Definitions
- the invention relates to a dart for a dart game according to the Preamble of claim 1.
- a dart is such. B. from the US 4,775,158 known.
- the darts are about 15cm long and in practice 10g to 25g darts from a distance of usually 2.37m to a thrown round disc.
- This disc with a diameter of z. B. 46 cm is divided into 20 wedge-shaped segments by a wire mesh embedded in it, which in turn are divided by two concentric double rings. throw hits in these segments, in the double rings or in the center (bull) result in a certain score.
- Darts includes such Dart arrow an arrow head made of steel and a brass shaft as well as a Plastic or natural feathering.
- the dart is usually made up of several parts.
- a so-called Steel darts like this one B. from GB 2 102 296 A and also from GB 3 085 740 A is known, the arrowhead made of steel into one Arrow body used interchangeably.
- a so-called soft dart like this z. B. is known from EP 0 367 558 A2, an existing plastic Arrowhead screwed into the arrow body.
- the plastic arrowhead bears for this purpose a plastic thread at the end and the arrow body (barrel) carries accordingly an internal thread.
- the invention has for its object a dart for a dart game to indicate the largest possible mass with a high slenderness, i.e. has as large a weight as possible.
- the arrow body has an external thread on at least one end in the form of a grub screw for insertion into a corresponding one thread-free cavity of the arrow body at the end facing this a thread-free Approach, the diameter of which corresponds to the inside diameter of the Cavity is adapted to form a press fit.
- On this external thread is the arrow head with a corresponding internal thread or the shaft with the appropriate internal thread with the feathering screwed.
- the invention is based on the consideration, not one at a dart To cause weight gain by increasing the length of the arrow body, because due to the regulations the arrow length is limited, but a weight loss to avoid. This can be achieved when using the usually an internal thread provided cavity on the arrow body is dispensed with. If the arrow body then carries the external thread of the screw connection, then also achieved weight gain.
- the arrow body or barrel is given additional mass by the external thread fed and thus increased its weight accordingly. So on the one hand the The mass of a barrel with the same diameter can be increased by 15% to 25%. For example, with a 16g dart, the arrow remains the same Basic length of the arrow body achieved a weight gain of about 2.6 g. on the other hand the diameter of the barrel can be significantly reduced with the same mass and thus the barrel can be made much thinner or slimmer than before. For example, the diameter of an 18g barrel without losing weight reduced from 6mm to 4.6mm. The increase in mass takes place or the weight balance, preferably by M3 external thread on both Ends of the barrel.
- the external thread in the form of a corresponding Cavity of the arrow body is pressed-in threaded pin, in particular compared to a one-piece molded directly on the arrow body or from the Solid material cut out external thread, the advantage achieved that the grub screw if the thread is damaged, can be replaced without that the arrow body becomes unusable. So can with a broken tip or in the case of a broken shaft, the rest of the threaded pin without tools removed from the barrel within seconds and replaced by a new one Set screw to be replaced.
- the external thread is used to simplify the assembly of the dart or the grub screw at the free end with an approach that serves as an insertion aid Mistake.
- this can be conical, the free end of the Grub screw can also be threadless.
- the external thread is advantageous designed such that it is the shaft to be screwed on or the screw-on tip leads. This is the number of effective threads reduced, so that the screwing is accelerated significantly.
- the invention in particular achieved the advantage that there are no more external threads, so none Notch effects arise. Due to the forces acting on the arrowhead when Falling out of the dart or throwing disc and due to a collision the bottom was often damaged by the external thread on the arrowhead and tended to cancel. The associated disadvantage of time-consuming and by means of a tool to be unscrewed a broken one Thread from the barrel is the inventive Dart avoided.
- the dart or darts arrow is composed of a central arrow body (Barrel) 2 and an arrowhead 4 and a feathering or tail unit (Flight) 6 carrying shaft 8.
- the elongated and cylindrical arrow body 2 has a surface structure 10 on the shell side to improve handling because the dart to stabilize its trajectory during the launch in a rotational movement is offset.
- the arrow body 2 has, in particular a soft dart, both on the arrowhead 4 and on the End 8 facing shaft 8 has an external thread 12 or 14. With a steel dart the external thread 12 can be omitted if the arrowhead is known per se Way in the arrow body 2 is used interchangeably.
- Fig. 2 shows the dart with the external threads carried by grub screws 15, 16 12 or 14.
- the arrow body points to the grub screw 15 2 at the end of the arrow head 4 facing a corresponding one Cavity 17 in which the grub screw 15 with a thread-free shoulder 20th is plugged in.
- the threaded pin 16 has a shoulder 22, which of a corresponding cavity 18 of the arrow body 2 is received.
- the outer diameter of the lugs 20 and 22 are the inner diameter the cavities 17 and 18 adapted.
- the Arrowhead 4 has a cavity 28 with an internal thread 30.
- the Shank 8 has a shaft end 32 facing the arrow body 2 (not visible) cavity with a corresponding to the external thread 14 Internal thread.
- the feathering 6 is in one or more slots 24 of the Shank 8 inserted into the shaft end facing away from the external thread 14. In the case of the threaded connection, the arrowhead is positively secured 4 and / or the shaft 8 achieved.
- Fig. 3 shows a preferred embodiment of the threaded pins using the example of Set screw 16.
- Whose arrowhead 4 to be screwed on or the one to be screwed on End 8 facing shaft is designed as an insertion aid.
- To there the set screw 16 has a shoulder 26 on which the external thread 14 starts slim and then increases in diameter. This is preferably conical trained approach 26 can also be completely or partially thread-free.
- Fig. 4 shows the dart in the assembled state.
- Soft darts shown are both arrowhead 4 and the feathering 6 made of plastic, while the shaft 8 made of aluminum, for example consists.
- the arrow body 2 consists of brass, a nickel / silver or a tungsten / nickel alloy. Such a soft dart is due to the additional external thread 12, 14 in the form of the set screws 15 and 16 a Weight gain over traditional soft darts of the same composition and the same material by 15 to 25%.
- the barrel 2 can be at the same time high Mass much slimmer compared to a conventional barrel be executed.
- an M3 external thread 12 or 14 i. H. at a metric external thread 12, 14 with 3mm diameter, has an 18g heavy barrel 2 has a diameter of advantageously only 4.6 mm.
