Barrel hinges. - In hinges rend e r e d detachable by having one wing in two interengaging parts 2, 3 secured together, the securing - means consists of a rotatable shank 6 having projecting lugs 7 engaging annular inclined surfaces 11 on the parts 3 and held to the part 2 by a collar 8. An elongated aperture 10 in the part 3 allows the lugs 7 to be passed through. To secure the sections together elastically, an elastic washer may be employed, or one of the sections may be slightly bent. The lugs 6 may be dispensed with and the shank provided with a screw-thread for engaging a corresponding aperture in the boss 9.
