Claims (8)

  1. Installation de transport de personnes et/ou de marchandises au moyen d'une pluralité de véhicules (10) qui comportent des roues de roulement et qui peuvent être accouplés à un câble de traction constamment en mouvement, ce qui fait qu'ils sont déplaçables le long d'une voie, notamment le long de rails (20, 30), tandis qu'au voisinage de stations, dans lesquelles les véhicules (10) peuvent être désaccouplés du câble de traction, sont prévues des roues de ralentissement (1, 2), respectivement des roues d'accélération (1a, 2a), qui peuvent être amenées en contact avec les véhicules (10), ce qui a pour effet de réduire ou d'augmenter leur vitesse de marche, caractérisée en ce que les roues de ralentissement (1, 2) sont divisées en plusieurs groupes, les différentes roues (1, 2) d'un groupe étant entraínées chacune à la même vitesse périphérique et les roues (1, 2) des deux groupes présentant la même vitesse périphérique au moment où un véhicule (10) passe de l'un des groupes au groupe suivant.
  2. Installation selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que les roues d'accélération (1a, 2a) sont divisées aussi en plusieurs groupes, les différentes roues d'un groupe étant entraínées chacune à la même vitesse périphérique et les roues (1a, 2a) des deux groupes présentant la même vitesse périphérique au moment où un véhicule (10) passe de l'un des groupes au groupe suivant.
  3. Installation selon l'une des revendications 1 et 2, caractérisée en ce que les différents groupes de roues (1a, 2a) se trouvent à une distance les uns des autres qui est au moins égale à la moitié de la longueur du véhicule (10) .
  4. Installation selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisée en ce qu'un premier groupe de roues de ralentissement (1, 2) contient un grand nombre d'au moins dix roues (1), à la reprise d'un véhicule (10), ces roues (1) étant entraínées à une vitesse périphérique qui est égale à la vitesse du câble de traction de 8 m/s par exemple et qui est réduite par la suite à une vitesse de 2 m/s à 1 m/s.
