Definitions
- the invention relates to a double hull boat.
- German patent DE 42 35 817 C1 already a sheet guide for swiveling triangular sails known, in which two identical taljen are provided, which are attached to each end of the tree, with blocks when pivoting the triangular sail and the tree 180 ° in opposite directions along the tree.
- This too Procedure has proven to be due to the high effort proven to be in need of improvement.
- the invention is based on the object to create a multihull boat in which the mast inclination arranged to be easily movable transversely to the main longitudinal axis of the trunk is an easy, time-saving assembly at the start of sailing is possible and the high Tensile loads between the mast foot and the boom spars be introduced into the main hull in a favorable manner.
- the boat as shown in Fig. 1, consists of a Main hull 10, one with his foot free above that Main hull floating mast 12 and an attached Sail 14, two like a surfing boom on it attached boom halves 16, two the main float 10 connecting spars connecting a boom 22 18, the mast by two bracing ropes carrying it 20 is held in his foot and a meeting 44 against tilting forward or backward protects.
- the main sheet 24 is against tilting to the leeward side provided that set against a spring connection 38 is that of a mast foot end, which is below the lateral pivot point of the mast - that of an imaginary Connection line between the fuselage attachment points 36 is given - extends to the boom.
- the meeting can be used to achieve the necessary strength via a pulley in the area of one at the top of the mast provided attachment point 26 fixed be (Fig. 2).
- reference numeral 38 is the resilient bracing of the Mast foot called, which in cooperation with the im upper part of the mast attacking main sheet 24 a counteracts lateral tilting of the mast, so that this stands up when the main sheet 24 up to a predetermined maximum point can be released.
- the angle is reduced between the sail chord and main trunk longitudinal axis is initiated, by the (trim) associated with the selected sail side Sheet rope 30 at a corresponding point on the main hull 10 or is occupied on a boom spar 18.
- This occupancy point is preferably much smaller Distance to the axis of rotation around which the rig moved against the boom spars 18 as the starting point the fixed part of the main sheet 24 and its lower end of the valley 40 on the boom spars 18, which with some Distance to the end of the spar on the boom on which the Part 24 is fixed, but still in the boom area is selected.
- the Talje 40 is reduced in strength the sail 14 brought tight and at the same time in less Dimension of the angle of inclination of the rig reduced to windward.
- Fig. 4 shows the main fuselage 10 in side view two fuselage attachment points attached to the top of the fuselage 36 in the form of pipe receptacles. In between is one Bar or rod that can be subjected to pressure and bending stress Strut 50 arranged.
- Fig. 3 the boat is with a mast 12 enclosing Boom 16 shown. Its spars are over connecting elements 46 each with a side, from the Fuselage fastening points 36 to the mast 12 leading ropes 44 connected.
- This arrangement ensures that the boom 16 due to the tension in the tension ropes automatically with his lee-sided cam in alignment with boom 22 according to Lee aligns. This is also a guarantee alignment of the boat caused by the wind with the Boom 22 after windward given what a safe location in Represents water.
- FIG. 1 The overall view in Fig. 1 with two hulls 10, 22, two connecting spars 18 between them, a rig from mast 12 and a sail 14 attached to it, and a boom spanning the sail 16 with the rig in a top area a valley-like main sheet 24 provided from the boom 22, provides all the details except for the bracing on which a sailor sits while holding the main sheet at the end of the valley 40 leads to block 28 in hand (unless it does on a spar).
- the other end of the Main sheet 24 is in the area of the jib hull (22) Boat set up, and the maximum length is up to upright of the mast is limited, so that this is not according to Lee turns.
- the mast foot is braced from two bracing ropes 20 becomes fuselage attachment points 36 on the main fuselage 10 through a resilient element to the connecting spar ends on the boom side and the weight of the rig under Tension held, with the mast through the main sheet held upwind and the rig aft through the trim sheet is turned to the wind.
- the Main sheet not celebrated, which means raising the rig would have resulted, but brought close to the sail area to shrink and lift the sail on the main hull to enlarge.
- the adjuster 44 which is on the mast in its upper area is attached, the mast against tilting becomes Bow or stern held.
- the adjuster 44 is in front and aft - as far as such terms on a boat that changes its direction of travel at every turn sensibly are - advantageously at the fuselage attachment points 36 scheduled.
- the rig in a position facing away from the boom moving substantially horizontal connection 46 to the Fork boom 16 provided which the adjuster 44 at a Essentially twisting the sail and boom the longitudinal axis of the mast 12 is subjected to a torsional force.
- the trim sheet 30 finally, from a block 28 onwards the main sheet 24 on both sides of the sail windward of the rig in the height range of the boom 16 up to an aft deflection block 34 in the rear end region of the boom 16 leads, forms a quasi second Impairment in particular of the aft edge of the rig, since the boom with the blocks 34 between the fuselage attachment points 36 and the little side-trimmable Block 28 holds stationary. It becomes after everyone Turn again e.g. at the aft fuselage attachment point fixed.
