Claims (18)
- Verfahren zum Umformen metallischer Körper (1) mittels hoher über ein druckübertragendes Medium (2) aufgebrachter Drücke,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als druckübertragendes Medium (2) ein niedrigschmelzendes Metall oder eine niedrigschmelzende Metallegierung mit hoher Plastizität verwendet wird, wobei das druckübertragende Medium (2) durch einen unter dem Einfluß einer Kraft stehenden starren Verdrängungskörper (4) so unter Druck gesetzt wird, daß die durch die Verschiebung des Verdrängungskörpers (4) auf das druckübertragende Medium (2) ausgeübte Kraft zum überwiegenden Teil eine entsprechende Umformung des metallischen Körpers (1) herbeiführt und der restliche Teil der Kraft die sich beim Druckaufbau bildenden Spalte mit einem Teil des druckübertragenden Mediums (2) abdichtend füllt, wobei es aufgrund des Fließwiderstandes abdichtet und aufgrund der Gleiteigenschaften schmiert. - Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß mindestens ein Teil des druckübertragenden Mediums (2) vor oder bei der Umformung auf eine die Plastizität erhöhende Temperatur erwärmt wird.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das druckübertragende Medium (2) auf eine Temperatur erwärmt wird, die mindestens 40% der Liquidustemperatur beträgt.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das druckübertragende Medium (2) bei der Umformung teilweise im flüssigen und teilweise im festen Zustand verwendet wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zwischen dem druckübertragenden Medium (2) und dem umzuformenden metallischen Körper (1) eine plastisch verformbare Wand (6) den Wärmeübergang behindert.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als druckübertragendes Medium Blei (2) oder eine Bleilegierung eingesetzt wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als druckübertragendes Medium eine Metallegierung verwendet wird, deren Fließeigenschaft der von Blei entspricht.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß mindestens der in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft der Spalte befindliche Teil des druckübertragenden Mediums (2) auf eine seinen Fließwiderstand erhöhende Temperatur abkühlen gelassen wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, zur Aufweitung eines an beiden Enden offenen zylindrischen metallischen Hohlkörpers (1), wie eines Kappenringes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Innere des Hohlkörpers (1) mit dem druckübertragenden Medium (2) gefüllt wird, die offenen Enden durch starre unter Druck stehende Wände (31, 32) verschlossen sind und das druckübertragende Medium (2) durch mindestens einen Verdrängungskörper (4) unter Druck gesetzt wird.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 9,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß mindestens eine der Wände den Verdrängungskörper (41) in Form eines zur Symmetrieachse des Hohlkörpers (1) hin sich verjüngenden koaxialen Konus bildet. - Verfahren nach Anspruch 10,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Konusform des Verdrängungskörpers (41) so gewählt wird, daß durch seine Bewegung in das druckübertragende Medium (2) der Hohlkörper (1) in die gewünschte Form aufgeweitet wird. - Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, zur Querschnittsverminderung von Langprodukten, wie Rundstäben, durch Extrudieren,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Zwischenraum zwischen einer druckfesten Form (34) und dem durch diese koaxial hindurchgeführten Langprodukt (1) mit dem druckübertragenden Medium (2) gefüllt wird und das Langprodukt (1) mit dem es als Schmierfilm (21) umgebenden druckübertragenden Medium (2) durch eine querschnittsreduzierende Düse (35) extrudiert wird. - Verfahren nach Anspruch 12,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß druckübertragendes Medium (2) kontinuierlich oder absatzweise in die Form (34) nachgefüllt wird. - Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 13, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der metallische Körper (1) vor der Umformung auf erhöhte Temperatur, insbesondere Warmformgebungstemperatur, erwärmt wird.
- Verfahrene nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8 mit 14 zum heißisostatischen Pressen,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der den umzuformenden metallischen Körper (1) enthaltende Preßhohlraum (33) mit flüssigem druckübertragendem Medium aufgefüllt und dieser dann durch einen Preßstempel (4) als Verdrängungskörper unter Druck gesetzt wird. - Verfahren nach Anspruch 15,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der umzuformende Körper (1) vor dem Preßvorgang mit einer wärmedämmenden Schicht (61), z. B. einer Emaille-Schicht oder einer Keramikschicht, beschichtet wird, deren Verformungswiderstand den Umformungsprozeß nicht behindert. - Heißisostatische Presse zur Durchführung des Verfahrens nach Anspruch 15,
gekennnzeichnet durch eine zylindrische Preßform (34) mit nach Einsetzen des zu pressenden Körpers (1) verschließbarem Boden (32) an einem Ende und mit einem in das Ende einfahrbaren Preßstempel (4), mit einem flüssigen druckübertragenden Medium in Form von Blei (2) oder einer Bleilegierung, mit einem Stutzen (8), über den das flüssige Blei (2) oder die flüssige Bleilegierung einfüllbar ist, und mit einem mittigen Anschlag für den Körper (1). - Heißisostatische Presse nach Anspruch 17,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Anschlag eine quer in den Preßhohlraum (33) eingesetzte Siebplatte (62) ist.
