Definitions
- the invention relates to an apparatus and a method for direct or indirect application of a liquid or pasty medium on a pre-formed, but still wet material web, in particular made of paper or cardboard.
- From DE-OS 19 42 348 for example Known application device in which the application medium onto a web of material picked up between two fourdriners is applied. Suction devices are also provided, which remove moisture from the still wet material web. Due to the singing sieves inherent, relatively loose guidance the material web in a direction orthogonal to the material web plane The material web points in the direction of Application device on a relatively loose structure. That on the application medium applied therefore tends to hit away in the volume of the material web and does not remain in the area as is actually desired the surface of the material web. With the from DE-OS 19 42nd 348 known application device can thus the modern machines for the production of paper or cardboard do not achieve the required stroke quality.
- the surface of a fibrous web that is in the above has been provided with an order medium as described, has a rough surface. This can cause problems lead when printing. A major cause of plucking lies in the order nip opening too quickly. This Opening speed is becoming ever greater Problem, the faster the paper machines run.
- an application device for the wet area a machine for producing a material web, in particular made of paper or cardboard, ready to supply which one enables that applied to the material web Keep application medium close to its surface and according to a second aspect is a picking when applying the Avoid application medium.

- the mode of operation of the application device according to the invention is based primarily on the combination of two characteristics, namely on the one hand that the application medium in the wrapping area of Roller comes into contact with the material web, and secondly, that the application medium always through a sieve on the Material web is applied, regardless of whether the application medium on the material web from the inside forth or from the outside is applied.
- inside and outside refer to the curved course of the material web in Wrap area, i.e. under the "inside” is the understood the side of the material web facing the roller, while under the “outside” the side facing away from the roller the material web is understood.
- the material web between two sieve belts.
- first case prevents the provided on the inside of the material web, second screen belt a direct contact of the Material web with the roller surface, which is particularly the case Damage to the end of the wrapping area Material web due to unwanted adherence to the Prevents roll surface.
- second case this is on the The second screen belt provided on the outside of the material web their compression.
- the commissioned work according to an embodiment variant with the The sieve belt is in sliding contact.
- This variant allows to easily ensure that the Application medium through the sieve belt with the Material web comes into contact.
- the commissioned work can have an application chamber from which the application medium emerges under pressure and through the sieve belt with the Material web is brought into contact. By suitable choice the value of the pressure prevailing in the order chamber the application medium at a desired depth Material web are pressed in.
- the Application work, however, also at a distance from the screen belt arranged and, for example, by a free jet nozzle applicator be educated.
- the order medium occurs only "gradually" through the sieve belt and with the material web in contact.
- the commissioned work can Removal device to be arranged downstream for removal excess application medium from the material web.
- the removal device Order work immediately subordinate.
- This Leveling device can be, for example Scraper arrangement or another known doctor unit include.
- the application can be according to a first embodiment with the surface of the roller in Stand sliding contact or according to a second Design variant at a distance from the surface of the roller be arranged.
- the roller is at least over part of the wrapping area extending vacuum zone having.
- the roller In case of order from the outside of the Material web is the one in the still wet material web existing moisture is sucked off to the roller, causing the Anchoring the application medium in the area of the outer Relieved surface of the material web.
- Application from the inside of the material web can be done by means of excess medium in the vacuum zone be removed from the surface of the material web.
- the order work can have an order chamber, from which the application medium emerges under pressure.
