Definitions
- the invention relates to a cable lug for connecting a cable end to a Screw terminal, with a flat contact fork open towards the front in a U-shape, which merges into a steerer tube with connection means for one cable end is provided, at least in the area of the contact fork a base plate designed as a signal conductor and at least one Damping disc made of elastic material with at least one cover plate are sandwiched one above the other.
- Such cable lugs are preferred as connection elements for electrical High-current connections of cable ends with screw-type connectors used, which are referred to as screw or connection terminals.
- screw or connection terminals This are essentially formed from a threaded bolt, which is vertical protrudes from a contact surface and on its free end a nut or another clamping piece with an internal thread can be screwed on.
- the contact fork is first in the axial gap between the contact surface and the nut radially on the Bolt pushed. Then the nut is screwed tight, see above that the contact fork between the nut and the contact surface of the terminal axially firmly clamped.
- the contact fork in the area of the contact surfaces as a sandwich Construction from a base plate, an elastomer disc and a Form cover plate.
- the base plate and the cover plate are as Sheet metal forks lying congruently one above the other, between those in the area of the U-shaped contact surfaces also a U-shaped one flat rubber washer is pinched or glued.
- the elastomer washer is also in the known cable lugs endangered by those who occur when bracing in the terminal Compressive forces can be crushed when tightening the clamp nuts.
- the elastomer washer in the prior art is loaded only resiliently in the axial direction. So it is possible that due to the undamped spring action of the rubber material mechanical resonances occur. This causes the contact surfaces to vibrate the contact fork and the screw terminal are practically undamped up to today.
- the object of the present invention lies in the task based on a cable lug starting from the entrance State of the art to further develop that Functional properties and durability are improved. In particular is said to improve vibration damping and protect the Elastomer washer against damage when tightening can be reached.
- the invention proposes starting from State of the art at the beginning that the cover plate Damping disc overlaps on the side.
- the inventive design of the cover plate provides that this for Base plate has protruding bends, webs or reinforcements, which continuously or in sections along the outer edge in front, U-shaped contact area. With that the Elastomer disc bordered on its side edges.
- the design according to the invention has the basic advantage yourself that a lateral movement of the damping disc over the edge of the Cover plate is prevented without gluing or the like would be required.
- the shape of the invention Damping disc frame-like covered by the cover plate, so that they do not can migrate laterally beyond the edge of the cover plate. Beyond that they also prevent uncontrolled lateral squeezing when tightening protected in the terminal.
- a particularly advantageous development of the invention provides that the Cover plate at least in the area of the contact fork along its Has an outer contour encircling, protruding side wall, which overlaps the damping disc laterally up to the base plate in a box-like manner. Thanks to the cover plate, which is deeply pulled down on the side, it practically becomes a side and closed box or suitcase formed above, in which the Damping disc is applied. The one enclosed in the box or suitcase Space can be covered from below through the base plate, i.e. closable. Around To achieve this, the side wall can be up in the unloaded idle state reach down to a narrow gap to the upper edge of the base plate, the when pressing the base and cover plates together when tightening is closed, the box or suitcase being closed at the same time.
- a particularly advantageous development of the aforementioned embodiment provides that the base plate from the bottom like a piston in the of the cover plate side and top limited space is submersible.
- the base plate forms a plunger or plunger that comes on when the contact fork is pressed together the damping disk now enclosed on all sides in the box acts.
- Shock absorbers for motor vehicles or the like is known by hydraulic, hydro-mechanical and hydro-pneumatic friction effects a particularly high damping effect with regard to mechanical Vibrations reached. This way you become unwanted Contact vibrations, be it through sound or magneto or electrostriction, practically completely prevented, which of course especially the Signal transmission in high-end consumer electronics systems comes.
- the piston-like base plate can advantageously be implemented by that they have a gradation in the area of the contact fork at the top is provided. This gives it an inverted T-shaped Cross-section. This can be in the box formed by the cover plate or Immerse the case until the edge of the side wall against the horizontal step surface meets. This creates a defined end stop formed and prevents crushing.
- the cover plate itself is preferably made of resilient material and is firmly connected to the steerer tube behind the U-shaped contact surfaces.
- the elastomer disc is then springy between the cover and base plates clamped.
- the cover plate preferably consists of hardened, tempered steel sheet, for example V4A. Due to its hardness and spring elasticity this material is sufficiently stable in shape to withstand the hydraulic tensioning of the Absorb the compressive forces occurring. Beyond that the surface largely insensitive to scratches or other Damage when connecting to a terminal.
- the manufacture of the cover plate is preferably carried out by deep drawing a one-piece sheet metal blank, the is then hardened.
- the base plate and the one piece thereon connected steerer is made of highly conductive metal. Highly pure, low-oxygen is preferably used for the signal conductor Electrolytic copper or silver is used. As corrosion protection the Base plate and / or the cover plate hard gold-plated.
- the cover plate expediently has movable against the base plate Stop elements on. These are protruding spacers, which limit the movement of the cover plate against the base plate, so that the damping disc cannot be accidentally crushed.
- the damping disc can basically be made of any elastomer material exist, for example rubber or suitable plastics. Through the Shore hardness adjustment can be any mechanical properties and so that the damping effect can be specified. A is preferred elastic material with high internal damping selected.
- the damping effect can be influenced in an advantageous manner, that the cover plate and / or the damping disc and / or the base plate hydraulic balancing cavities for the elastic material of the Has damping disc.
- compensation cavities for example indentations open to the interior of the case or also Through openings introduced in the cover plate or the base plate become.
- the material of the damping disc can Compressed hydraulically. This allows the Friction values and thus the damping effect to the respective needs be optimally adjusted.
- the elastomer material can also be injection molded directly onto the cover plate.
- the contact fork is expediently located outside of the contact surfaces in Insulating material embedded, for example encapsulated with plastic. This is in An advantage in terms of manageability.
- connection means on the steerer tube can be screw clamps for mounting one end of the cable or alternatively be provided with crimp connectors, thus have squeezable clamping pieces.
- this support element which can be formed, for example, by bevels, according to the Measure the thickness of the elastomer disc. In this way it is ensured that when clamping the cover and the base plate largely parallel stay together.
- cover plate on the steerer tube laterally protruding locking tines of the base plate is fixed in position. In this way you get a clear, correct assignment of cover and base plate.
- Fig. 1 is a cable lug according to the invention in a perspective View obliquely from above and as a whole with the reference number 1 Mistake.
- This has a contact fork 2 which is open at the front in a U-shape and which to the rear into a steerer tube 3, which in an insulating and Handle body 4 made of plastic is embedded.
- the steerer tube 3 For connection to a cable end, the steerer tube 3 is in its rear Area provided with connection means 5, but in this representation up to the heads of the clamping screws are covered by the insulating body 4. there are screw terminals, their connection opening for a cable end is located at the rear end of the insulating body 4.
- the base plate 6, which is integral with the steerer tube 3 Connection means 5 is connected, consists of highly conductive metal, for example, high-purity copper or silver.
- the cover plate 7 is as tempered and hardened stainless steel deep-drawn part and trained like that Base plate 6 preferably hard gold-plated. Alternatively, the cover plate 7 can also another resistant one, relative to the damping disc 8 harder material, for example plastic. In the area of Steerer tube 3, the cover plate 7 is firmly connected to this, so that they in Area of the contact fork 2 practically vertical, i.e. in the axial direction against the Base plate 6 is movable.
- the cross section through the contact fork according to FIG. 2 is schematic in FIG. 3 shown enlarged again. You can clearly see how that Cover plate 7, the side walls 7a up to the upper edge of the base plate 6 are pulled down, a closed box for the Damping disc 8 forms.
- the base plate 6 has a T-shape stepped cross-section, up to the step edge in the through the cover plate 7th formed box is plunger-like in the direction of the arrow.
- both the cover plate 7 and the base plate 8 with hydraulic Compensation cavities 9 are provided, some of which are formed as indentations, are partially designed as through openings.
- the damping disc 8 is also provided with such compensation cavities 9, some of which open indentations and partially designed as closed chambers are.
- the elastomer material can also be porous overall be trained.
- Fig. 5 shows a similar embodiment, in which the base plate 6 one has stepped cross-section.
- All illustrated embodiments of the cable lug 1 according to the invention has in common that vibrations of the base plate 6 and the cover plate 7th against each other by the damping effect of the enclosed Damping disc 8 are effectively prevented.
- the base plate 6 and the cover plate 7 is namely made of elastomeric material existing damping disc 8 quasi hydraulically deformed. By doing it occurring hydraulic, hydro-mechanical and hydro-pneumatic friction there is an effective damping.
- the arrangement is more hydraulic Compensation cavities 9, in which the material of the damping disc 8 at Compressing can flow, as well as the chosen hardness of the elastic Material adjustable within wide limits.
