- This task is the beginning of a grinding machine mentioned type according to the invention solved in that the Machine as a grinding tool in a workpiece support table grinding balls embedded at a distance from each other has that protrude from the table surface and in resiliently supported the workpiece support table are.
- the grinding balls stand out from the surface of the Workpiece support table by a defined amount. Becomes a cup to grind on the edge of her drink or one cup or the like to be ground at its drinking rim. on the Workpiece support table arranged and on the surface of the Workpiece table moved along, so each the corresponding grinding balls in the Workpiece support table pressed in. It is expedient if the one to be sanded off at its drinking edge Cup or the cup to be grinded at its drinking rim during this movement over the workpiece support table at the same time a rotation about its central axis executes.
- the one to be sanded Object in a known manner with its cup or Cup base can be sucked in by means of a suction head.
- a suction head can then rotate and move in a relative motion be moved to the workpiece support table.
- Relative movement can be linear and / or circular, elliptical or any other Act relative movements.
- the Workpiece support table with abutment elements for the Abrasive balls are formed, the Abutment elements determine the height by which the Grinding balls in their rest position from the table surface stick out.
- These abutment elements can for example, rings that light up Have an inside diameter that is slightly smaller than the diameter of the grinding balls.
- Such Abutment elements have the further advantage that they easily exchangeable, i.e. through unused new ones Abutment elements are replaceable if they after a the corresponding period of use are worn out.
- This fluid is expediently a grinding liquid with which not just the grinding balls against the associated ones Abutment elements are forced, but with which at the same time also cooling the to be ground Objects as well as the grinding balls is effected.
