REVENDICATIONS
La fig. 1 est une vue en perspective du fermoir ouvert;
la fig. 2 est une vue de profil du fermoir fermé;
la fig. 3 est une vue de profil du fermoir ouvert;

2. Clasp according to claim 1, characterized in that the pivots (14, 15) comprise dishes allowing their passage through the voids (16) of the rack (12).
3. Clasp according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that a leaf spring (17) whose foot (17a) is integral with the base part (1) closes all or part of the voids (16) of the rack (12).
4. Clasp according to claims 1, 2 and 3, characterized in that the locking means of the clasp consist, firstly, in the side faces (20, 21) of the base part (1) and, on the other hand, in hooks (18, 19) integral with the part of the arm (2) said to receive the end of one of the parts of the link forming the bracelet.
The present invention relates to the production of a bracelet clasp, in particular for a wristwatch, consisting of a folding clasp, ie an arm articulated on one of the ends of a base part.
Admittedly, such clasps are already known which are especially sought after for their aesthetics. Some are simple in that they have a single arm articulated on one end of a basic part, as is the case here. Others are double in the sense that they have two articulated arms, respectively, on each of the ends of a central part. In the open position, these clasps allow the passage of the hand in the opening of the bracelet without there being any need to untie the two parts of the link forming said bracelet which are fixed to it.
Many clasps as described have two major drawbacks: the first relates to their relatively large thickness, while the second relates to the limited possibilities of lengthening.
The present invention pursues the aim of overcoming these drawbacks.
This object is achieved by the means defined in claim 1.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, a possible embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the open clasp;
fig. 2 is a side view of the closed clasp;
fig. 3 is a side view of the open clasp;
fig. 4 is a view from below of the closed clasp.
The clasp shown consists of a folding clasp formed of two elements, namely a base piece 1 and an arm 2 articulated on one end of said base piece 1. At its opposite opposite end, the base piece 1 carries a piece for receiving the end of one of the parts 3 of the link forming the bracelet which is provided with a spring bar, that is to say a plate 4 whose two edges are folded at 90 and which have two holes 5, 6 opposites. The pivots of the spring bar, which is provided with the end of part 3 of the link, penetrate into the holes 5, 6, which ensures the fixing of said part 3 of the link to the corresponding end of the clasp.
Likewise, the end of the arm 2 opposite the articulation 7 carries a piece for receiving the end of the other part 8 of the link forming the bracelet which is also provided with a spring bar, ie a plate 9 two edges of which are folded at 90 and which have two opposite holes 10, 11. The pivots of the spring bar with which the end of part 8 of the link is provided penetrate all 10, 11, which ensures the fixing of said part 8 of the link to the other end of the clasp.
The end of the base part 1 on which the arm 2 is articulated comprises a rack 12 which acts as a kind of female element of the joint 7. The rack 12 has a series of recesses 13 arranged longitudinally, three in l 'occurrence, each of which is capable of receiving and supporting the pivots 14, 15 carried by the arm 2 at its shoulder and which serve in a way as male elements of the joint 7. This series of recesses 13 allows a setting adequate strap length. In fact, to lengthen the bracelet, it suffices to place the pivots 14, 15 carried by the arm 2 in one of the anterior recesses 13 of the rack 12. On the contrary, to shorten the bracelet, the pivots 14 must be placed, 15 carried by the arm 2 in one of the posterior recesses 13 of the rack 12.
To facilitate their passage through the voids 16 of the rack 12, the pivots 14, 15 each comprise symmetrically two opposite dishes. However, to prevent the articulation from undoing untimely, a leaf spring 17, the foot 17a of which is riveted on the base part 1, closes all or part of the voids 16.
Locking the arm 2 on the base part 1 closes the clasp. To this end, the arm 2 has on its plate 9 two hooks 18, 19 projecting which are intended to clamp the internal lateral faces 20, 21 of the base part 1. As a variant, the locking of the arm 2 on the part base 1 could also be provided in part by the external lateral faces of the base part 1 but, in this case, the complementary means on the arm 2, ie the hooks 18, 19 projecting from the plate 9, would be moved in consequence towards the ends of said plate 9 and would act in the opposite direction.
In the embodiment shown in the drawing, the clasp in the closed position has the advantage of perfect integration of the arm 2 in the base part 1. No additional thickness is therefore created, which perfects the aim pursued by the 'invention.
The loop 22 secured to the end of the arm 2 opposite the articulation 7 facilitates the manipulation of the clasp.
The lengthening of the bracelet provided with a clasp as described above is as much speed as simplicity and requires no tools. This clasp can equip bracelets of all kinds, leather or metal.
