Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for forming, maintaining and tensioning a band loop around the stacked goods of a banding machine a band guide limiting the extension of the loop and a feed mechanism for rolling, feeding and Stretching a banderole.
- the invention further relates to a Banding machine for binding stacked goods with a band.
- a banding machine processes square, rectangular, round, trapezoidal or other shaped objects, by doing this with at least one tape, at the same time or one after the other, to form a stack.
- the stacked goods can be hard or very soft. So can for example printed matter, trimmings, envelopes, labels, Banknotes, checks, business cards, books, brochures, Newspapers, booklets, signs, but also pharmaceutical products, textile products, Stockings, vegetable products, cheese boxes, Meat packs, shoe soles or the like are bound in stacks become.
- a banding machine works semi or fully automatically.
- a banderole made of paper, plastic coated Paper or plastic forms a loop in which the binding stack is introduced. Controlled by a sensor or triggered with a hand or foot switch the banderole clamped at its free end pulled back, until it fits snugly on the stacked goods. Soft stacks can be more or less squeezed by hand, then the clamped end is glued to the tightened tape or welded and cut off.
- Banding machines of conventional design must be formed and maintaining a loop of the banderole mechanical suspension or support means taken refuge become. This is the only way to enable a large processing range, without the loop even before it is fully expanded or bends in before the stack is inserted. It will however, relatively expensive devices are purchased taken, which are synchronized to the work cycle have to.
- a strapping machine is a packing machine and works with steel straps, which a package intended for open transport with embraced with great force. Feed and hold up
- the steel belt is made exclusively with drivable ones Magnetic rollers.
- Banderoles of paper, coated paper or plastic are placed around a stack and tightened. The bundled stacks can be stored well, however can only be transported open with reservations. Banderoles can obviously never be tensioned like steel bands that Banderoles would neither be the strong pull nor exposed Survive transport conditions. For the band they would be probably flexible, but too stiff metal bands unusable.
- a significant advance in banding is according to the preambles of claims 1 and 5 corresponding EP, A1 0456604 achieved.
- a banderole is made during of advancing and after reaching the end position with pneumatic means in one essentially a sliding surface in the loop guide given the loop shape held up. When the tape is withdrawn, the banderole is without movement mechanical parts pulled out of the tape guide and around placed the stacked goods.
- the present invention is based on the object Method and a device of the type mentioned create which to form and maintain one Loop of a sleeve works without mechanical support, and further optimized the formation of the loop.
- the object is achieved according to the invention solved that the non-metallic flexible banderole during the feed phase and after reaching the end position with at least one attractive endlessly arranged along the belt guide all-round flexible conveyor in a loop shape maintained and taken away, but when tensioning is easily lifted off the tape guide.
- Multiple bonds can be created by inserting the Stacked goods in a band guide or by arranging two or more band guides in a banding machine run simultaneously.
- the drive movement of the feed mechanism and the conveyor elements along the tape guide are preferably on top of each other coordinated, they run approximately simultaneously and approximately with same speed. Small deviations are not important, the compensation takes place continuously or at the latest when lifting immediately afterwards by tensioning.
- the conveying members can run along the belt guide via an additional gear through the drive of the feed mechanism can be rotated. So that will ensures that the drive is synchronous, the speeds can be on each other with simple means be coordinated.
- the endless conveyor elements running along the belt guide can have an attraction in different ways exercise the banderole, which is an interaction generating material or coated accordingly is.
- the attractive force exerted on the banderole may only be relatively weak, it has to be easy again can be peeled off.
- the banderole can be of the circulating For example, electrostatically, by ionization or adhesively tightened. An electrostatic Attraction is weak in itself but sufficient, with adhesive Attraction becomes an easily removable instant adhesive accordingly the well-known "Post it notes" (trade name) used. With magnetic attraction, the banderole would have to be magnetizable Contain particles. Ionic maintenance forces a loop shape will be through on material charging generators with poor conductivity generated.
- the attractive force exerted on the banderole can also be influenced by the contact area, with a full area Band as means revolving along the band guide for example, the force is much greater than in only two parallel strings or threads.
- Fig. 1 The basic structure of a known, partially sliced banding machine with a flanged one Tape guide is shown in Fig. 1.
- Banding machine 10 also called banding machine by means of flanges 14 a band guide 12 with an inside Sliding surface 16 is detachably arranged.
- band guide 12 With an inside Sliding surface 16 is detachably arranged.
- banding a small loop of the band 18 is initially formed, which with a known, usually roll-shaped trained feed mechanism to a large loop is belched.
- the dashed line 18 ' shows that widening loop in an intermediate stage, of course then the stacked goods are not yet inserted.
- the banderole 18 shown with a solid line shows this Final stage of loop formation.
- the sliding surface 16 has lateral guides, not shown in the form of a U which is open at the bottom in cross-section to a to avoid lateral deflection of the band 18.
- a special embodiment of a banding machine known per se is characterized in that the horizontal Part of the tape guide 12 is missing, then only from Side horns spoken.
- a suction fan can be located approximately in the middle of the belt guide 12 with an opening in the sliding surface 16 may be arranged.
- the when expanding the Loop in the direction of the smooth sliding surface 16 pushed banderole 18 is in the area of the opening mentioned sucked in, so it can't bend down, though the clamping force across the width b is insufficient.
- the suction effect is not so big, however, that moving the Band 18 on the sliding surface 16 is impaired.
- the banderole is looped, for example by electrostatic, ionic or adhesive Attraction.
- the endless rotating flexible conveyors are as a belt, Straps, parallel stripes, threads or cords, at least two each.
- An essentially corresponding to the width of the banderole, endlessly revolving flexible tape can be fully formed but also with Perforations, slits, etc.
- Straps can the cross section e.g. round, square, rectangular or be trapezoidal.
- the outer surface of the drivable or free-running Rolling is like endless all-round flexible belts, belts, Strips, threads or cords with an electrostatic or adhesive coated on the banderole or consists of it. According to a special embodiment can this material be ionized with a charging generator, the banderole "sticks" to it releasably.
- a preferably length-adjustable tape guide is appropriate detachably connected to the banding machine or pluggable put on their horns. So you can find the optimal one, along the belt guide revolving conveyor organs used when a roll is exchanged with another banderole becomes.
- the distance between several is endless rotating flexible funding bodies to consider that The stiffness of the banderole must be so great that it to the next circulating funding body.
- the distance is therefore appropriate for a soft banderole not larger than the width of the banderole. Will the distance A sliding surface can also be formed between them be.
- rounded, Angular guides for the sleeve serve as a sliding surface be formed, especially if only an endlessly rotating Conveyor is provided or strip-shaped conveyors passed in pairs and without space over rollers become.
- a tape guide 12 shown in FIG. 2 essentially comprises an endless rotating flexible conveyor 28 in Form a wide band or strap, which in cross section is rectangular or trapezoidal. This loops around a drive roller 30, three arranged in pairs Deflection rollers 32 and a tension roller 34.
- each of the corner and deflection areas 36 is arranged with a rounded sliding surface 38.
- a corner or deflection area is shown in FIG. 3 below presented in detail.
- Fig. 2 Not shown in Fig. 2 are the brackets for the various rollers 30, 32, 34 and the angle guides 36. These are in a manner known per se on construction elements a tape guide 12 according to FIG. 1. The in Fig. 2nd and the functional parts shown in the following figures the invention completely.
- a banderole 18 shown in broken lines is shown by guided a feed mechanism 40, in the present case two oppositely drivable in the direction of arrows 42, 43 Roll.
- the band 18 is initially on a flat baffle 44 and after a space 48 via one towards of the endless rotating flexible conveyor 28 bent Guide plate 46 encountered.
- the space 48 between the flat baffle 44 and the bent baffle 46 is used in a conventional manner Implementation of tools for clamping, connecting and disconnecting the banderole 18.
- the rollers of the drive mechanism 40 and the drive roller 30 are useful at the same time and at the same speed put into operation.
- the advanced sleeve 18 runs after the bent baffle 46 on the in Direction of arrow 50 revolving at the same speed flexible funding body 28. This exercises in the present Fall on the banderole 18 and an electrostatic force takes this with them. Lifts in the corner or deflection areas the angular guide 36 the banderole 18 from the endlessly rotating flexible conveyor 28 from, the band 18 is on the concerned sliding surface 38 and then again from endlessly rotating flexible conveyor 28 electrostatically dressed. This creates a band loop and held up. After the stacked goods have been introduced 26 (Fig. 1) the roles of the drive mechanism 40 in the opposite direction driven to arrow 42, causing the banderole 18 lifted from the endless rotating flexible conveyor 28 without any other mechanical parts have to be moved. This tensioning process continues until the band 18 fits snugly against the stacked goods 26.
- the width b (Fig. 1) of the tape guide 12 is by adjustment or removing or adding construction elements, not shown adjustable.
- the tension roller 34 is the same the length of the endlessly rotating flexible conveyor 28 out.
- angle guide 36 prevents electrostatic carried along on the endlessly rotating flexible conveyor 28 Banderole 18 (Fig. 2) behind the inner pulley 32 carried out and during tensioning not by the conveyor 28 can be lifted off.
- the angle guide 36 has therefore preferred at least one of the endlessly rotating flexible Conveyor 28 in the opposite direction edge 52 to Strip the banderole 18.
- revolving means in the form of an endless revolving flexible conveyor 28, e.g. as a round belt, Stripes or straps combined with round straps. It only the upper functional part of a tape guide 12 is shown.
- the endlessly rotating flexible conveying elements 28 are formed in the form of two parallel strips, what 5 can be seen. Every pair of endless strips is via a drive roller 30 and a deflection roller 32 led. Adjacent bands are closer in practice together than shown in the sketch. The drive of everyone endlessly rotating flexible conveying members 28 takes place synchronously and at the same speed.
- these flexible conveying members 28 practice the banderole 18 high attraction, as mentioned e.g. an electrostatic or adhesive.
- This attraction must not lead to the band 18 on a drive roller 30 or deflection roller 32 is deflected too strongly.
- the banderole does not come off automatically in this area and immediately thanks to a certain degree of rigidity and at best of the weight, for example wipers 54 provided that the banderole 18 from the endlessly rotating separate flexible conveyor 28. It is obvious, that the forces of attraction exerted on the banderole only may be small.
- Fig. 6 the functional part of the upper area is one further simplified tape guide 12 shown.
- the corner or Deflection areas do not have to have a separate endlessly rotating one flexible conveyor 28 can be arranged.
- a drive roller 30 or deflection roller 32 When lifting the Banderole 18 in the area of a drive roller 30 or deflection roller 32 this is pushed further and meets that next following endless rotating flexible conveyor 28 where it will be taken back.
- you can wipers 54 according to FIG. 4 may also be provided here.
- a drive shaft 30 and a deflection roller 32 are formed.
- about each roll 30, 32 is a vertical and the horizontal, in the form of pairs of parallel cords trained conveyor 28 out. This is probably the represents the simplest embodiment and is indicated by dashed lines (Regarding the principle see Fig. 10, 11).
- Fig. 7 shows an endlessly rotating flexible conveyor 28, which is formed as a wide band and spotted applied adhesive areas 64, which is only weak bind and an adhesive object easily again release.
- Fig. 9 shows an endless rotating flexible conveyor 28, which consists of a fabric 68 as a wide band.
- This tissue contains, for example, electrostatically a corresponding band 18 acting components.
- FIGS. 4 to 6 are essentially a further developed Variant shown in FIGS. 4 to 6.
- the endless ones flexible conveying members 28a to 28i are in the form of two parallel straps formed, which from Fig. 11, one Top view, is more apparent.
- FIG. 11 For the sake of clarity, the lower part of FIG. 11 is Fig. 10 omitted.
- Fig. 10 shows that the paired conveyor organs without gaps circulate, there will only be an opening for the entering Banderole 18 left open. 4 to 6 will be analog these conveyors are driven synchronously and each have a drive roller 30 and a deflection roller 32 out. Wipers are not necessary here, the band 18 runs on each the next pair of straps.
- the holding up is carried out as described several times above through electrostatic attraction.
