Definitions

  • the invention relates to a goal after the generic term of claim 1
  • Conventional garage doors have a door leaf, the between a closed position, in which it is substantially extends in a vertical plane, and an open position, in which it is overhead substantially in a horizontal plane extends, is movable.
  • For guiding the door leaf movement are usually two with respect to a garage ceiling or a garage wall or a frame of the door attached guide rails provided in which on opposite sides lateral edges of the door leaf fastened guide elements are included. This is a low-friction movement of the door leaf achieved when the guide elements in the form of a rotatable about perpendicular to the predetermined path extending axis of rotation formed on the door leaf guide rollers are formed.
  • the guide rails usually substantially horizontally extending Sections on, starting from the garage entrance or the opening to be closed with the gate in the interior the garage or opening space, wherein the door leaf in the open position substantially between the horizontally extending portions of the guide rails is arranged.
  • the opening movement is usually by one to the garage entrance or with the gate to occlusive opening facing away from the rear end of the guide rails arranged stop limited, with the particular prevents the guide elements, the guide rails leave.
  • prestressing elements coupled to the door leaf such as tension or torsion springs, used during a closing movement of the door leaf biased by the use of gravity are and the door leaf under delivery of stored therein Energy during the opening movement in the open position pushing.
  • tension or torsion springs used during a closing movement of the door leaf biased by the use of gravity are and the door leaf under delivery of stored therein Energy during the opening movement in the open position pushing.
  • the braking effect of known braking device not for all operating conditions can be set optimally.
  • the leadership bounces the known gate during an opening movement with a to low speed already back to the plastic block.
  • the plastic block of the known Braking device so like a stop, what the above-mentioned Problems leads.
  • the braking effect also come that the Guide roller between the plastic block and a guide surface the guide rail is clamped so that the door leaf only be closed with a lot of effort again can.
  • the technique of the invention is the object of a constructive to provide a simple gate, with which an opening movement the door leaf without affecting the functionality and the appearance of the door independently slowed down by the speed of the opening movement so can be that it remains in its open position.
  • the gate according to the invention engages the Braking device as well as in the above gate described not on the door leaf, but on the Guide element on. This will, as already above explains, on the one hand, an impairment of the outer Appearance of the gate and on the other hand a structural Extra effort avoided. Furthermore, the braking device acts in the Gate according to the invention over a longer braking distance on the Guide element. This will be a continuous Deceleration of the door leaf movement achieved, which has a large Range of door leaf speeds to a complete Deceleration of the Torblattieri in the course of the braking distance leads.
  • the use of one allows for a longer Braking distance effective braking device a reliable Deceleration of the door leaf with a comparatively small Braking force, because it needed to decelerate the door leaf Energy applied only over the entire braking distance must be, so that at each point of the braking distance only a small braking force is needed. Therefore, the functionality is the gate according to the invention by the braking device hardly affected, because the door leaf also when acted upon of the guide member by in the course of the braking distance acting braking force without much effort in the closed position can be moved.
