Claims (9)

1. Striker for a sliding wing of windows, doors or similar and that comporises a body (2), the bearing face (5) of which is mounted on the inner face of the casing, a holdfast (3) provided with catch faces (7, 8) that co-operate with the rear faces of the hooks of the bolt of the latch fitted to the wing, and means for bidirectional adjustment (15 to 20, 21, 26 to 31, 34) characterized in that the afore said bidiretional adjustment means (15 to 20, 21, 26 to 31, 34) are installed between the inner face of the casing and the bottom (14) of a recess (11) made in the bearing face (5) of the body (2) of the striker (1), and into which is sunk a fastening plate (21) fitted solidly to the inner face of the casing and that displays in its face (32) pointing towards the inner face of the casing, a rectangular recess (33) into which is sunk a rectangular securing nut (34) locked in rotation and provided with two tapped holes (39, 40) into which are screwed securing elements that traverse the body (2) of the striker (1) and the fastening plate (21) from one side to the other.

Striker according to claim 1, characterized in that the means that lock in rotation the recangular securing nut (34) are a guide stop (37) that projects in relation to one of the longitudinal walls (38) of the rectangular recess (33) of the fastening plate (21) and that co-operates with a port (36) made in one of the longitudinal edges (35) of the rectangular securing nut (34).

Striker according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that it comprises spaces (61, 62) that result from the respective difference between the heigts (57, 59) and the widths (58, 60) of the fastening plate (21) and the recess (11) of the body (2), with the width (63, 64) of these spaces (61, 62) corresponding with the amplitude of adjustment of the striker (1).

Striker according to claim 1, characterized in that the bottom (14) of the recess (11) of the bearing face (5) of the body (2) of the striker (1) comprises at least two zones (15, 16) of extended striae (18, 19) that co-operate, through interpenetration, with at least two zones (26, 27) of extended striae (29, 30) made in one of the faces (25) of the fastening plate (21).
5. Striker according to claim 4, characterized in that one of the zones (15, 26) comprises extended striae (18, 29) that are perpendicular to the extended striae (19, 30) of the other zone (16, 27).
6. Striker according to claim 4, characterized in that the fastening plate (21) comprises on its face (25) two zones (26, 28) of vertical extended striae (21, 31) arranged on both sides of the zone (27) of horizontal extended striae (30).
7. Striker according to claim 4, characterized in that the bottom (14) of the recess (11) of the body (2) comprises two zones (15, 17) of vertical extended striae (18, 20) arranged on both sides of the zone (15) of vertical extended striae (19).
8. Striker according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises spaces (69, 70) of a width (71, 72) that result from the respective difference between the height (65, 67) and the widths (66, 68) of the rectangular securing nut (34) and the recess (33) of the fastening plate (21), identical to that (63, 64) of the spaces (61, 62) that results from the respective difference between the heights (57, 59) and the widths (58, 60) of the fastening plate (21) and the recess (11) of the bearing face (5) of the body (2) of the striker (1) and a space (77) of a width (78) that results from the difference between the distance (73) that separates the two edges (74, 75) of the port (36) of the rectangular securing nut (34) and the height (76) of the guide stop (37) of the fastening plate (21), identical to that (64) of the space (62) that results from the difference between the height (57) of the fastening plate (21) and the height (59) of the recess (11) of the bearing face (5) of the body (2) of the striker (1).
9. Striker according to claim 1, characterized in that the fastening plate (21) comprises, at right angles from the passage of the securing elements, polygonal ports (43, 44), preferably in the shape of a square, the sides (55, 56) of which determine the vertical and/or horizontal amplitude of adjustment of the position of the striker (1).
