Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a package for rod-shaped objects, in particular for cigarettes.
  • Such packagings are known in various embodiments, in particular as cigarette packs, which are formed from a carton blank and closed by a hinged lid. Within the package, the items to be stored are packed next to each other and can be pulled out with the lid open at its upper end.
  • the majority of cigarette packaging on the market is roughly cuboid. In them, the cigarettes are arranged at the same height. In addition, however, are also known boxes in which the cigarettes are arranged in rows at different heights, which facilitates the removal of individual cigarettes.
  • the height offset of the rows can be achieved, for example, by a chamfer of the packaging base, so that a front row of cigarettes is on a lower floor part than the row behind it on the back wall.
  • Such a package is shown for example in the European application EP 0 618 151 AI. If some cigarettes have already been removed from the packaging, the remaining contents may lose their original order. This is particularly undesirable in the cigarette cartons described above in which the cigarettes are arranged in rows at different heights. This advantageous arrangement is already lost after removing a few cigarettes. So far, there are no possibilities to get the height offset of the cigarettes in the already opened packaging.
  • the packaging according to the invention comprises an insert for dividing the interior of the packaging, which is produced from a one-piece cardboard blank.
  • the insert comprises at least one partition wall, at least one reinforcing wall parallel to the partition and abutting the inside of the front or rear wall of the package, and a connecting wall connecting the partition wall to the reinforcing wall.
  • the connecting wall is perpendicular to the partition wall and the reinforcing wall and abuts against an inside of a side wall of the package.
  • the connecting wall On the side facing away from the reinforcing wall, the connecting wall is widened by at least one support tab to the width of the side wall.
  • On the other side there is a first support wall, which adjoins the reinforcing wall on the side, which is opposite the connecting wall, and is folded perpendicular to the connecting wall. The width of the first support wall corresponds to a side wall of the packaging.
  • the partition divides the interior of the package into a front and a rear compartment.
  • each of these compartments may receive a series of juxtaposed cigarettes located at the same height within the row.
  • the rear and the front row can be arranged offset in height, as is achieved, for example, by a chamfer of the packaging bottom on which the cigarettes are supported downwards. Due to the spatial separation of the rows, it is possible to obtain the compact arrangement within one complete row, while the other row after packaging break has already been partially emptied.
  • the partition receives even at largely emptied packaging, at least the height offset between the rows and thus the advantage of easier removal. This is a significant advantage over cigarette packs, in which the cigarettes can slip against the front wall due to the sloping of the floor when the packaging is largely empty, and thus are again at a height, so that the height-offset arrangement is dissolved.
  • the remaining parts of the insert serve to stabilize the arrangement of the partition within the package.
  • the reinforcing wall is for this purpose directly on the front or rear wall of the package, while the connecting wall receives the distance between the partition wall and the reinforcing wall.
  • Dividing wall, reinforcing wall and connecting wall are produced by cutting parts directly adjacent in the carton blank of the insert, which are folded against each other.
  • the support tab emanating from the connecting wall serves to widen the connecting wall to the full width of the inside of the side wall, so that the insert sits flush between the front wall and the rear wall after being inserted into the packaging.
