Claims (2)

  1. Device for the lateral alignment of sheets in a sheet-fed rotary printing machine including a feeder and a printing unit with an impression cylinder, wherein the actual position of a side edge of the sheet (19) on the feed table (3) of the feeder (1) is detected by measuring elements (14) and a gripper system (7) that is arranged to be axially movable in linear guide rails (34, 35) in the cylinder gap (25) of a feed cylinder (6) arranged between the feed table (3) and the impression cylinder (4) is displaced laterally by at least one motor actuator (9) by pulses from a comparison of the desired and actual pulses of the measuring elements, and wherein an electrically actuatable linear activator or a linear motor is used as the actuator and is supported in the cylinder gap (25).
