Abstract

Klappschachteln mit einem Schachtelteil (12) und einem an eine Schachtel-Rückwand angelenktem Deckel (13) sind in der Ausführung mit eingesetztem Kragen weltweit bekannt. Bekannt ist ebenfalls bereits die Gestaltung mit gerundeten oder polygonalen Längskanten (10, 11). Üblicherweise ist eine Deckel-Vorderwand (20) zweilagig ausgebildet. Entsprechend ist eine Deckel-Vorderkante gerade und horizontal ausgerichtet. Die neue Klappschachtel ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Deckel-Vorderwand (20) einlagig ausgebildet und in einem dem Schachtelteil zugekehrten, unteren Bereich zungenartig abgerundet ist unter Bildung einer abgerundeten freien Deckel-Vorderkante (37). Die Klappschachtel ist dadurch insgesamt materialsparend ausgebildet und ermöglicht eine ebenfalls materialsparende Anordnung von Zuschnitten innerhalb eines Nutzens. <IMAGE>

Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft eine Klappschachtel (Hinge-Lid-Packung) aus vorzugsweise dünnem Karton mit einem Schachtelteil und einem mit diesem schwenkbar verbundenen Deckel, insbesondere zur Aufnahme einer Zigaretten-Gruppe, wobei die Klappschachtel als Rundkanten-Packung, d. h. mit aufrechten, abgerundeten oder polygonalen Längskanten ausgebildet ist, im Schachtelteil ein aus diesem teilweise herausragender Kragen mit Kragen-Vorderwand und Kragen-Seitenwänden angeordnet ist und wobei ein aus dem Schachtelteil herausragender Bereich (Kragenteil) des Kragens in Schließstellung des Deckels von diesem umschlossen ist und deckelseitige Schließkanten im Bereich von Schachtel-Seitenwänden und Deckel-Seitenwänden zur Packungsvorderseite hin abfallend verlaufen.
  • Klappschachteln mit Kragen sind eine weltweit verbreitete Verpackungsform für Zigaretten. In der gewünschten Schließstellung liegen freie Schließkanten des Deckels an korrespondierenden Schließkanten des Schachtelteils an. Dies gilt auch für eine Klappschachtel mit gerundeten oder polygonalen Längskanten wie sie in der EP-A-0 205 766 gezeigt ist. Die bekannte Klappschachtel weist eine gerade, horizontal gerichtete Vorderkante am Deckel auf. Zugleich ist die Deckel-Vorderwand zweilagig ausgebildet. Der für die bekannte Klappschachtel erforderliche Materialaufwand ist nicht optimal.
  • Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Klappschachtel vorzuschlagen, die mit geringerem Materialaufwand und einfach herstellbar ist.
  • Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe ist die erfindungsgemäße Klappschachtel dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine Deckel-Vorderwand einlagig ausgebildet und in einem dem Schachtelteil zugekehrten, unteren Bereich zungenartig abgerundet ist unter Bildung einer abgerundeten freien Deckel-Vorderkante. Die neue Form des Deckels ist einfach herstellbar, stabil in der Handhabung und ermöglicht eine materialsparende Anordnung von Zuschnitten innerhalb eines Nutzens.
  • Weitere Einzelheiten der Erfindung werden nachfolgend anhand eines Ausführungsbeispiels erläutert. Es zeigen:

  • In den Zeichnungen ist als bevorzugtes Anwendungsbeispiel eine Klappschachtel gezeigt, deren vier aufrechte Längskanten 10, 11 abgerundet sind. Die Klappschachtel besteht aus einem Schachtelteil 12 und einem mit diesem schwenkbar verbundenen Deckel 13. In Fig. 1 wird die Klappschachtel in Vorderansicht bei geöffnetem Deckel 13 gezeigt. Dieser ist vollständig nach rückwärts geschwenkt und deshalb nicht erkennbar.
  • Der Schachtelteil 12 besteht üblicherweise aus Schachtel-Vorderwand 14, Schachtel-Rückwand 15 und Boden 16. Schachtel-Seitenwände 17 sind jeweils aus einander teilweise überdeckenden Seitenlappen 18 und 19 gebildet.
  • Zum Deckel 13 gehören entsprechend eine Deckel-Vorderwand 20, Deckel-Rückwand 21 sowie Stirnwand 22. Deckel-Seitenwände 23 sind durch einander überdeckende Deckel-Seitenlappen 24 gebildet.
  • Die abgerundeten Längskanten 10, 11 sind jeweils durch eine Anzahl von parallel verlaufenden Rillen 25 bestimmt. Diese erstrecken sich in einem der Abrundung der Längskanten 10, 11 entsprechenden Bereich über die volle Länge des Zuschnitts (Fig. 3), also auch im Bereich des Deckels 13.
  • Die Klappschachtel ist mit einem Kragen 26 versehen. Dieser besteht hier aus einem gesonderten Zuschnitt (Fig. 4) mit Kragen-Vorderwand 27 und Kragen-Seitenwänden 28, 29. Auch der Kragen 26 ist mit abgerundeten Kragen-Längskanten 30, 31 versehen, die mit den Längskanten 10, 11 des Schachtelteils 12 und des Deckels 13 korrespondieren.
  • Der Kragen 26 ist in den Schachtelteil 12 eingesetzt, derart, daß ein etwa hälftiger Kragenteil 32 aus dem Schachtelteil 12 herausragt. Mindestens die Kragen-Vorderwand 27 ist durch Klebung mit der Innenseite der Schachtel-Vorderwand 14 verbunden. Der aus dem Schachtelteil herausragende Kragenteil 32 wird in Schließstellung der Klappschachtel von dem Deckel 13 umschlossen.
  • In Schließstellung liegen Schließkanten des Schachtelteils 12 einerseits und des Deckels 13 andererseits aneinander. Es handelt sich dabei zum einen um schräggerichtete Seitenkanten 33 des Schachtelteils 12 im Bereich der Schachtel-Seitenwände 17 und zum anderen um Gegenkanten 34 im Bereich der Deckel-Seitenwände 23. Die vorgenannten Kanten sind schräggerichtet, zur Vorderseite der Packung abfallend. Im Bereich der Schachtel-Rückseite führen die Kanten zu einem die Schachtel-Rückwand 15 mit der Deckel-Rückwand 21 verbindenden Schwenkscharnier 35.
  • An der Vorderseite der Packung finden die seitlichen Stoßkanten (Seitenkante 33 und Gegenkante 34) eine Fortsetzung als Vorderkante 36 zur Begrenzung der Schachtel-Vorderwand 14 und als Deckel-Vorderkante 37 im Bereich der Deckel-Vorderwand 20.
  • Der Kragen 26 ist so innerhalb des Schachtelteils 12 angeordnet, daß der aus dem Schachtelteil 12 herausragende Kragenteil 32 im Bereich der Kragen-Seitenwände 28 und/oder 29 eine nach außen gerichtete Verformung aufweist. Diese ist hier als im Querschnitt bogenförmige Auswölbung 38 ausgebildet. Die Querabmessungen des Kragens 26 nehmen dadurch in Richtung zum freien, oberen Rand zu (siehe Fig. 1). Die Auswölbung 38 ist dabei so bemessen und gestaltet, daß sie teilweise seitlich über die Konturen des Schachtelteils 12 geringfügig hinwegragt.
  • Beim Schließen des Deckels 13 und vor allem in Schließstellung desselben liegen die Innenflächen der Deckel-Seitenwände 23 mit erhöhtem Druck und damit erhöhter Reibung an den Kragen-Seitenwänden 28, 29 im Bereich der Auswölbung 38 an. Diese kann dabei aufgrund ihrer Gestalt und der Materialeigenschaft des Kragens durch den Druck der Deckel-Seitenwände 23 nach innen verformt werden. Dadurch wird eine deutlich erhöhte Schließkraft auf den Deckel 13 übertragen, mit der Folge, daß die Schließkanten 33, 34 sowie 36, 37 exakt aneinanderliegen. Gleichwohl ist die Handhabung der Packung nicht beeinträchtigt.
  • Die geschilderte Verformung der Kragen-Seitenwände 28, 29 entsteht bei dem vorliegenden Ausführungsbeispiel durch die Gestaltung des Kragens 26 selbst. Die Kragen-Vorderwand 27 ist mit einer nach oben zunehmenden Breite gestaltet durch nach oben divergierenden Verlauf der Kragen-Längskanten 30, 31. Dies führt zu einer Zwängung im Bereich der Kragen-Seitenwände 28, 29 außerhalb des Schachtelteils 12 mit der Wirkung, daß sich die Verformung, nämlich Auswölbung 38 selbsttätig einstellt. Die Breite der Kragen-Vorderwand 27 kann so gewählt sein, daß sie im Bereich des Eintritts in den Schachtelteil 12 den Innenabmessungen desselben (Breite der Schachtel-Vorderwand 14) entspricht. Die Divergenz der Kragen-Längskanten 30, 31 kann 2° betragen, jeweils gegenüber den Längskanten 10, 11.
  • Die geschilderte Schrägstellung der Kragen-Längskanten 30, 31 gilt auch für die Ausführung mit abgerundeten Längskanten. Die Rillen 25 im Bereich der abgerundeten Kragen-Längskanten 30, 31 sind parallel zueinander verlaufend. Sie können, wie in den Zeichnungen dargestellt, entsprechend den Kragen-Längskanten 30, 31 nach oben divergierend verlaufen. Aus herstellungstechnischen Gründen ist es aber besser, wenn die Gruppen der Rillen 25 parallel zueinander gerichtet sind.
  • Das gezeigte Ausführungsbeispiel enthält eine weitere zusätzliche Maßnahme zur Erzeugung einer erhöhten Schließkraft auf den Deckel 13. Zu diesem Zweck sind die Kragen-Seitenwände 28, 29 im Bereich der Auswölbung 28 mit einem aufrechten Schnitt 39 versehen. Dieser ist im vorliegenden Falle benachbart zum oberen Rand des Kragens 26 angeordnet, und zwar am Rand der Gruppe von Rillen 25. Dadurch ergibt sich auch eine leichte Schrägstellung bzw. Divergenz der Schnitte 39. Diese enden im übrigen mit geringem Abstand vom oberen, freien Rand, sind also geschlossen.
  • Durch die Auswölbung der Kragen-Seitenwände 28, 29 innerhalb der Verpackung springt der Schnitt 39 auf. Es entsteht eine zusätzlich vorstehende Haltekante 40, die eine weitere Erhöhung der Reibung an der Innenseite der Deckel-Seitenwände 23 bewirkt und damit eine Erhöhung der Schließkraft. Der Schnitt 39 ist im Bereich der Auswölbung 38 so angeordnet, daß die vorspringende Haltekante 40 eine widerhakenartige Wirkung auf die Deckel-Seitenwände 23 ausübt, wenn der Deckel 13 die Schließstellung erreicht hat. Die Haltekante 40 ist demnach zur Vorderseite der Packung gerichtet.
  • Der Zuschnitt für die Klappschachtel und damit auch die Klappschachtel selbst ist - unabhängig von den geschilderten Schließhilfen - in besonderer Weise gestaltet. Wie sich vor allem aus Fig. 3 ergibt, ist die Deckel-Vorderkante 37 in besonderer Weise gestaltet, nämlich bogenförmig geformt, insbesondere als Teil eines Kreisbogens. Hieran schließen seitlich im Bereich der Deckel-Seitenwände 23 geradlinige Kanten an, nämlich die Gegenkanten 34. Die gesamte, den Zuschnitt gemäß Fig. 3 am deckelseitigen Ende begrenzende Kontur besteht demnach aus einem bogenförmigen mittleren Bereich (Deckel-Vorderkante 37) und anschließenden geradlinigen Schenkeln (Gegenkanten 34).
  • Am gegenüberliegenden Ende ist der Zuschnitt korrespondierend gestaltet. Die Vorderkante 36 als oberer Rand der Schachtel-Vorderwand 14 ist ebenfalls (konkav) bogenförmig gestaltet, und zwar passend zur Deckel-Vorderkante 37. Auch die hieran anschließenden Seitenkanten 33 der Schachtel-Seitenwände 17 sind geradlinig verlaufend, in Übereinstimmung mit der Kontur des Deckels.
  • Ein so ausgebildeter Zuschnitt kann materialsparend gefertigt werden, weil innerhalb eines Materialbogens bzw. einer Materialbahn die Zuschnitte im Bereich der geschilderten Kanten 33, 34; 36, 37 unmittelbar aneinanderliegen können. Die benachbarten Zuschnitte sind hier lediglich durch einen einzigen Stanz- bzw. Trennschnitt voneinander zu trennen, ohne daß dabei Materialabfall auftritt.
  • Bei der fertigen Packung ist die Deckel-Vorderwand 20 einlagig. Es fehlt demnach der sonst bei derartigen Packungen übliche Deckel-Innenlappen. Darüber hinaus paßt die abgerundete Ausführung der Schließkanten zu den abgerundeten Längskanten 10, 11.
  • Klappschachteln mit rechtwinkligen Längskanten oder polygonalen bzw. abgeschrägten Längskanten können analog ausgebildet sein.

Claims (5)

  1. Klappschachtel (Hinge-Lid-Packung) aus vorzugsweise dünnem Karton mit einem Schachtelteil (12) und einem mit diesem schwenkbar verbundenen Deckel (13), insbesondere zur Aufnahme einer Zigaretten-Gruppe, wobei die Klappschachtel als Rundkanten-Packung, d. h. mit aufrechten, abgerundeten oder polygonalen Längskanten (10, 11) ausgebildet ist, im Schachtelteil (12) ein aus diesem teilweise herausragender Kragen (26) mit Kragen-Vorderwand (27) und Kragen-Seitenwänden (28, 29) angeordnet ist und wobei ein aus dem Schachtelteil (12) herausragender Bereich (Kragenteil 32) des Kragens (26) in Schließstellung des Deckels (13) von diesem umschlossen ist und deckelseitige Schließkanten im Bereich von Schachtel-Seitenwänden (17) und Deckel-Seitenwänden (23) zur Packungsvorderseite hin abfallend verlaufen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine Deckel-Vorderwand (20) einlagig ausgebildet und in einem dem Schachtelteil (12) zugekehrten, unteren Bereich zungenartig abgerundet ist unter Bildung einer abgerundeten freien Deckel-Vorderkante (37).
  2. Klappschachtel nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich die Form der Deckel-Vorderkante (37) in Fortsetzung der Neigung der deckelseitigen Schließkanten im Bereich der Deckel-Seitenwände (23) bildet (Fortsetzung von Gegenkanten 34).
  3. Klappschachtel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Ränder - ohne Berücksichtigung des Kragens (26) - einer Schachtel-Vorderwand (14) mit angrenzenden Seitenlappen (19) entsprechend der Endkontur der Deckel-Vorderwand (20) einschließlich von Deckel-Seitenlappen (24) ausgebildet sind, derart, daß Zuschnitte für die Klappschachtel in diesem Bereich abfallfrei voneinander trennbar sind.
  4. Klappschachtel nach einem der Ansprüche 1 - 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Deckel-Vorderkante (37) im Bereich der gerundeten oder polygonalen Längskanten (10, 11) hinsichtlich der Neigung eine Fortsetzung der deckelseitigen, schräggerichteten und zur Packungsvorderseite hin abfallenden Schließkanten im Bereich der Deckel-Seitenwände (23) bildet.
  5. Klappschachtel nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 - 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die abgerundete freie Deckel-Vorderkante (37) in Schließstellung des Deckels an der Vorderkante (36) der Schachtel-Vorderwand (14) anliegt.
