- Screening devices are required in a variety of applications to sort out particles from a product that do not exceed a certain size. Such screens are also used, among other things, to obtain a starting product which is free of foreign bodies.
- a particularly important area of application is found in the food industry and in the pharmaceutical industry. Products that are intended for human consumption must be prepared here. For example, flour has to be sieved so that it is free of foreign objects such as stones. When grinding nuts, care must be taken to ensure that the end product no longer contains any nut shells. Such stones or nutshells can cause damage to the teeth of the consumer.
