- Such support frames are used in tumble driers and umbrellas for clamping and unclamping the support arms attached clotheslines or umbrella covers by folding and unfolding the Arms of the support frame, in which each formed by a support arm and a support arm Knee joints bent when unfolding the arms and almost completely when folding the arms be stretched.
- the second star part is, depending on the design of the tumble dryer attached to the upper end of the support tube, the clothesline then only in one can be clamped predetermined working height, or axially displaceable along the support tube and provided with its own locking device, with which he on the support tube in different, the height of each respective desired height positions are axially fixed can.
- Clothes dryers and umbrellas are folded most of the time standing or lying down stored and opened only when needed to wet laundry on the clamped clothesline hang to dry or around the area around the support tube by the clamped Protective cover to protect from rain or sun.
- unfolding the arms of the folded Supporting frame by pushing up the respective lower star part must first each the resistance caused by the extended knee joints of the folded support frame be overcome before the lower star part with slightly open support arms and slightly bent knee joints with significantly less effort to further unfold the arms can be pushed further up.
- pushing up the lower star part must also the weight of the support and support arms are raised.
- the support frame In the umbrella-shaped clothes dryers is the support frame with its four support arms between where the clothesline is clamped when unfolding the support frame and the Weight of heavy wet laundry hung on the clothesline, stable and relatively heavy running, which is why when folded support frame for pushing the lower part of the star required force is relatively large.
- the lower star part is located at collapsed support frame in its bottom end position, which is why the operator must bend down to grasp the lower star part to counter it push up the resistance of the folded support frame along the support tube and at to be able to axially fix a tensioned clothesline on the support tube.
