Definitions
- the invention relates to a slide needle with the Features of the preamble of claim 1 or Claim 2.
- Slider needles such as those for flat knitting machines or Circular knitting machines have a needle body with a slide channel in which a slide is slidably mounted. At the free end of the needle body a needle head is designed in the form of a hook, which are opened or closed by the slide can.
- the knitting machine has at least one flat or a cylindrical and or a plate-shaped needle bed on, formed in each of several needle channels are.
- the slider needles are in these needle channels arranged longitudinally displaceable, being during the Knitting a reciprocating in the longitudinal direction Carry out movement.
- the slide must be matched to this be moved back and forth.
- the slide points to this a so-called foot, which acts as a means of transmission serves and engages with curved surfaces.
- curved surfaces are the edges of one so-called castle channel.
- both the head and the slide of the slide needle is in contact with the yarn, whereby depending on the nature and carried dirt load dust or filament deposits on the yarn Slider can occur.
- dust particles adhering to the wool, from salt crystals, sand or short ones from woolen laundry Filaments are deposited on the slider. Through the back and forth movement of the slide can do this Particles get into the gate valve, causing difficulties can lead.
- Such a slide needle is known from US Pat. No. 1,673,634 known with divided slide.
- the slider is through two interconnected slide springs formed the each side over the hook of the slide needle push, causing them to spread out.
- the arrangement of the slide needle is similar DE 44 30 705 A1. Again, the slider formed by two slide springs, which are located on the side of the Spread the hook over, creating dirt deposits between the slide springs can get.
- the slide needle has a needle body with needle channel that guides a slide.
- the slider is formed by a slide body, on which two mutually symmetrical trained slide springs are.
- the slide springs are operated by the Periodically spreading the needle head, leaving dirt and fiber residues in the defined between the slide springs Gap can reach.
- This slide needle has one in two mutually symmetrical slide springs divided slide on which is closed on three sides Slider channel of the slider needle arranged is. To guide the slider, it has an elongated hole provided by a guide pin is penetrated.
- the slide channel is also open laterally, that At least one of the channel side walls is called an opening or has recess. Alternatively or additionally you can one or more openings in the bottom of the slide channel be provided. The side opening can be through a cutout can be formed in the slide channel wall.
- This principle is also the slide needle according to claim 2 based. Leave recesses in the slide springs first to that accumulated between the slide springs Deposits from between the slide springs formed gap to the slide channel walls and through their Open openings to the outside.
- the slide needle according to the invention proves is therefore less susceptible to contamination.
- the slide springs have recesses have at different points in the two slide springs are arranged.
- the cutouts create recording rooms and passages for in the Dirt channel got dirt and also prevent jamming the dirt between the slide springs. This also applies in part if the recesses are opposite each other are arranged overlapping areas. The overlap The cutouts minimize areas between the Slider springs, in which dirt and the could spread slide springs.
- slide springs can also be between the guide sections and a respective mesh support section be asymmetrical what here too a reduced tendency to accumulate dirt and tendency to jam.
- the slide springs are thus largely free of overlaps.
- a slide needle 1 is illustrated in FIG. 1, to which a needle body 2, a slide 3, consisting of two slide springs 22, 23 and a slide body 21 belong.
- the needle body 2 is for insertion into the needle channel provided a knitting machine and has a elongated needle shaft 4 on at its free end carries a hook 5.
- the needle shaft 4 extends away from the hook 5 in a straight longitudinal direction.
- Right away following the hook 5 begins a slit-shaped Slider channel 7, the two sides of two channel side walls 8, 9 is limited.
- the channel side walls 8, 9 are flat, plate-shaped structures that are parallel at a distance protrude towards each other from the needle body 2. You point starting from a slot start 11, initially an increasing one Height up.
- the channel side walls 8, 9 are related to the longitudinal direction of the needle body 2 starting from the hook 5 at least so long that the side walls during the practical Use of the slide needle 1 is not complete move out of a needle channel. This gives the Needle 1 at least part of their leadership.
- the needle body 2 Following on from the channel side walls 8, 9 Area is the needle body 2 with an elongated Cutout 15 provided with respect to the longitudinal direction on one side through the channel side walls 8, 9 and another side delimited by a projection 16 becomes.
- the cutout 15 forms an area in which the Slider channel 7 is open. Instead of section 15 can also be provided side or bottom openings his.
- the slide 3 has a slide body 21 (FIG. 4) and two slide springs 22, 23 on the slide body 21 are held. It is essentially through an elongated body with a rectangular cross section, on which one or more feet 24 are formed. These protrude at right angles from the slide body 21 and serve to drive it. In operation they intervene the lock channel of a lock and are used by this moved relative to the needle body 2.
- the slide body 21 In his front Area, the slide body 21 has a receiving area 82 to which the slide springs 22, 23 are connected are. On its side facing the needle body 2 the slide body 21 has a flat surface 84.
- the Thickness of the slide base body 21 is approximately the same, like that of the needle body 2.
- the slider 3 can be made in one piece from the slider body 21 and the two slide springs 22, 23 are formed, these being detachable or non-detachable with the slide body 21 can be connected. In operation, they form a common Part.
- a guide section 35 trained, which is approximately the full amount of Slider channel 7 has, in special applications protrudes beyond this.
- the guide section 35 is with provided with a lower contact surface 37 which is in use abuts the flat bottom of the slide channel 7 and thus in Figure 3 also marked its height.
- the slide spring 23 illustrated in FIG. 2 is built up asymmetrically to the slide spring 22 in some areas. Both slide springs 22, 23 are in relation to one plane between them not mirror-symmetrical.
- the slide spring 23 extends from the end region 81 starting from a web area 47 to a guide section 48, into which he passes with a steep step 49.
- the Slide spring 23 is from above with a recess 47a provided, preferably with a lateral overlap the web area 34 of the slide spring 22.
- Both Recesses 34a, 47a can be of such a size that they partially overlap on their broad sides.
- a contact surface 52 is formed at the Recess 47a opposite side. This lower one Contact surface 52 lies on the bottom of the slide channel 7 on.
- the guide portion 48 of the slide spring 23 is against the guide section 35 of the slide spring 22 in Staggered in the longitudinal direction such that the steps 38, 49 in are spaced from each other.
- the slide springs 22, 23 so are designed so that the two stages 38, 49 cover or stand in alignment with each other. Largely The web areas 34, 47 are arranged without overlap. This is particularly evident from FIG. 1 and FIG. 5.
- the guide section 48 of the slide spring 23 goes via a web section 53 without a transition or through a Cutout (not shown) in a plate-like Section 54 about. This is mirror symmetrical to that Section 41 of the slide spring 22 is formed and lays a mesh support shoulder 55 firmly.
- the formation of the slide needle 1 and in particular the slide springs 22 and 23 go in detail from the Figure 6 out.
- the slide springs 22, 23 extend freely through the slide channel 7, the Web areas 34, 47 as can be seen from FIGS. 5 and 6, do not significantly overlap each other.
- the lower edge of the web area 34 can approximately level with the upper edge of the web area 47 be arranged. In many cases, however, it can also be beneficial be to allow a distance here so that the The lower edge of the web area 34 clearly above the upper edge of the web area 47 is arranged and the recesses 34a, 47a overlap. Then it is a gap S formed, which is inclined against the channel side wall 8, 9.
- the steps 38, 49 of the guide sections 35, 48 are spaced apart in the longitudinal direction so that this do not overlap.
- the slide channel 7 extends as Figures 1 and 6 illustrate, far in the direction on the hook 5 and the beginning of the slot 11 is thus arranged in the immediate vicinity of the hook 5.
- This front area 12 of the slide channel 7 gives the web sections 39, 53 guide up to close to the hook 5 approach.
- the slide needle 1 described so far works as follows:
- the slide 3 reciprocates moved against the needle body 2.
- the slide springs 22, 23 are almost completely retracted into the slide channel 7.
- the recording area 82 of the slide body 21 gives a front Part of the cutout 15 free, so that a large area Passage between the slide channel 7 on the channel side walls 8, 9 released over to the flanks of the needle channel is.
- the hook 5 enters the gap between the stitch retaining noses and spreads the slide springs 22, 23rd something on. Filaments, dust or other can also be used Deposits get between the slide springs 22, 23.
- the slider 3 is then retracted back into its Moved position hears the spreading of the slide springs 22, 23 and they will be included in the Gap of dirt is drawn into the slide channel 7. Carried filaments or other dirt can now however, this also does not lead to jamming of the slide springs 22, 23 lead in the slide channel 7, if many successive strokes always new deposits in reach the gap.
- the web areas 34, 47 do not press against each other, but past each other.
- the slide needle is therefore largely insensitive to dirt accumulation. Dirt that is carried along is also removed the relative movement between the web areas 34, 47 and the channel side walls 8, 9 in the cutout 15 and through discharged this into the needle channel.
- FIG. 7 shows a modified form of the slide 3. It has a slide body 21 'and two slide springs 22 ', 23', which are held on the slide body 21 '.
- the slide 3 ' can also be formed in one piece.
- the Slider body 21 ' is essentially an elongated, cross-sectionally rectangular web on which one or more feet 24 'are formed. These protrude at right angles from the slide body 21 'and serve the Same drive. In operation they reach into the lock channel of a castle and are relative to it Needle body 2 moves.
- the slide body has in its front area 21 'has a guide section 25 on which the Needle body 2 facing side formed a flat surface 26 is.
- the thickness of the guide section is the same like the one that extends to the feet 24 ' Section of the slide body 21 'and coincides approximately the thickness of the needle body 2 match.
- the Slide springs 22 ', 23' on a window cutout 31 or a fastener over. They always take action a mounting foot 32 in the window cutout 31 and are set up for caulking with this. The outermost opposite end is by stitch retaining lugs 33 educated.
- the slide spring 22 ' essentially by an elongated, rectangular in cross section Body formed. Starting from their stopping area 29, a web area 34 'extends to a guide section 35 '. Following the mounting foot 32 goes the slide spring 22 'in a web area 34', the is less high than the side walls 8, 9 of the needle body and which is arranged to face the floor the slide channel 7 maintains a clear distance, if the slide 3 'in or on the needle base 2 is inserted or scheduled. In other words, the slide spring 22 'has a recess in the web area 34' or recess 34a '.
- a guide section 35 'formed which is approximately the full height of the Slider channel 7 has, in special applications protrudes beyond this.
- a contact surface 36 for the flat surface 26 of the guide section 25 of the slide body 21 ' At his opposite side is the guide portion 35 ' a lower abutment surface 37 'which is in use abuts on the flat bottom of the slide channel 7 and thus also marked its height in FIG.
