Definitions
- the invention relates to a contact socket for the connection of mating contacts, in particular in the form of flat contact tongues, with a contact spring support which comprises at least one supporting wall, on the inside of which a series of curved contact springs is arranged, which expand elastically when a mating contact is introduced while making contact , wherein at least one end of each contact spring on the outside of the support wall is bent.
- the supporting walls are provided with frontal projections which penetrate slot-like recesses in their end plates, with which they are connected corresponds to the number of side-by-side, curved contact springs formed by contact spring wire sections determines the manufacture, preforming and Einder Walls correspond to, determines the number of side-by-side, arched contact springs formed by contact spring wire sections.
- the production, preforming and introduction of the contact springs has proven to be very laborious and time-consuming and accordingly expensive.
- each support wall can be stamped out of a sheet metal together with the associated contact springs.
- supporting walls and contact springs can be punched out of sheet metal with a constant thickness or thickness.
- very different requirements are placed on the supporting walls as load-bearing or holding elements than on the contact springs. It is therefore preferred according to the invention that the thickness of the sheet metal from which the supporting wall and the associated contact springs are punched is graded.
- the part of the sheet which forms the later supporting wall can be made stronger than the part which later forms the contact springs.
- the contact socket shown in the drawing is used to connect flat contact tongues, not shown, in particular flat contact tongues with the dimensions of 5.7 x 0.7 x 7.5 mm or 2.8 x 0.7 x 7.5 mm which are common in automobile construction. It comprises a contact spring support 1 with two mutually parallel supporting walls 2, 3, on the at least one, preferably both inside (s) of which a number of contact springs 4 curved in such a way is / are arranged that one of the bulges facing one another is introduced when a flat contact tongue is introduced is formed with contact elastically widening gap 5.
- the two ends 6, 7 of each contact spring 4 are bent towards one another on the outside of the associated support wall 2, 3.
- the distance of the two bending points 8, 9 of each contact spring 4 from one another is chosen to be larger by a dimension determining the size of the contact spring curvature than the distance of the supporting wall edges 10, 11, on which the bent ends 6.7 of the contact springs lie.
- the two supporting walls 2, 3 are connected to one another via a transverse wall 12 which determines the distance between the supporting walls.
- a support wall 14 is provided which delimits the insertion gap 5 for the flat contact tongue.
- the support wall 14 is provided with holding straps 15, 16 extending transversely from it and bent at a right angle. These are in each case on the outside of one of the supporting walls 2, 3. With their ends 17, 18 bent towards one another, they ensure that the support wall 14 is firmly held on the contact spring support 1.
- the transverse wall 12 is provided with a cutout 19, in which the bent ends 17, 18 of the retaining tabs 15, 16 of the support wall 14 engage. These ends 17, 18 of the retaining tabs 15, 16 are bent through 180 ° and engage behind the support walls 2, 3 each adjacent to the cutout 19.
- the end edges of the supporting walls 2, 3 starting from the end edge 20 of the transverse wall 12 are each provided with a recess 21, 22. These cutouts begin where the ends of the retaining tabs 15, 16 end.
- These recesses each define that area of the supporting wall edges 10, 11 on which the bent ends 6m7 of the contact springs 4 are supported.
- each contact spring support 1 is provided with at least one, preferably two locking tongues 25, 26. These extend obliquely to the axis of the insertion gap 5 for the flat contact tongue from the outside of the contact spring carrier 1.
- each latching tongue 25, 26 engages behind a lateral latching shoulder 27, 28 provided in the recess 23.
- the latching tongues 25, 26 are each formed in one piece with one of the two retaining tabs 15, 16 of the support wall 14.
- connection projection 29 The contact spring support 1 of each contact socket of the test contact plug device is with one of the power supply Provide connection projection 29. This starts from the transverse wall 12 connecting the supporting walls 2, 3.
- the connection protrusion 29 is provided with crimping tabs 30 which enable a cable (not illustrated) to be firmly connected.
- the connection projection can also be designed in the form of an approximately round contact pin 31. This enables, as illustrated in Fig. 3, the easily detachable connection of a cable connected to a contact spring socket 32, which is also not shown.
- the cable together with the contact spring socket 32 can be easily separated from the contact pin 31 in order to subsequently remove the contact socket, which has been worn through frequent use, from the recess 23 of the insulating body 24 and to replace it with a new contact socket.
- the exemplary embodiment according to the invention differs from the one explained above in that the contact springs 4 'are formed as narrow tongues made in one piece with the respectively associated supporting wall 2', 3 '. 12, right side, the contact springs 4 'are bent back to the supporting wall 2'.
- the transition designated 11 'from the supporting wall 2' into the tongue-shaped contact spring 4 ' replaces the edge 11 of the supporting wall 2 folded over with the end 7 according to the embodiment according to FIG. 8.
- the contact spring 4' extends along the inside of the supporting wall 2 'to their edge 10' opposite the transition 11 '.
- the free end 6 'of the contact spring 4' is bent back around the edge 10 'of the supporting wall.
- FIG. 13 shows a sheet 33.
- the upper part of the sheet 33 in FIG. 13 forms the supporting wall 2 'or 3' in the contact socket to be produced therefrom.
- the lower part is through Stamping a series of sheet metal strips formed, which serve as contact springs 4 '.
- a breakthrough corresponding to the cutout 19 according to the aforementioned embodiment is designated by 19 '.
- the sheet 33 can be thicker in its upper part, which later represents the supporting wall 2 'or 3', than in its lower part. As a result, the required rigidity and the contact springs can be given the required spring properties to the supporting walls, although the supporting wall and contact springs are each manufactured from a single sheet.

Abstract
Description

- Fig. 13 zeigt ein Blech 33.
