Definitions
- the invention relates to a cross strut for a folding wheelchair, with at least two crosswise with each other via a cross strut joint connected struts used to adjust the seat width are each made variable in length by telescoping and at their upper end one in each case transversely to the strut in the longitudinal direction of the folding wheelchair serves to determine the seat and to enlarge the Seat depth is changeable.
- the invention has for its object the above Cross strut to improve constructively.
- Seat profile is formed in two parts, the front seat profile section preferably telescoped continuously in the main seat tube.
- the two-part seat covering enables problem-free length adjustment.
- the seat depth setting remains the same rear seat cover stationary, while the front seat cover moved together with the front seat profile sections becomes.
- Figure 1 shows a cross strut for a not shown Folding wheelchair.
- This cross strut is shown in front view is therefore transverse to the longitudinal axis of the folding wheelchair and consists essentially of two crosswise over a cross strut joint 1 interconnected struts 2.
- Each strut 2 is composed of an upper, tubular trained strut section 2a and also as a tube trained lower strut section 2b, the telescopic in upper strut section 2a is guided gradually displaceable.
- Each strut section 2a, 2b has a row of holes 3, 4 which correspond with each other.
- the cross brace joint 1 Screw or the like Is through a hole 3a of the row of holes 3 of the upper strut section 2a and by three with this Hole 3a aligned holes 4a of the row of holes 4 of the associated lower strut section 2b and 3a, 4a of the second strut 2 inserted.
- the rows of holes 3, 4 are arranged so that the cross strut joint 1 always in the center of the cross point can be placed, i.e. in the vertical longitudinal median plane M at height h compared to the lower pivot points 5 of the two Struts 2. This ensures that the side frames the folding wheelchair, even when adjusting the seat width stand parallel to each other.
- the upper strut section 2a there is a cross strut tab 6 articulated via a connection 7 through a multiple hole 8 of the cross strut plate 6 and a bore 9a the row of holes 9 forming the bearing on the upper strut section 2a is performed.
- the holes 9a are not through the top Bracket section 2a passed through for maximum insertion of the lower strut section into the upper strut section.
- the upper strut section welded a U-profile with its U-legs.
- the holes 9a of the row of holes are in the U-leg 9 provided while in the between U-profile and strut section formed channel is inserted a flat steel, the one of the hole ranges 9 corresponding row of threaded holes having.
- Figure 1 shows the cross strut in a setting for minimal Seat width.
- the two struts 2 are shortened to a minimum length; the cross strut joint 1 is through the top hole 3a of the upper strut section 2a and thus through the lowest hole 4a of the associated lower strut section 2b; the Connection 7 is through the top holes of the multiple hole 8 of the cross strut plate 6 and the row of holes 9 of the upper one Buttress section 2a performed.
- the seat width is determined by the distance a between the two upper ends of the struts 2, each by a transverse to the strut 2 in the longitudinal direction of the folding wheelchair lying seat profile 10 is defined. In one practical embodiment is the minimum seat width e.g. 23 cm and the maximum seat width shown in Figure 5 e.g. 33.5 cm.
- Cross strut In the setting defining the maximum seat width Cross strut according to FIG. 5 is the height h of the cross strut joint 1 remained unchanged from that of FIG. 1; the Cross strut joint 1 is still on the vertical Longitudinal center plane M. Deviating from FIG. 1, however, these are Cross strut joint 1 and the connections 7 each in the Lower position of the assigned rows of holes 3, 4, 8, 9 provided. Since each of these rows of holes has multiple holes Intermediate positions possible.
- Figures 1 and 5 show that the lower end of each upper strut section 2a and the arranged area of the lower Strut section 2b by a telescopic clamp 11 at the same time are gripped and clamped without play.
- Figure 4 shows in conjunction with Figure 4 that the lower end of the lower Buttress section 2b by a slid-on, with the lower Bracket section 2a to be screwed lower extension 12 is formed is T-shaped.
- a pipe plug 19 is placed, the dimensioned in the diameter of the outer section is that a low-clearance guide of the upper end of the lower Strut section 2b guaranteed in the upper strut section 2a is.
- the seat profile 10 is formed in two parts, the front Seat profile section 10a continuously telescoped in the main seat tube 10b. On the two front seat profile sections 10a a movable front seat cover 13 together with these attached, partially from a stationary rear, to the two main seat tubes 10b attached seat cover 14 overlapped is.
- each tensioning strip 15 provided, each above that assigned to them Seat profile 10 and the front seat cover 13th on the front seat profile sections 10a and on the two Press head tube 10b.
- the attachment of each tensioning bar 15 takes place via two screw connections 16, 17, the rear in an elongated hole 18 in the top of the main seat tube 10b is and thus enables stepless telescoping and at the same time forms a protection against moving out.
- the front seat cover is the same as the rear seat cover adjustable in width (e.g. by means of a not shown Velcro straps, buckles or the like) and are so on the desired frame width set with the cross strut customizable. Due to the two-part design of the seat covering their length adjustment is also possible without any problems.
- the front seat cover 13 is placed around the tensioning strips 15, while the rear seat cover 14 around the main seat tubes 10b is performed. With the seat depth adjustment, the rear seat cover 14 stationary, while the front seat cover 13 together with the front seat profile sections 10a is moved.
