Stretch bracelet with braces We know already stretch bracelets with braces, especially for watches, which can fit exactly to the wrist of the usa ger thanks to their elasticity. However, for aesthetic reasons and to prevent these straps from exerting too strong a tightening of the handle, one is called upon to modify the length of the strap to take into account the circumference of the handle of the strap. person wearing the watch. Usually, we manufacture and sell these braces of different lengths and if, exceptionally, a retail jeweler has to adjust for an urgent sale a bracelet of a different length to that requested, this operation is long and delicate. The bracelet may there be damaged or made more fragile.
The object of the invention is to facilitate this operation. It relates to an extensible bracelet with braces, in particular for watches, characterized in that it comprises a certain number of removable braces, these braces being each constituted by two elements articulated one by one. on the other and one of which has at each of its ends a rivet at head, the other element having at each of its ends with a notch, the elements of a cross being articulated to those of the neighboring cross by engagement of the edges of a notch under the head of a rivet, means retaining the rivets in the notches . The appended drawing represents, schematically and by by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a schematic view of part of a bracelet.
Fig. 2 is a sectional view of a element- element of a spider according to a first embodiment.
Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the three parts constituting an element of a cross groove according to the second embodiment.
The part of the bracelet shown to in fig. 1 is formed by several braces each formed by two elements 1 and 2, articulated one on the other by their median part, in a known manner. A spring is arranged on this articulation and tends to make the elements 1 and 2 pivot relative to each other 1 and 1 elements clockwise and 2 elements counterclockwise. Each element 2 has a notch 3 at each of its ends, this notch being in the form of a slot and opening at the end of said element.
The elements 1 carry to each of their ends a rivet to head 4, which allows them to be articulated to. </ B> neighboring element 2 by engaging the notch of the latter under the head of the rivet.
We see that this device of articulation of the elements of a spider on those of the neighboring spider makes it possible to unhook them very easily from each other. It must however provide means for retaining the rivets 4 at the bottom notches 3 when the bracelet has been lengthened.
In the embodiment shown to in fig. 2, the maintenance of the rivet 4 in the notch 3 is obtained with using a removable part 5, having at each of its ends a slot 6 in which is engaged a tab 7 of the element 2. Each end of this part 5 </ B> is folded back in 8 and constitutes a stopper preventing rivet 4 from coming out of notch 3.
When a bracelet has to be adapted to a person's wrist, it is usually necessary to remove one or more braces. To do this, all you have to do is lift the tabs 7 for fixing the removable part 5 and move the latter from element 2 to allow the separation of this one and the element 1 of the neighboring cross groove by releasing the rivet 4 from the notch in the 3.
Fig. 3 represents a variant in which a part 9 is fixed to element 2 by means of brackets 10 with which it is provided near each of its ends. The main purpose of this part 9 is to hide the to articulation spring device of element 2 on element 1 of the same cross member, a device which is not shown because it is not part of the invention. The removable part 5 to element 2 is fixed by means of this part 9 which presents to < / B> this effect, at each of its ends, a tab 7 intended to through the slot 6 of the part 5 before being bent again.
Part 5 has a tab 11 at each of its ends, intended to prevent the rivet 4 from coming out in the event of accidental deformation of the part 5.
It of course that we could provide other means to prevent the rivet 4 from coming out of the notch 3; in particular, each notch 3 could be constituted by a circular opening opening onto the edge of the element 2 by a passage whose width is less than the diameter of said circular opening.
The shank of the rivet 4 should then have a portion of rectangular section, one side of which is smaller and the other larger than the width of said passage, so that the rivet can only pass through said passage when it occupies a position. angular well determined with respect to the opening 3. For all the other angular positions, the width of the rivet presented in front of said passage would be greater than the latter, which would prevent the rivet from disengaging from said notch. In such a case, it is obviously necessary that the position allowing the rivet to be released from the notch cannot be obtained during normal use of the bracelet.
This can be achieved by choosing the position of the passage, as well as the angular position of the rivet, so that the braces must occupy their extended position and at the same time be pushed against each other so that the rivet can pass through said passage. The rivet could also be formed by part of one of the pieces of the crosspiece.
