Definitions
- the invention relates to a fuel supply system for a motor vehicle with a gasoline engine, the one Has fuel injection system with injection bar, with fuel tank, pump, flow line system from Fuel tank to the injection rail, via an overflow valve return line system connected to the injection rail, where the fuel tank, the pump, the Flow line system and the injection bar one Form fuel supply device, the overflow valve for keeping the fuel pressure constant the injection bar is set up, the Provide the fuel tank with a ventilation device and is otherwise separated from the free atmosphere.
- the characteristic flow pipe system denotes simple, multiple and branched flow lines.
- return line system is understood. in the Fuel tank can be atmospheric pressure or even one There is overpressure.
- Fuel supply systems are well established and proven. They are significant mechanical Exposed to stresses and designed accordingly. she are also changing thermal loads exposed and to record the resulting Thermal expansion set up. A heat introduction into that Fuel supply system is accepted. she is disadvantageous and causes environmentally harmful fuel losses and disadvantageous for the operation of the gasoline engine Fuel changes due to fuel evaporation. The easily evaporating components of the fuel distill off.
- a fuel supply system at the beginning described type, from which the invention is based, is from US-A-4,404,944.
- part of the fuel is in the range of Injection bar when exceeding a certain Pressure via an overflow valve back to the fuel tank returned.
- this repatriation only takes place sporadically and in small quantities instead of just the regulate the desired pressure. Measures that a Prevent heat transfer to the fuel or reduce, are not provided.
- Another Embodiment is exceeded after a certain Temperature in the fuel a valve closed that a Return the fuel to the fuel tank first prevented. There are none for this embodiment either Measures provided to increase the temperature in the Reduce fuel effectively. To that extent are in the well-known fuel supply system polluting Fuel losses and adverse fuel changes through fuel evaporation in purchase too to take.
- the invention is based on the technical problem that Fuel losses and fuel changes through Evaporation of fuel in fuel supply systems for a motor vehicle with a gasoline engine.
- the invention takes into account the fact that Fuel supply system for a motor vehicle with Gasoline engine affect a variety of heat sources namely the fuel pump with its engine, which on Engine block arranged injection bar, the heat to the fuel returning via the return line system emits the exhaust system when it is near the Fuel tanks is arranged, and also the gearbox of the Motor vehicle that heats up while driving. in the the rest of the heat is introduced Sun exposure and hot engine exhaust air, which on the Flow line system and the return line system as well act on the fuel tank.
- the invention starts from realizing that the disturbing influences of described heat sources and others by the Combination of the specified characteristics can be reduced significantly, so that a annoying fuel evaporation with the resulting Disadvantages no longer occurs.
- in the Flow line system in the injection rail and in Return line system is the residence time of the Fuel so reduced that it is a nuisance Heat input is insufficient.
- the fuel tank is expediently insulated.
- the invention teaches that the components fuel tank, flow line system and return line system made of plastic and consequently have poor heat conduction.
- This Components can have a heat-insulating coating made of heat-insulating plastic, e.g. B. polyurethane.
- the Coating can be integral with the components be connected. That can be done in manufacturing Respects in a simple manner, e.g. B. by extrusion coating Reach components with the thermal insulation plastic.
- the Injection bar can be made of plastic.
- the fuel supply system shown is for a Motor vehicle with petrol engine determines the one Fuel injection system and an injection bar having. The motor vehicle and its petrol engine were not drawn.
- Fuel tank 1 include Fuel tank 1, a pump 2, a flow line system 3 from the fuel tank 1 to the fuel rail 4 and a Return line system 5 from the injection bar 4 to Fuel tank 1.
- the fuel tank 1 is with a Ventilation device 6 provided and the rest of the separate atmosphere.
- Fuel tank 1, pump 2, flow line system 3 and Injection strip 4 form a fuel supply device, whose pump 2 is controlled with the gasoline engine running so that the volume flow of the injection bar Fuel by 5 to 40%, preferably by 10 to 30%, is greater than the fuel consumption.
- the Return line system 5 is connected via an overflow valve 7 the injection bar 4 connected, which Overflow valve 7 the excess flow into Return line system introduces.
- the overflow valve is in the remaining for keeping the fuel pressure constant in the injection bar 4 set up.
- the fuel tank 1, the flow line system 3, the Injection bar 4 and the return line system 5, preferably including the overflow valve 7 be insulated, in the exemplary embodiment through a coating 8. But you could also do vacuum insulation or the like. Apply.
- the overflow valve 7 is via a starter control device 9 for the gasoline engine and / or the pressure of the pump 2 when the Gasoline engine controllable in open position.
- the pump 2 has a very high efficiency of over 80%, so that Power loss is low and with it the amount of heat is low, which is generated by the pump 2 and its drive becomes.
- thermal insulation measures are carried out, and indeed then when the pump 2 with its drive in the Fuel tank 1 is located.
- the pump 2 with their drive however, outside the fuel tank 1 arranged and consequently the pump 2 heat generated in this way from the fuel tank 1 uncoupled.
- the components fuel tank 1, flow line system 3, Return line system 5 advantageously consist of Plastic.
- a thermally insulating coating 8 made of thermally insulating plastic to provide the cohesive with the components is connected, as the embodiment suggests.
