Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cigarette paper tube with filter mouthpiece, according to the preamble of claim 1, which is based on the closest prior art in EP-A-487976.
  • Paper tubes with such attached filter mouthpiece for the self-manufacture of cigarettes are generally known to either insert a tobacco portion into the cigarette paper tube as a preformed strand by means of a device or to plug dimensionally stable tobacco cartridges into the cigarette paper tube.
  • dimensionally stable tobacco cartridges can either consist of a compressed tobacco rod, possibly held together by binders, or can also be used as tobacco cartridges known from NL-A 6 703 935, for example, which are surrounded by a porous covering made of completely smokable material.
  • the invention has for its object to propose cigarette paper tubes of the type characterized in the introduction, which are adaptable both with regard to the lightness or ventilation of the self-made cigarette and which furthermore enable protection of the paper tube against deformation, in particular at the open end facing away from the filter mouthpiece.
  • the filter cigarette paper tube according to the invention consists of a conventional filter mouthpiece, for example an acetate filter plug, which is glued to the paper tube and is preferably covered with a mouthpiece wrapping sheet in the area of the filter plug and usually also covers the empty paper tube by a few millimeters.
  • this filter mouthpiece can be perforated in a manner known per se, for example by laser beams, in order to dilute the main flow smoke with secondary air.
  • a further filter plug is provided in the paper sleeve, the diameter of which is adapted to that of the paper sleeve in such a way that this additional filter plug lies tightly against the inner surface of the paper sleeve but by slight pressure in axial direction when filling the paper tube with a tobacco portion in the direction of the filter mouthpiece is.
  • the outer diameter of the filter plug is 0.05 to 0.2 mm smaller than the inner diameter of the cigarette paper tube.
  • the displaceable filter plug is arranged on the end of the paper sleeve opposite the filter mouthpiece.
  • the paper tube is stabilized at its originally free or open end suitable for insertion or tamping with the tobacco portion and cannot be damaged in the box.
  • this dimensionally stable tobacco cartridge is used to move the sliding filter plug in the direction of the filter mouthpiece .
  • devices for plugging cigarette paper tubes which consist of an elongated press chamber and a movable press beam, the strand-like tobacco supply can be moved through the piston-like tobacco ejection slide together with the displaceable filter plug with the front part of the plug-in nozzle and / or when transferring the tobacco supply be pushed into the sleeve towards the filter mouthpiece.
  • the displaceable filter plug is at a distance of, for example, 2 to 15 mm from the first filter plug in the sleeve and forms a hollow chamber filter.
  • the open end of the paper tube is not protected against crumpling; however, the paper tube is sufficiently strengthened in the lower area so that it can be gripped better and held more securely when the tobacco portion is introduced, without the paper tube being twisted or wrinkled when the tobacco portion is inserted.
  • the cigarette paper tube in a further embodiment, it can have, at least on its inside at a distance of, for example, 2 to 15 mm from the first filter plug, an annular constriction or notches arranged in a ring, which reduce the inside diameter of the paper tube by a few tenths of a millimeter or less, and thus the oppose displaceable filter plugs when inserting the tobacco portion, so that it cannot be pushed through to the filter mouthpiece and forms the above-mentioned chamber filter.
  • the constriction or notch is preferably in the area of the more stable wrapping sheet, but can also cut off with it or lie in the unoccupied sleeve area.
  • the perforation in the mouthpiece area for better ventilation can also be in the area of this chamber filter, which leads to better swirling of the main flow smoke with the secondary air.
  • the indentation or constriction does not have to be continuously annular, for example one, two or more separate areas narrowing the inner diameter of the paper sleeve are sufficient, which are arranged in a dot or arc shape, preferably at the same distance from the first filter plug, and depending on the embodiment, a more or less difficult to overcome resistance to inserting the tobacco cartridge.
  • the constriction or the annularly arranged notch is designed such that the displaceable filter plug can be pushed up to the filter mouthpiece under increased pressure despite the annular constriction or the annularly arranged notches.
  • This embodiment enables considerable customizability in the self-production of cigarettes For example, to get cigarettes of usual smoke quality on the one hand and those of lighter smoke quality on the other.
  • shorter dimensionally stable tobacco cartridges which can also be made from a lighter tobacco, can be inserted into the cigarette paper tube, which can only move the movable or displaceable filter plug up to the notch. The consumer thus receives a self-made light cigarette, which receives sufficient ventilation air due to the remaining hollow chamber.
  • the cigarette paper or the mouthpiece wrapping sheet can be perforated either only in the area of the filter mouthpiece or only in the hollow chamber area or in the distance area between the filter mouthpiece and constriction or in both areas.
  • the paper sleeves according to the invention are produced on modern strand machines, in which an infinite strand is formed, in which only one filter rod, twice the length of the first filter plug, which later forms the filter mouthpiece, is glued to the sleeve paper, while another filter rod, which later becomes the further filter plug forms, is encased without glue.
  • the cigarette paper tube with filter mouthpiece is fitted with a sliding filter plug.
  • the design of the first filter plug and that of the further filter plug can be the same or different; Instead of conventional cellulose acetate filter plugs, differently designed filter plugs of any construction can also be provided for the first and / or further filter plugs.
  • the cigarette paper tube shown in FIG. 1 consists of a conventional paper tube 2, which is connected in a known manner to the first filter plug 4 to form a filter mouthpiece by means of a glue layer 6 and by a mouthpiece wrapping sheet 8 is surrounded.
  • the displaceable further filter plug 10 At the end of the cigarette sleeve opposite the filter mouthpiece is the displaceable further filter plug 10, which can be made of the same or different filter material as the filter 4 in the filter mouthpiece.
  • the displaceable further filter plug 10 is located at a distance of approximately 2 to 15 mm from the first filter plug 4 of the filter mouthpiece and thus forms a hollow chamber 12, which preferably receives secondary air for ventilation through perforations 14.
  • the paper sleeve 2 is provided with a notch 16 shown exaggerated here.
  • This can be designed as a continuous ring or in the form of small protruding outer notches inside the sleeve and enables the slidable further filter plug 10 is not quite displaceable up to the first filter plug 4 of the filter mouthpiece, so that a shorter dimensionally stable cartridge P 1 from the sleeve can be included; this results in a cigarette of the light type due to increased ventilation in the hollow chamber 12.
  • the displaceable filter plug 10 is pushed all the way to the filter plug 4 of the filter mouthpiece at slightly increased pressure with expansion of the notch 16, depending on the dimensioning or leaves a hollow chamber 12 while leaving a distance, which can be smaller or larger depending on the dimensions of the individual parts.
  • the constriction 16 is not absolutely necessary in order to introduce tobacco cartridges of different lengths that are stable in shape;
  • the embodiment shown in Figure 2 can also be filled with short or long cartridges, the tobacco cartridge can also be longer than the receiving space of the sleeve and the remaining part of an overlong tobacco cartridge can be cut off by the consumer or can be inserted entirely into a correspondingly long filter sleeve can be.
  • FIG. 4 shows the production of a cigarette paper tube according to FIG. 1.
  • Filter rods are glued into the tube strand at twice the length of the subsequent filter plug and glued to the mostly protruding mouthpiece wrapping sheet, which is also twice as long as that of the finished cigarette tube.
  • a further filter rod is encased in double length of the subsequent further filter plug 10 without gluing, whereupon both the area forming the later mouthpiece and the area of the displaceable filter plug at A perpendicular to the axis of the sleeve strand are cut , whereby one obtains individual finished cigarette tubes.
