forming a locking member, engages in the opening 13 of the retaining loop 12 at the end

11 of the headrest 3A.

  Furthermore, at this end portion 14 of the rod 2A, emerging from the front face 7 of this headrest 3A, a boss 16 is formed defining, substantially, the member for

command 6A.

  Along the rod 2A, there are, again, oblong openings 17 coming to be located at the right of holes 18 in the headrest 3A for the passage of fixing screws making it possible to make integral

the lock 1 of the joinery.

  Note that, in accordance with the invention, this lock 1 may be provided with indexing means 19 making it possible to identify the position of the rod 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D relative to the headrest 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, this more particularly in the locking and unlocking position. Substantially, in the embodiment corresponding to FIGS. 1 and 2, these indexing means 19 consist of a stud 20 made at the level of the rod 2A opposite the headrest 3A.   projecting from the front face 7 of the headrest 3B.

  In addition to the opening of fization 8B, the headrest 3B comprises at least one additional connecting member, in this case a rivet 23 passing through an oblong lumen 24B formed in the

  rod 2B and supplementing the additional fixing means 9B.

  Thus, this rivet 23, the head 25 of which is of diameter greater than the width of the oblong opening 24B, ensures the holding in a manner

  sliding from the rod 2B to the rear of the headrest 3B.

  As in the previous embodiment, at the level of this rod 2B can be formed one or more other oblong openings 17 in line with holes 18 in the headrest 3B for

the passage of fixing YiS.

  As for the indexing means 19, they are associated with the light OB in the headrest 3B, on the one hand, and at the free end

  B, folded square, of the rod 2B on the other hand.

  More particularly, said indexing means 19 consist at the level of this lumen lOB in end portions 26, 27 adjusted to the width of the rod 2B and separated by a middle portion 28 forming a constriction, therefore of

  width less than that of this rod 2B.

  The folded square end 15B of this rod 2B comprises, for its part and as visible in particular in the

  FIG. 5, cutouts 29 at the level of its lateral edges 30, 31.

  Thus, at the height of these cutouts 29, this end folded at right angle 15B of the rod 2B has a width 32 adjusted to the width of the middle portion 28 of the lumen lOB. Starting on either side of these cutouts 29, this end folded at right angle 15B of the rod 2B retains a width equal to that of the latter, ie a width adjusted to the passage of the end portions 26, 27 of this light lob. Also, when said cutouts 29 are located at the right of the lateral edges 33, 34 of this middle portion 28, this curved end 15B of the rod 2B can move freely along the light lOB to pass from the locked position to the unlocked position.   Figures 6 and 7 illustrate an embodiment which differs from that corresponding to Figures 3 to 5 in that such a rivet 23 completing the fixing and guide opening 8C is replaced by a T-hook 36 extending under the headrest 3C and on which the rod 2C hangs through its oblong slot 24C corresponding to the complementary fixing means 9C. More particularly, this T-shaped hook 36 in the headrest 3C results from a cutting operation by stamping the latter. Thus, this hook 36 comprises an axial branch 37 extending under the headrest 3C and of width adjusted to the width of the oblong slot 24C in the rod 2C allowing the latter to move freely from its locked position to its unlocked position . Furthermore, this T-shaped hook 36 ends in a transverse branch 38 extending substantially parallel under the headrest 3C. Furthermore, if it has a transverse length 39 greater than the width of said oblong slot 24C, its width 40, we in the axial direction of the headrest 3C, is defined, it, less than or equal to this width of said oblong slot 24C . This characteristic makes it possible to fit through this oblong slot 24C the rod 2C on the T-shaped hook 36 by first positioning this rod 2C substantially perpendicularly to the axis of the headrest 3C. At this instant, its free end folded back in a square 15C, with the characteristics identical to the free end 15B of the rod 2B corresponding to the embodiment of FIGS. 3 to 5, can be engaged in the lOC lumen of this headrest 3C. Again, the light 1OC is of identical configuration to the light 1OB of the headrest 3B of the mode of

realization described above.

  However, it is well understood that to obtain this engagement when, precisely, through the hook 36, the headrest 3C and the rod 2C are already held in application against one another, it is necessary that the latter and in particular, the rod 2C has sufficient elasticity to be able to move them apart at this free end folded back into a square 15C by a distance corresponding to the height thereof. Specifically, when the distance between the hook 36 and the light LOC is reduced, the bending which it is appropriate to print under these conditions on said rod 2C can cause its permanent deformation. Obviously this can cause malfunction of the lock, in particular of its means

indexing 19.

  In the context of the embodiment corresponding to FIGS. 8 to 11, this problem is solved by replacing such a T-hook 36 completing the fixing and guide opening 8D with at least one hooking clip 41 extending, there again, under the 3D headrest and onto which the 2D rod is snapped through its oblong light 24D corresponding to the means of

additional fixing 9D.

  More particularly, this attachment clip 41 results from a cutting operation by stamping said 3D headrest. I1 consists of a tongue 42 cut in the longitudinal axis of the latter. It is pushed back so as to protrude under this 3D headrest and has a transverse width 43 less than the width 44 of the light 24D to allow the engagement of the 2D rod on this tongue 42. The latter comprises, moreover, a distance 45 from the rear face of said 3D faceplate corresponding at least to the thickness 46 of the rod 2D, the lugs of lateral retainers 46 which give this tongue 42, at this level, a width 47 greater than that 44 of said 24D light in the 2D rod. Thus, the nesting of the latter, through its light 24D, on this tongue 42 is obtained slightly in force, the lateral branches 48, 49 of the 3D rod delimiting said light 24D having sufficient elasticity to pass through the retained lugs 46. Preferably, these are chamfered on their side 50 opposite the 3D headrest so as to facilitate this interlocking, while on their opposite side

  they form a step to prevent the dislocation of the 2D rod.

  Obviously, this attachment clip 41 can borrow many other embodiments. In particular, it can be defined in the form of an independent part capable of being rendered

  secured to the headrest by riveting, clipping or other.

  As is apparent from the above description, the present

  invention leads to locks that could not be more simple, which reduces, of course, the manufacturing cost, but also that of their assembly and mounting on a carpentry. claims   1. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the fixing and guiding opening (8A) is defined at the level of the headrest (3A) by a rectangular light (1OA) traversed by an end portion (14 ) corresponding to the rod (2A) and forming a step relative to the main plane of the latter so as to be able to extend along the front face (7) of said headrest (3), said end portion (14 ) forming the   additional fixing means (9A).   3. Lock according to claim 2, characterized in that at its end (11), opposite to that (5) with respect to which the rod (2A) is likely to be projecting, the headrest (3A) comprises, in addition to the fixing and guiding opening (8A), a retaining loop (12) defining, in the extension and above the front face (7) of said headrest (3A), an opening (13) of section adjusted for the passage of the free end (15), opposite to that (4) forming a   locking, of said rod (2A). 13 2834748   4. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the fixing and guiding opening (8B, 8C, 8D) at the level of the headrest (3B, 3C, 3D) consists of a rectangular light (1OB, lOC, 1OD), more particularly near its end (11) opposite to that (5) with respect to which the rod (2B, 2C, 2D) is likely to be projecting, the complementary fixing means (9B, 9C, 9D ) corresponding to the latter being defined by a free end (15B, 15C, 15D) folded at right angles so as to pass through the light (1OB, 1OC, 1OD) while being projecting relative to the front face (7) of the headrest (3B, 3C, 3D), this free end (15B, 15C, 15D) constituting,   substantially, the control member (6B, 6C, 6D).   6. Lock according to claim 5, characterized in that the headrest (3B) comprises at least one additional connecting member, more particularly a rivet (23), passing through an oblong lumen (24B) formed in the rod (2B) and complementing the means of fixing 9B).   7. Lock according to claim 5, characterized in that in addition to the fixing and guiding opening (8C) the headrest (3C) comprises at least one T-hook (36) S. extending under the latter and on which is able to hang the rod (2C) through an oblong light (24C) corresponding   to the additional fixing means (9C).   8.
