Definitions

  • the invention relates to a packaging for rod-shaped objects, such as cigarettes or other smoking articles, in particular a folding box with a lid, which is connected in an articulated manner to a rear wall of a box part, the box part furthermore having a front wall, side walls and bottom wall and means for arranging a part number of the articles in a position offset from another part number of objects are provided.
  • Folding boxes are a worldwide form of pack for cigarettes.
  • a group of cigarettes arranged in rows is surrounded by an inner wrapping made of tin foil or paper.
  • the folding box is made of thin cardboard and has a box part and lid.
  • a collar is usually arranged in the box part, a portion of which protrudes from the box part and is surrounded by the lid in the closed position.
  • adjacent rows can be arranged offset in height from one another.
  • the object of the invention is to propose a new type of packaging corresponding to the height offset of the objects.
  • the packaging according to the invention is characterized in that a lower edge of the front wall - lower front edge - is offset in height relative to a lower edge of the rear wall - lower rear edge. Neighboring adjacent areas of the bottom wall can thus also be automatically offset from one another, so that objects standing on the bottom wall in the area of the lower front edge are offset in height relative to the objects near the lower rear edge. As a result, the ends of the objects which are visible when the lid is open are naturally offset in height from one another, in particular a front row compared to a rear row. With further rows, more gradations may result.
  • a package design in which the lower front edge is offset downward from the lower rear edge is particularly appealing. When the lid is open, this gives the visual impression of rows of objects which are stepped against one another. The reverse case is also advantageous. Then the front row of objects is arranged higher than the rear row, so that the first object can be removed particularly easily.
  • the bottom wall itself can be designed in different ways.
  • a solution is advantageous in which the bottom wall for connecting the lower front edge to the lower rear edge is directed obliquely upwards from the front to the rear. This variant saves material and is easy to manufacture.
  • the bottom wall for connecting the lower front edge to the lower rear edge is stepped, in particular in a step-like manner with two floor levels offset with respect to one another in height.
  • further gradations with further floor levels can also be made.
  • a particular advantage here is that the individual objects stand on the bottom wall with the largest possible contact surface. The risk of damage from vibrations or the like is largely excluded.
  • separating members are arranged within the box part, which extend between the objects in such a way that they are positioned at a distance from one another, in particular one or more transverse support walls with rows of recesses for the passage one object each (each recess).
  • the rows of objects which are offset in height from one another appear particularly appealing with the intended spacing from one another and can be removed even more easily.
  • resulting effects such as friction or the like can be avoided by touching the objects with one another.
  • the two transverse support walls are connected to each other by an upright intermediate piece that bears against the rear wall or front wall of the box part, the support walls forming a support insert with the intermediate piece and preferably being folded from a common blank. You can go to the top Connect the support wall in one piece to a collar arranged in the box part.
  • a holding member for loading or holding down at least some of the objects, in particular a rear or front row of the objects, is arranged inside the cover.
  • the holding member is connected to a blank part forming the lid, in particular in such a way that an inwardly folded lid inner tab is connected to a lid front wall and a tab, which is preferably directed transversely to the lid front wall, for holding down (hold-down device).
  • the hold-down device can be supported against the top wall of the cover by a support flap which is approximately transverse to this, the support tab being preferably integrally connected to the hold-down device and folded transversely with respect to it.
  • the invention also relates to a blank for forming a package, in particular the packaging according to the invention described above. Its features and other features essential to the invention can be found in the claims and the description.
  • FIG. 1 A preferred embodiment of a novel blank is shown in FIG. 1.
  • the basic form of a conventional folding box with a box part 10 and a lid 11 is assumed. Areas are delimited by fold lines 12 to form a front wall 13, a bottom wall 14 and a rear wall 15.
  • Side walls 16 and 17 of the folding box consist of two side tabs 18 and 19, which overlap each other and are connected to each other by gluing.
  • the side tabs 18 adjoining the rear wall 15 lie on the inside.
  • the lid 11 is formed analogously with a lid rear wall 20, a lid upper wall 21 and a lid front wall 22, which connect in this order to the rear wall 15 of the box part.
  • a hinge line 23 is formed between the lid rear wall 20 and rear wall 15 for the pivoting movements of the lid 11 when opening and closing.
  • Lid side walls 24, 25 consist of lid side tabs 26 and 27 analogous to the design of the side walls 16, 17.
  • An inner tab 28 is attached to the free edge of the lid front wall 22, which in the finished pack is on the inside of the lid front wall 22 is present, cf. 3, 6c, 7c, 8c.
  • the hinged box serves to hold a group of elongated, rod-shaped objects 29. These can be conventional cigarettes, but also other cigarette-like products.
  • the package is dimensioned such that 10 objects 29 are positioned in two rows 30, 31 (five objects each) within the hinged box in an upright position. The objects 29 are spaced apart. Within a row 30, 31 are the same Clearances provided. The distances from row to row can have different dimensions.
  • each object 29 is supported and kept at a distance.
  • two support walls 32, 33 are arranged within the box part 10.
  • the support walls 32, 33 are arranged at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction of the objects 29 and also at a distance from the bottom wall 14 and from the cover 11.
  • the support walls 32, 33 run approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the objects 29.
  • Each support wall 32, 33 is provided with a number of recesses 34, 35 corresponding to the number of objects 29. These are positioned according to the relative position of the objects 29, that is to say in rows 30, 31.
  • the recesses 34, 35 of the two support walls 32, 33 are positioned coaxially, that is to say one above the other, so that each object 29 has a recess 34, 35 of one and another support wall 32, 33 passes through.
  • the shape of the recesses 34, 35 corresponds to the outer contour of the object 29.
  • - with a cylindrical design of the objects 29 - circular recesses 34, 35 are stamped into the support walls 32, 33. Corresponding stamped parts are completely removed when producing the recesses 34, 35.
  • the support walls 32, 33 are connected to one another to form a one-piece blank (FIG. 4).
  • a collar 36 is formed by the same cut. In the case of hinged boxes, such a collar is common as an insert in the box part 10.
  • the collar 36 consists of the collar front wall 37 and collar side flaps 38, 39.
  • the collar front wall 37 lies against the inside of the front wall 13 of the box part.
  • the collar side tabs 38, 39 extend on the inside in the area of the side walls 16, 17.
  • a partial area of the collar 36 protrudes from the box part 10 and is covered by the cover 11 in the closed position (FIGS. 3, 6c, 7c, 8c). 4 is formed in a special way to form a support insert 40 within the box part 10.
  • the width of the cut for this support insert 40 corresponds to the required width of the collar 36. This results in the area of the support walls 32, 33 on both sides of the same folding tabs 41 and 42. The distance between the support walls 32, 33 is determined by an intermediate piece 43 of the support insert 40 determined, also with side folding flaps 44.
  • a spacer tab 45 is also formed on the side opposite the collar 36 in the central region, which adjoins the free side of the lower support wall 33.
  • the contour of this spacer flap 45 corresponds to the contour of a conventional recess 46 formed in the region of the collar front wall 37. This overall contour makes it possible to produce the blank for the support insert 40 without waste from a continuous material web made of thin cardboard or the like by punching.
  • the collar side tabs 38, 39 and the folding tabs 41, 42 and 44 are separated from one another by punch cuts 47.
  • the support insert 40 is shaped three-dimensionally such that the collar 36 faces the front wall 13 as an upright leg.
  • the upper support wall 32 adjoins this by transverse folding.
  • the rectangular intermediate piece 43 which bears against the rear wall 15 of the box part 10, then follows as an upright folding part.
  • the lower support wall 33 adjoins the lower edge of the intermediate piece 43 by transverse folding.
  • the downwardly folded spacer tab 45 is located on the side opposite the intermediate piece 43.
  • the dimensions of the support insert 40 can thus be selected be that the spacer tab 45 stands up on the bottom wall 14.
  • Parts of the support insert 40, in particular collar 36 and / or intermediate piece 43 can be connected to the facing parts of the pack by adhesive bonding.
  • the areas of the support insert 40 are delimited from one another by parallel fold lines 48.
  • the box part 10 is designed in a special way.
  • the bottom wall 14 is directed obliquely with respect to the position of a bottom wall in a usually cuboid-shaped package.
  • the bottom wall 14 extends obliquely upwards from a lower edge 49 of the front wall 13 to a lower edge 50 of the rear wall 15.
  • the angle of inclination is approximately 25 °.
  • the bevel results in a slightly lower front row 30 compared to the rear row 31 of the objects 29. This results in a visually appealing image when the package is open.
  • the removal of the objects 29 is simplified by the graduated arrangement thereof.
  • the cut for the box part 10 is designed in a special way to form the inclined bottom wall 14.
  • the side tabs 19 are diamond-shaped with bevelled bottom edges 51. "Bottom edges" because these edges lie against the bottom wall 14 in the fully folded package.
  • lower edges 52 of the side tabs 18 are directed obliquely, namely parallel to the bottom edges 51.

  • the outer edge 54 extends in continuation to an outer edge 55 of the side tabs 18, but bevelled (inwards) to this, with a helix angle that is at least as large as the previously mentioned helix angle ⁇ of 25 °. In the present embodiment The outer edge 54 runs perpendicular to the lower edge 52.
  • a special feature is in the area of the cover 11. 1, a flap 56a parallel to this, to form a hold-down device 56, adjoins the inner tab 28 to the outside. Its function is shown in more detail in FIG. 3.
  • the hold-down device 56 is folded approximately perpendicular to the inner tab 28 and secures the front row 30 of the objects 29 against movements in the longitudinal direction thereof.
  • the rear row 31 lies against the top of the lid 11 due to the inclination of the bottom wall 14.
  • the hold-down device 56 is formed narrower than the recess 46 in the collar 36. "Narrow” means in the direction from the cover side wall 24 to the cover side wall 25. This prevents the collar front wall 37 from touching.
  • FIGS. 6a, 6b, 6c show modifications of the previously described embodiment.
