Definitions

  • the invention relates to a protective wall according to the preamble of claim 1 and one Kit according to the preamble of claim 10. (see DE-A-3635 741)
  • a housing structure for armored Vehicles, especially for military vehicles, with flat armor plates the a three-dimensional support frame structure are known.
  • the Armor plates made of non-metallic material are in their edge area attached to the spars of the support frame by at least one terminal strip.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of designing the protective wall in such a way that no holes need to be provided in the panels and the panels largely can be displaced relative to each other as desired without creating ballistic openings result or complex manufacturing or assembly work is to be performed.
  • a protective wall 1 consists of a plurality of plane-parallel plates 2, which are made of a bulletproof material such as armor steel or Ceramic composite material are made.
  • the plates 2 have, for example, rectangular ones or square broad sides and no holes, slits or other recesses or the like, which represent ballistic holes or cause such holes to be formed could give at the fire.
  • each clamping connector 3 has two clamping strips 4a and 5a or 4b or 5b, spacer strips 6 or 7 and a plurality of Fastening screws 8, washers 9 and nuts 10 on.
  • the plates 2 are like this misplaced that their broad sides each have a substantially flat front or back of the Form protective wall 1 and their end faces in the area of the joints in pairs face each other to form spaces 11 and 12 (Fig. 3).
  • Fig. 3 At the manufacture of a vertically arranged, regularly constructed protective wall 1 the longitudinal axes of the spaces 11, for example horizontally, and those of the spaces 12 arranged vertically. This can be seen above all from the schematic FIG.
  • the terminal strips 4 and 5 are so wide and parallel to the spaces 11, 12 so arranged that they completely cover them to the front or to the rear. Analogous to the spacer strips 6 and 7 each encounter two vertical terminal strips in the exemplary embodiment 4a or 5a in the area of the abutting surface 14, while the horizontal arranged terminal strips 4b and 5b on the lateral end faces of the terminal strips 4a, 5a encounter. This has the consequence that the terminal strips 4 and 5 and the spacer strips 6 and 7 although essentially a length corresponding to the height or width of the plates 2 have that but the terminal strips 4b, 5b and the spacer strips 7 in the from Fig. 1 and 3 evidently shorter on each joint by the width of the clamp or spacer bar than the terminal strips 4a, 5a and the spacer strips 6.
  • the spacers 6, 7 can when mounting the protective wall 1 advantageously serve as a spacer for the plates 2.
  • the terminal strips 4a, 4b and 5a, 5b and the spacer strips 6, 7 are pre-selected Spacing provided with screw holes 15 which extends through the screws 8 in this way are that their heads e.g. to lie on the front sides of the terminal strips 4a, 4b come while on the free ends of the screws 8 on the back of the Clamping strips 5a, 5b placed washers 9 and the nuts 10th are screwed on.
  • the plates 2 are firmly between the terminal strips 4a, 5a or 4b or 5b braced so that there is a load-bearing wall results.
  • the rear, vertical terminal strips 5a can be used in whole or in part as supports trained or replaced by such, the feet 16 (Fig. 1) for setting up the Have protective wall 1 on the ground. It also goes without saying that more is needed arranged as two rows of plates 2 one above the other or just one row next to each other or plates 2 lying one above the other can be provided.
  • connections serving terminal and spacer strips 4, 5, 6 and 7 also consist of components that are easy to manufacture or commercially available, with preference generally being given to only the front or rear terminal strips and / or the armored steel spacer strips, Ceramic composite material or the like.
  • the other strips also Structural steel can exist to safely avoid the formation of ballistic holes.
  • it would also be possible to remove the terminal strips and / or spacers To produce structural steel, but to give them such dimensions that the sum of all in In the area of the joints or existing parts or materials, the desired bullet security results.
  • a particular advantage is that the plates 2 within the limits of the Terminal strips 4 and 5 formed guides shifted relative to each other as desired can be. This would make it e.g. possible, the pairs shown in Fig. 1 each to move two plates one above the other from pair to pair, as indicated by dashed lines 17, to the protective wall 1 to adapt to uneven terrain. In any case, the spaces 11 and 12 are each Bulletproof covered over its entire length and width.
  • the spacers 6, 7 have the advantage that they the plates 2 in support the critical edge zones and therefore when bombarding ceramic composite material existing plates 2 chips and thus weakening the Avoid marginal areas.
  • the size and weight of the plates 2 are appropriately chosen so that they can be handled and assembled by a maximum of two people, the Board thickness mainly from the required bullet resistance or puncture resistance depends.
  • the bulkhead 21 can, with the exception of longer screws 22 made of the same parts of the kit as the bulkhead 1 become.
  • the shapes and sizes of the plates, terminal strips 4 and 5 and spacer strips 6 and 7 are preferably chosen (Figs. 1 and 3) so that the plates 2 together in a grid are connectable.
  • short end pieces not shown, can be provided in order to achieve the in 1 and 3 at the lateral ends of a protective wall 1 missing parts of the shorter ones To supplement terminal strips 4b and spacers 7.
  • the grid is preferred chosen so that the plates 2 laid with their long sides horizontally and vertically can be provided that they are not square for simplicity.
  • the plates 2 are laid so that they along hair-fine, ballistic tight butt joints 25, e.g. run vertically, directly abut.
  • Clamp connectors 27 are used to connect the plates 2 Pairs of jaws 28, 29 exist, the two at the ends of the butt joints Grip around the edge sections of the associated, adjoining plate ends in a U-shape and record between them.
  • Screws 30 are used to clamp the plates 2 project through the jaws 28, 29 at locations outside the plates 2 and be tightened with nuts 31.
  • the clamp connector 27, as on the The upper ends of the plates 2 is shown, a length bridging only a butt joint 25 have or, as for a clamp connector 32 at the lower ends of the plates is provided 2, have a length which corresponds to a multiple of a plate width.
  • the clamp connectors 32 also have the other visible from Fig. 6 Cross-sectional shape. If necessary, the jaws 28, 29 made of armored steel consist.
  • the plates 2 can also at selected angles, here on the right Angles, arranged to each other and to angular protective walls 33 get connected.
  • corresponding clamp connectors 34 are provided for this purpose, which serve to cover the gaps in a ballistic manner.
  • the clamp connectors 34 have the outer corners encompassing corner profiles 35 and for contact with the Internal corners certain corner strips 36, both of which e.g. over the entire length of the plates 2c and 2d involved in the formation of the corner extend and preferably from Armored steel exist.
  • the corner profiles 35 have two perpendicular to each other arranged legs 35a and 35b, each on one side edge of an associated Apply side plate 2c or 2d, and an intermediate, diagonally arranged, middle leg 35c, the space between the two plates 2c and 2d covered from the outside.
  • the corner bar 36 supports this space covers from the inside and is arranged parallel to the central section 35c, with their Side edges on the inner sides of the plates 2c, 2d.
  • Analog to Fig. 1 to 3 is in said space also extends over the length of the plates 2c, 2d Spacer 37 with bevelled, on the associated end faces of the plates 2c, 2d arranged adjacent side surfaces.
  • These spacer strips 37 consist, for example Plastic or wood.
  • each screw hole short spacer may be provided.
  • the plates 2c, 2d are connected using of screws 38, the screw holes in the middle sections 35c, the corner strips 36 and protrude through the spacers 37, as well as on these nuts so that the side edges of the plates 2c, 2d when tightening the nuts 39 by clamping can be clamped between the corner profiles 35 and the corner strips 36 and a load-bearing Wall is formed. Otherwise, the arrangement is analogous to FIGS. 1 to 3.
  • the corner profiles 35 are made of flat material Legs 35a or 35b formed by folding, while the corner strips 36 are one have been subjected to cutting shaping.
  • Fig. 9 shows that corresponding Corner profiles 40 and corner strips 41 also by bending in the desired Form can be brought. It is understood that the legs 35a, 35b (Fig. 8) and the corresponding legs of the corner profiles 40 (Fig. 9) also other preselected Include angles as 90 ° and the corner strips 36, 41 and spacer strips 37 accordingly can be adapted.
  • the invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiments described, which are based on can be modified in many ways. This is especially true for the shape and size of the illustrated clamp and corner connectors used for their manufacture Materials and the positions at which they are arranged to connect the panels 2 become.
