  • the present invention relates to a device for adjusting the length of a bracelet provided with a clasp with folding blades, arranged between two ends of the bracelet, to form with it an endless link whose length may vary between two dimensions, one in which said folding blades are folded, the other in which they are deployed, comprising a control link provided with two axes of articulation parallel and transverse to said link, these two axes of articulation being respectively associated with two elements said link to allow, by pivoting said adjustment link around one of said axes, to interchange the respective positions of these two axes of articulation relative to each other along said link and thus to define two determined lengths of this link.
  • This adjustment device is intended to allow the user to have for each length of the strap set by the conventional adjustment means, a determined additional length having a small fixed gap with the length initially set, to allow to pass easily, without skill or particular tool, from one to the other length of bracelet.
  • the difference between these two lengths is chosen to take into account the differences in the circumference of the wrist according to the ambient heat and / or the efforts that the wearer of the bracelet makes with his arm and which result in swelling of the wrist.
  • it is possible to easily move from one to the other determined lengths, depending on whether the bracelet tightens the wrist or, on the contrary, does not fit sufficiently around the wrist. This is important, particularly but not exclusively, for a watch bracelet.

  • This wall 8d has an S-shaped profile thus forming a narrowing at the inlet of the housing 8c, the dimension of which is calculated to be slightly smaller than the corresponding dimension of the portion of the adjusting link 6 which must be engage in the logem 8c, as seen in particular in Figure 3.
  • This wall 8d therefore serves as a hooking means for the adjusting link 6 when it is engaged elastically in the housing 8c.
  • the adjustment device makes it possible to choose between two determined bracelet lengths.
  • the transition from one position to another is obtained only voluntarily by a simple manipulation, not requiring any particular skill of the user. Once in a position, there is no risk that the length changes unintentionally.
