Definitions

  • the invention relates to a recording material for Ink jet printing process (ink jet printing process).
  • the ink jet recording process is one of the electronic printing process and is already multiple have been described. It will be in a wide Field of application for the production of color graphics, Color images and also text prints used. To the at recording materials used in this technology high demands are made. This includes for example high color density, high resolution, short Ink drying times, light stability as well Dimensional stability. Another important requirement for commercial applications, the surface gloss This is particularly true in the manufacture of Art graphics important. But also in the generation of Images that require a photo-like impression gloss is an important requirement.
  • EP0 650 850 A is a recording material known that from a polyolefin coated Base paper and a receiving layer.
  • the Recording material enables the production of High resolution images, color density and high Gloss that overall with conventional photographic images are comparable.
  • the polyethylene coated carrier is the bad one Absorption of the ink liquid due to the Sealing the paper with a plastic, which for poor drying behavior of the recording material leads.
  • EP 0 709 221 A describes a recording material suggested that a paper substrate with a certain Sheffield smoothness and a sheen of more than 20, measured at 60 ° measuring angle, and one Ink receiving layer with water soluble components contains, wherein the entire recording material Has a gloss of more than 50, measured at 60 ° Measuring angle.
